TODAY IS THE DAY!! This is the 5000th post according to my blogger dash.
It's been a long ride. Since starting on Gedstern's site with my little Wubs in 1997-98 I've had "Buzz For Buffy" and The LukeSon Lounge on Angelfire. I started my own GH site in 2002 and haven't looked back.
Thank you to my OG readers who've been with me since AOL days. I know you're here. I also am so grateful for all the newbies along the way. Those faithful people that comment daily. Dave for having my back. Sonya for keeping up with the daily recaps. Everyone that interacts and keeps me sane.
GH has been through some major changes since the internet came to be. As fans we finally got the chance to interact in real-time over our soap. Not always a peaceful thing but a community building exercise none the less. Actors can chime in. We even hear from the writers from time to time. I've enjoyed the show, yelled at the show and thrown my hands up in frustration. I'm always here though. I may take my breaks but for the most part I try to tweet and blog to keep the love for my soap going.
Another thanks to Daytime Confidential and Our Take Media for having my cranky voice on their podcasts from time to time. I do enjoy having a good debate.
Alberta and I salute you. She's been with me since The Lazy Lobster Pub (also on Angelfire) and has had her photo taken with countless GH actors and props. Thanks to so many fans who carried her to events and even on set tours. Someday I'll get her in a scene during taping. That's my vow.

Wow what an achievement! I read Gedstern back in the day and a guy named Sage. Discovered them both by happy accident. :)

I try to respond on Twitter when I’m on. And since it finally worked, I can tell you I love your recaps. I come here daily to read Karen’s recap and your scene breakdowns and line of the day! If you aren’t feeling it, I don’t bother watching. So thank you, both!

Anna and Dante: Gee I guess Dante didn't see that doctor that Anna was talking to hahahaha. Blind Dante? Oh NOW Anna's instincts are screaming at her? Where has it been? That denial I tell ya. It's strong.
Britch and Mama O: Dr. O wearing a mask and wearing those glasses. When Dr. O was talking to her, her glasses were fogged up! HAHAHAHAHAHA! Hmmm Dr. O doesn't know Cyrus? Dr. O you are slipping! She wants Britch not to tell anybody she is there until she gets proof about Hiney!
Britch: Did you stop off at the spa after your release? You look good.
Dr. O: Do you like it?

Wait wait WAIT! So that ISN'T a wig? She had it dyed? I'm confused. Well, I love that color. :)
Ryan's room:
Ryan and Ava: Ava wanted to give Ryan the do you feel this test. Awww how sweet.. Yikes those nails must have hurt like hell huh Ryan? Her nails weren't that long though. I'm glad to see that Ryan's hand is still gone. That is very consistent. :) He should wear a fake hand.
The elevator: OH MY OH MY OH MY! Ryan being wheeled away to the elevator and he grins! :) MUAHAHHAHAHA! Too bad he couldn't be in the elevator and smiled to Ava while the door closes.. That would have been soapy goodness!!!
Jordan's office:
Jordan and Cyrus: OH DI!!! You were right. It was a fantastic scene!!! :) She relaxed her face and I love the way she talked to him!!! :) I love when Cyrus's jaw dropped!
Metrocourt restaurant:
Hiney and BobTodd: Oh BobTodd! Why did you tell him that you are getting Drew's memories back and about Hiney's voice in your head?!?! Hmmmmm I must say though I do love the look of fear in Hiney's face. :)

Hi, I've been reading you for a while now and thought that your 5000 post was the perfect time to let you know that their are probably others like me that don't comment but read you everyday. Thanks for entertaining me with your posts. And to another 5000!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Wubsie! 5000!! I remember reading you early on...then I put two and two together when I stumbled upon you in the daybreak of Twitter all those years ago. Keep doing what you're doing, because your GH blog is the closest I've found to being non bias. You like what you like and you admit that, but you also call out the problematic areas as well. ReplyDeleteCongratulations on 5000! This site is literally my saving grace when it comes to GH. I've been watching the show since I was in middle school and recently I've had to give up cable so trying to watch the show in real time has been difficult. However I know I can come here most days and get the best, most lively recap that makes me feel like I've actually viewed the episode. Keep doing what you're doing because it makes a difference!
