Sunday Surgery: Trouble In Teen Town

 

Swinging into the end-ish of September has been a test of patience. This on top of all the newbies has been a drag on most if not all of the 'stories' brewing on this show. I'll give you the rundown of the week but it won't be much to digest. Skipping around also seems to be the direction we are going in so if you don't see me mention something, that's because it's now on the B side of things.

Prison Beat Down

 

FRIDAY. 

Jordan and her sister. Sister is sassy, looks at Jordan's scars. Wonders if she's going to get them fixed. Calls her a drama queen. They banter. Guess they don't like each other. Monet tells her that she's staying in PC for a year and working for Diane and Alexis. Bicker, bicker. I guess Monet really loathes Jordan.

Hudson wormed his way into the Q house and is looking at Brook and Phoebe. This is so predictable. They do peek a boo with Phoebe. Chase walks in. Looks mad. Tells Brook he's moving back into the house. She figures out his lawyer told him to do that. She's not happy he doesn't want to work things out between them.

Joss is meeting with Michael at the Metro. He wants her to keep living at the Qs to help him keep an eye on Chillow. She's not so sure and thinks he sounds like Drew. Says he needs to let things alone.

Lulu called Jason to the house to talk about Danny and Charlotte. They egg each other on. She needs back up with Valentin and asks Jason to do that. 

ADA and Sonny talking about the stupid dumpster kiss. Are you IN THE MOB or OUT? I'm out..do you WANT TO SEE ME OR NOT? UGH insufferable. 

Charlotte is at the boathouse looking for Danny. He's at the feed store with Cody. She wants to use Rocco's phone. Rocco doesn't think that's a good idea. They argue. She says he only did what he did to impress Scout. Then Rocco gets a phone call from Lulu.

Curtis and Sidwell. Curtis warns Sidwell he's going to get beaten and should go to the warden. Sidwell says no, he wants to hire Curtis to be his bodyguard. Curtis says no, he just wanted to warn him. Leaves. Later 3 guys come in to beat him up. Beat him up badly, pull a knife. Curtis comes in just as they are about to stab him. Then they turn to stab Curtis. 

Carly and Val talk about Charlotte. He mentions boarding school and Carly says he really should tell Lulu and join forces. It would be best for Charlotte. I actually agree with Carly! Later, Jason comes over to share his talk he had with Lulu. They say it sounds like something Carly would do.

Valentin goes to Lulu's and Jason leaves. He tells her she is right about Charlotte. Then tells her the entire story about the car. Lulu wonders if she really IS seeing Drew. Val says no she was setting him up so Danny could see Scout. They talk more, he mentions boarding school. They call Rocco and tell him to bring Char home. 

END: 

Curtis and Sidwell both get beaten and left on the floor. Guy says: Sonny Corinthos says you deserve this and more. 

Charlotte finds out she's going to boarding school.

OMG this is so stupid. Apple and Hulu just announced price increases that are STUPID. I think I'm going to look at cable again and fk streaming. UGH. I really only watch GH on live tv --ergo having Hulu for $109 a month to get GH (and that's WITH ADS!) just burns me.

RANT OVER! TODAY'S SHOW: 

Chase and Willow. They dog on the Quartermaines. She says he should move back in (probably because he'll be closer)

Drew goes to Michael and tattles on Drew and Willow for being close in the gym. Michael is like: MEH. Just yada yada. 

Monet and Tracey. Tracey says no way is she letting Chase move back in. Monet threatens with legal separation and a custody agreement.  Around and around. Monet says to make sure Brook agrees with what Tracey wants. She leaves. 

Jordan and ADA . Jordan says she saw ADA and Sonny Kissing! OMG! What are you thinking? I mean-- whatever. ADA says she just can't quit him. She leaves and texts Sonny.

Alexis is in Pentonville talking to a rando client. Sidwell walks up, wants to hire her to get him out. He says Sonny is going to kill him. Alexis is like: BLOOP! Sidwell pleads his case. He says it will be her fault if he dies and she didn't help him. 

Ava and Sonny argue over ghost Avery . He wants to take her to NYC and Ava's like NOPE. I was going to take her in JANUARY! IT'S OUR THING! The DIALOG ON THIS IS SO BAD-- wow. WOW. So bad.  Sonny threatens Ava and says she'd better pick up the phone NOW and call the school.  SHE DOES. She caved. 

Drew and Ava meet at the Metro to talk about bringing down Sonny. 

Michael and Tracey have tea in the Q kitchen. Chase comes in. Tracey is letting him move in. 

END: 

Tracey is telling Michael she thinks Chase and Willow will have an affair if they are close enough. 

Willow has a steamy fantasy about doing Chase in the steam room 

Monet is Jordan's little sister.

Heather is back in November ... Soap Opera Digest is reporting the goods!  So, is she Trina's stalker or a red herring? NOVEMBER -- which means whatever it is, it's gonna take some time. 

TODAY'S SHOW: 

Dezi is visiting Curtis in jail. He says he's sorry about not believing Portia about Isaiah not being the driver. 

Tracey and Brook are talking about Chase. Tracey basically says stop being a sad sack. Later, Yuri is there to figure out how to plant shrubs/trees around the gatehouse. Also, keeping an eye on Willow. She realizes Chase not having a legal separation might hurt him. Yuri says he shouldn't be pulling and pushing things. She's like: Sorry it's what I do.

Chase is talking to new Lawyer Lady. She says the sooner he gets a legal separation the better, it protects him. He also should move back into the Qs asap. Looks better that way. He says Brook will be ok about it but not sure about Tracey.  Monet says she'll take care of her.

Willow is talking to Ava about Nina. Ava is trying to convince her Carly had something to do with Brennan and that's why she threw Nina under the bus. Willow thinks it over, then leaves. 

Drew is talking to Kai about his shooting and asks why he didn't come forward sooner. He also says Kai made sure Willow didn't hurt him further and that's loyalty. Wants him to work at Aurora. Kai says no way. Drew smiles as he leaves. He thinks he will. 

Trina wants to quit singing. Gio's like: @@ ! If you quit, I'm quitting! Brook comes by and says Simon's looking for them. Gio says they are discontinuing their contract. Brook says: Don't do that. Trina says you have no say in anything.  Then Brook convinces them to at least keep working with Simon. Geeesh that lasted 4 seconds lol. 

Ric and Sonny are talking about Drew. Some guy named Vito comes in and Sonny talks to him alone on the patio.  Sonny wants Vito to take a message to a prisoner in Pentonville. He wants Sidwell looked after. He knows people in there. Ric says don't worry about Sidwell, worry about Drew. 

END: 

Ava storms into Sonny's because the school told her he's taking Avery out for a couple of days and didn't ask her.  She's pissed.

IT's Hard Raising a Teen

 

TODAY'S SHOW: 

Brown Dog has Jordan and ADA talking. Jordan says it's not a big deal about Brook lyn not being charged she really didn't even DO ANYTHING. Why the HELL didn't she feel like that with Isaiah then? AHAHAHA.  They talk about nothing really. ADA says she's running for DA. 

Sonny and Jason are talking at another table and Britt walks in. AWKWARD. Jason and her stare at each other. She leaves. Sonny's like: Um, she's not happy. Jason says he can't give her what she needs even if he is outta the biz. Sonny keeps staring over at ADA. Then back at Jason. Then back at ADA. 

Danny is still mucking out the horse stalls. Tracey tells him he's not done and he's in bigger trouble than he thinks.  Taking the Shelby was a bad move. He said it was the only car he could hotwire. Tracey tells Danny to ask Jason what he was going to do when he was his age (doctor)

Scout is sad she has to lie about Rocco. Rocco says maybe they shouldn't lie and wants to tell Drew they are "hanging out". Scout doesn't want to because he's close to Danny and also who his grandpa is. They kiss... get all giggly. Rocco finally gets the text about dinner.

Lulu and Dante wait for Rocco at The Metro Patio.Rocco's late. So they talk about Dante doing yoga. He drops that Liz took him. Then Carly walks up..is really uncomfortable talking to Lulu about Charlotte going to the opera. She leaves fast. Dante texts Rocco to get his ass to dinner.

Carly talks to Molly about helping her with Charlotte. HUH? YEP. Carly doesn't want Scout to tell Drew what Charlotte did. They are not sure they should do that. Then they think they should. 

Charlotte tells Val it was just a prank to be in Drew's car. Carly's like: Tell the truth, or I WILL. She says Danny didn't want her to do it. She hid to set Drew up. Carly gives them some space. Char says :Well, I'll do better next time AHHAHA. Valentin blows up. Tries to scare her about what could have happened. Reminds her of all the crap she's pulled. He wants her phone and she can't see Danny anymore.

Yoga with Emma, Anna and Felicia. Britt comes in : Don't shoot. Ha ha. Emma's mad, says her Mother has PTSD. Emma goes to get water. Tells Emma to cool it until she's in the woods with a gun in HER head.  Then Anna wants to talk to Britt alone. She apologizes and wants another chance. Britt accepts. Says she didn't tell anyone she knew where Anna was. They call it even. 

Molly goes to the Surf Shop and tells Scout it's best if she didn't tell her Dad about what Charlotte did. 

Jason leaves to go talk to Danny. Sonny gets up and leaves. Jordan gets a text ... leaves...then ADA leaves.

Getting Clean

 Sorry! Our washer and dryer came at exactly 2pm!!! Ugh- I will watch on Hulu later ... 

WELL I got in at 2:40!! SO I'm here for a part of the show! 

Jason is at Anna's when Baines comes in. Baines says she's a special case and not an agent at the time. They vetted her psyche lady and she's ok.  Anna signed an NDA to stay in Port Charles. She can't talk about her time in captivity. She was happy to sign. 

Isaiah is for some reason consoling and chatting with Britt about her captivity. Britt is glad he believes her. 

Danny is sad about Rocco not liking him much and Cody is going to give him wise thoughts. HE says to just ignore Drew and do the right thing. Then people like Tracey and Alexis will go to bat for him. 

Rocco and Scout talk about how badly Charlotte behaved. Scout is pissed Danny knew about it. She doesn't think her father deserves anything.

Charlotte and Carly talked about using sexuality to get what you want. She knows something about that. Carly calls Valentin (who was with Willow).

Sunday Surgery: I'm Just A Girl

 

....Standing in front of a show, asking it to entertain her. 

I honestly don't know how I'm going to do the blog for this week. After the Friday announcement of yet ANOTHER character coming in, part of me just wanted to drop it. Part of me still does. Hard to be objective when I'm feeling so down on things.  

GH has it's awesome, wonderful and almost perfect moments. We all know that. We also know the principal actors are magnificent. Trying to stay the course for that brief and fleeting day or two (sometimes three) is getting harder and harder. 

BUT! Here we are. I watched the whole week and can let you know what happened. Sit back and let's go: 

YEP Another One- Friday

 

SO, here we go. I'm speculating it's Jerry Jack with a new face. He comes in October. We know he'll be tied to JJE and Hudson. 

Such a gorgeous day here. High 70s, no humidity and blue skies. Unexpected too. My headache is gone!! WHOOT! 

TODAY'S SHOW: 

Ric tells Willow her mother is being held by the WSB. Willow's upset. "she's not a murderer"! Ric wonders if Nina is covering something up for Willow. Willow says she's had limited contact with Jack. Then he finally tells her Nina's already been sent to Steinmaur.

Elizabeth goes into the PCPD and drags Dante away from some WSB agent because he's arguing with him. He tells her he's on edge because of Anna. He explains becoming the commish again. This is basically narrative. She says he does too much. Has an idea to help him. She takes him to yoga. 

Joe and Molly are in the yoga gym thing. Joe says he gave his guest pass to Lucas. They tell Molly they are in the same apartment but fall all over each other to explain why. Later Molly says Lucas should thank Lucy Coe for bringing them together. He's like WE are NOT! 

Jordan is waiting in the metro for someone. Oh, it's Drew. He wants to say sorry for Brook Lyn. He says the Qs are liars. They talk about the Qs. Boring. He wants to repair his relationship with Curtis and Jordan. 

Lulu is meeting with Valentin because he lets Charlotte "run wild". She mentions the accident with Chases' truck and Olivia told her. NOT HIM. He promises to keep her in the loop. They talk about Char growing up.

Danny is looking for Charlotte in the horse house. She's not there. He texts her. Tries to call her. Then tries to call Drew. Texts her NOT TO DO IT. 

Drew parks his car somewhere outside. Gives a valet the key. Charlotte is peaking around the corner.  So she goes to the valet booth, grabs Drew's key--Opens the door. Then when the valet leaves again she sets her phone up on a ledge and films herself getting into Drew's car. She hides in the passenger wheel well...crouches down. Flashes back to telling Danny she'll get incriminating footage of herself with Val and they can blackmail him. She is going to jump up and put her arms around him. Then say she'll release it to social media unless he lets Danny see Scout. 

END:

Willow thinks back to Drew saying she won't have her mother to rely on for long

Ok, so if you haven't seen it, scroll down a post and look at the newbie that's coming. 
Also today we walked our fave memorial garden around here and it's also a bird preserve area. ALL the songbirds were gone. I heard crows and Blue Jays. Cardinals once and awhile. Everything else? Vamoose! Tying into Serena's MIGRATION story. Just thought you'd like that. 

Also, not sure I'll make it the entire hour today. I'm not feeling great and GH has been zzzz.

BTW, watching S3 of Silo (only on Ep5) and IT'S SO GOOD. Such a good series. (Apple) 

TODAY'S SHOW: 

Carly and Joss eating breakfast by Moss. Carly hopes Joss doesn't feel guilty about turning Anna in. yada yada...Carly also says she doesn't think Joss is JUST working for her father's company. Jack told her and Valentin that she was doing it for the WSB. Then she says she incriminated Nina for Jack's disappearance. They talk about Nina and the WSB. blah blah blah

Lucy and Brook eat at the Metro restaurant. Brook is pissed Lucy told Chase the truth. Lucy says he's a good detective. Now Brook wants her shares back. Lucy says nope. Serena walks up. Brook tells her her mother is a liar. Brook leaves. Serena wants to know what happened. Lucy says she just needs her to get Michael's shares of Deception. Michael comes over to talk to them both. 

Michael and Jordan at Aurora. He says she's doing a good job. He thought she'd be mad at him about Brook Lyn and that he knew. She says no. Then Brook comes in and wants to talk to Jordan. She apologizes. Jordan says it's her fault they got in an accident. 

Trina and Curtis at the jail. Trina's mad at Brook Lyn. Curtis says it's his fault he's in there. They are mad Brook didn't come forward when she could have. Trina thinks her singing career is because of Brook's guilt. She fired Brook. Curtis says don't punish herself over him. She's so talented. 

Nina's upset that she can't see a lawyer yet. Baines says well, that's because you're in WSB custody. Ric is outside trying to get in there and asks Dante to talk to the agent. Baines tells Ric he can go in. Then he shows Nina the wallet they found in her car. She's like: WHAT HUH? Baines tells her he can take her away at any time... even without a body. She talks to Ric alone. She says she's being framed. Then Baines comes in, arrests her for threatening a WSB agent in the line of duty-- and as a suspect in his murder. She's being extradited. 

Drew tells Ava about Nina drugging him. She is like: HUH? He also says she tried to kill him, that's why he put Brennan's wallet in her car. Ava's mad. Leaves. 

STUPID ADA and Sonny Love Nest junk. He wants to know what's happening with Nina. She says she can't tell him because it's the WSB running it all. He doesn't want her help. She says she can't go on vacation with him. Not now NOT EVER. 

END: 

ADA says Robert is stepping down and she wants to run for DA office. 

They drag Nina away in handcuffs and Ava watches. 

Meet Monet

Soap Opera Digest  Blythe Howard has been cast as attorney Monet (no last name yet) that is set to join Alexis and Diane's firm. Look for her next Wednesday Sept 23rd. 

Look, I'm all for diversifying the cast more, especially given the spate of newbies we've had this year but.. ANOTHER ONE? I.. just... need to sit down. Guys, I can't remember or keep straight the character names WE HAVE NOW!! 

I guess we DO need another lawyer on the show so... here we go. Hope she's a great actress! 

So.. Ava had a Blue Whale

 

IT's my boy's birthday and nothing humbles you more than thinking about how OLD THEY ARE-- OY!! He was born at 3:58pm which back then was right when GH ended. HA HA. Not that I was watching but I thought it fitting. 

TODAY'S SHOW: 

Ava goes to Drew's house. She wants him to search for ticks. Pretty fun dialog. She says what if someone else gets one in that nature preserve and they realize she's lying. If she goes down, so does he. Drew thinks about planting Brennan's wallet in Nina's car.

Scout is at the Q barn talking to Danny. She tells him she told her Dad she was with him instead of where she was. He asks where. She says PCU party. Charlotte walks in. Scout says: YEAH, I was just checking it out. She leaves. Charlotte doesn't believe her. Thinks Scout has a secret boyfriend. 

Nina calls Ric at the Metro to help her if she needs legal stuff. Sonny walks by. She says it's all Carly's fault she's in this mess. Sonny says he doesn't think Carly would lie about it. She says she exaggerated a fight. Then she says she's meeting Ava. He says UGH.. she thought they got along now. He's like NOPE. Nina asks who he's meeting. Tracey walks in. 

Ava and Nina talk. Nina tells her she's been questioned in Jack's disappearance. Then Agent Baines walks in and stops at their table. Nina introduces him. 

Tracey and Sonny talk about Brook and the accident. She wants help getting Gio to not be mad at Brook Lyn. This is.. OMG really? Tracey wants Sonny to tell Gio to forgive his mother. 

Carly is at Anna's. She just wanted to check on her. Didn't know Val would be there. She leaves. Anna tells Valentin to go after her.  He's going to stay until Felicia gets there. Anna says to tell Carly that he's done looking out for her. She says he's different now that he's with Carly and she likes that for him. Felicia comes in. Anna and her talk about her trauma.

Carly goes home and chugs wine. Thinks about Valentin and her drinking wine together. Valentin walks in. They talk about Anna needing him. Carly says she hates the WSB and that Joss is all up in this too. 

Chase goes to the Q's, is packing up his stuff. Brook is upset. He picks Phoebe up. She's like we can work this out. He says he just wants to put Phoebe down in the nursery HIMSELF. He then tells her he went to Alexis about a divorce. 

END: 

Nina is arrested.

Charlotte thinks Drew should be found with someone he 'shouldn't be with". Danny: WHO? 
Charlotte: ME (oh lord, will they go there?)

Breakdown

 

Looks like people read the Jerry Jacks post from yesterday!! I'm still floundering a bit with all the newbies on GH--I forget about characters all the time. Yesterday was all: OMG, Serena, that's right. LOL 

TODAY'S SHOW: 

Molly and Cody talk about Scout and Drew. Outback talk--about escaping and such. Molly thinks Drew will find out Scout is lying about things and she'll have a price to pay. They keep talking and end up kissing.

Carly and Jason playing pool at The Brown Dog. Carly wins. Jason's sad.  They talk about relationships. Then about Brennan disappearing. She doesn't want Val blamed.

Emma talks to Anna and wants to help. Anna says she wants Emma not to worry about her. Emma says she's shutting her out. Anna wants Emma to live her own life. 

Chase talks to Alexis about a possible divorce. Will it affect the adoption? She says no, it's all done and all they'll have to do is figure out custody. He wants 50/50. She says she can't represent him because she did the adoption. Also, he should try to avoid family court. It's a mess.

Tracey and Brook talk about Brook's marriage. Tracey says if Brook wants to save it, she's on board. Brook is SURE Chase will forgive her. She's done worse, right? 

At the Metro Patio: Nina, Willow, Britt and Dr O having lunch--Val wants to talk to Nina. He tells her to lawyer up since Baines talked to her. He leaves, Britt runs after him. 

In the hall, Britt tells Valentin about Anna trying to kill her and she's out of control. Val can't believe it.. Britt says she's not going to press charges but someone better talk to her. Val is concerned. 

Later, Britt comes back to the table and tells everyone she broke up with Jason. Dr O is like: Oh you'll get back together. Then she tells Willow to use her office to get the WSB to lay off Nina. Willow is like I Can't DO THAT! Then when she sees Chase leaving from his talk with Alexis, she runs after him. 

Valentin goes to Anna's. She wants to talk to him so Emma leaves in a huff. He says "I talked to Britt---I know".  Anna tells him everything. He says "you know Peter is dead, right'? She says she lied to fool everyone, just like she was trained to do. Good talk about the WSB and her maybe going away to their facility to get well.  He says he will TAKE HER AWAY!! She's like you just got your life back. He doesn't care. She breaks down and sobs because she's not sure what she's capable of anymore. They embrace. Good Scenes.

Joss is talking to Baines about Nina and Jack Brennan's relationship. Baines is pruning a bonsai tree. Must be his 'thing'. Joss tells him the gossip about Jack and Carly then Jack and Nina. She thinks that Anna is lucid now and should stay in PC for treatment and be close to Emma. She leaves. 

Back at the Brown Dog, Emma walks in to thank Jason for helping Anna. Then Joss comes in and tells her what she told Baines. Emma says You bitch! OMG EPIC TAKE DOWN BY EMMA! She calls Joss entitled and still the girl that cheated on Cameron hahhaha! Tells Carly that SHE should know what it's like to be in a straight jacket and being exploited. Then she leaves. Joss says she was right about most things.  Carly tries to talk to her and Joss is like: I can't talk to you!! Carly leaves. With her blazer btw. Joss tells Jason that it was Anna's choice for her to go to the WSB.

END: 

Jason tells Joss he thinks Anna wanted to be turned in because she is scared and needs more treatment

Baines calls for a warrant on someone for attempted murder

Recast Roulette - Jerry Jax Edition

 THIS IS A SUPER-FILLER we needed to get in before anything REAL happens on GH..

Sebastian Roche as Jerry Jax

You may have heard that Steve Burton blurted out that there has been a recast on the show. The actor is already taping, as Steve had some scenes with him. Speculation is that it is either Jasper Jax or Jerry. Many people are leaning towards Jerry, because everyone seems to think that Hudson is Jerry's son. Another big clue is that the actor has been on more than one prime time show and is well-known in the industry.

Before the reveal leaks, we decided to take a stab and come up with some ideas as to who it could be.

Bryan Cranston

Bryan is a soap native. I remember seeing him on episode 1 of Loving. If this is just a short gig, for a few months, I can see him returning to his roots and play around with this character for a little bit. But I couldn't see him long term. 

Grant Show

 He was on Melrose Place and Dynasty 2. He could actually pass as Hudson's father. He was on those shows for several years, so it would seem like he could make a long-term commitment to this one. Plus, he would probably bring a fan base.   

Christopher Meloni

We know his track record. His recent prime-time show just ended. Like Bryan, I don't think I can see him as a permanent replacement, but for 6mos to a year, he can really bring some excitement to the show. 

Bradley Whitford

 Very, very long credits in Prime Time and also a multiple Emmy winner. He would bring some serious star power to the show.

James Spader

 This would be a wild card. He was on the Practice and Boston Legal. He could definitely come on board as a villain.

(Dave) I see Grant Show for the reasons I mentioned above. He would bring a different personality to the character and take him in another direction like Charles Shaughnessey did. Also, he would make a long-term commitment.   

(Karen) While I applaud David for coming up with these great ideas, I'm SUCH a Sebastian Roche fan there's no way I can endorse anyone but him. SORRY!! I say if you're going to have Jerry Jacks, it's him or NO ONE. 

Ok, I'm going to relent and say Bradley Whitford is an inspired choice! I'd love to see him tackle that role. 

And if it isn't Jerry Jax that is being recast and it is Jasper (Joss' dad) I have the perfect person for that role.

Barn Dinner

 

MONDAY?

MONDAY? Where did the weekend go! I swear time is just fluid lately lol. NOT on GH however. Time is either fleeting or one day lasts 2 weeks. 

TODAY'S SHOW: 

Serena is at the barn. Cody is home. She brought in Outback who she found. Serena was "night bird watching" the migration and found Outback in the reserve . Cody wonders why the Qs weren't watching her. Felicia and Mac come in! YEAH! They are going to have dinner together. Everyone talks about how much Dominique would like this.

Hudson goes to visit Carly at her office in the Metro. Joss wants him to rent an office for her. He says she makes him do the grunt work. He wants her to get someone from corporate to do that and fly them in from Australia. Carly's like: not a great idea. She says he's the one that talked her into staying. She has a request to stay between the two of them. She wants him to stay with the company. They go to look at the office space. 

Anna's at GH and upset-- she wants to talk to Tristan about the WSB. She is seeing a civilian therapist and is afraid the WSB will find out she has PTSD and make her go away to one of their hospitals. She doesn't want to go and wants him to consult with the case to help her stay in PC. I don't know--makes no sense but go with it. Tristan listens to her heart and says she's now his patient so he can help her as much as she needs and he can't tell the WSB. 

Joss goes to see Anna who's not home. She asks Emma if she can wait. She walks in and Emma's like Um, you can go. They start to argue. Emma grabs Joss. Anna walks in. Sends Emma to the shop for tea. Emma's not happy. Joss says she heard from Britt what happened and now needs to hear from her. Anna tells her about it all. Joss says finding Anna's note in the room helped her survive. She understands Anna went through something horrible. Anna says BUT WSB protocol says you have to turn me in. You must do this. Joss says she's not even really WITH them right now and there's a lot of gray area. Anna says that she knows what it means to be an agent and if she's making excuses, maybe she shouldn't BE an agent. Whatever Joss decides, she'll understand. 

Britt and Jason are arguing about Anna. He's like you didn't even SAY anything when she was being held captive, now you can make it up to her. Britt says Anna was moved before she even knew about her. Jason DOESN'T BELIEVE HER! OH MYYYYYYY. Britt is like @@!!! She says you love me, you're supposed to believe me and he's like: Sorry but I don't. Welp that's that. Jason says he can't be her witness if she turns Anna in. Britt asks if Anna had shot her and he found her over her body, would he cover for her? They decide to break up.

Two seconds later, Jason and Carly are in the elevator talking about the break up. Carly acts sad for Jason. You loved her--he says he loves her but not enough. They are going to the Brown Dog to play pool. 

Alexis and Molly talking about Scout and her phone and Drew. Then Scout comes over to have a seat. They have dessert. Scout says not to tell her Dad she was there. Alexis is like: NOPE Not telling him a thing. Scout leaves. Molly is like: Drew will be mad. Alexis says: LET HIM

Nina and New WSB Guy Baines. He questions her about Brennan. She asks if he sent Jack on assignment. Where is he? He says Carly reported her threatening Jack and a lot of people witnessed it. She says they are romantic and had a fight...no biggie. BUT she can't find him now. Baines says he was last at the Metro and no one has heard from him in 3 days. She says she was working alone in her office that night. He says IN this building right? She says yep, and I won't way anything else without a lawyer.

Hudson calls mystery man and says everything is going according to plan.

Sunday Surgery: Ode To Anna

I came to my Dad's on Friday so this will be a very short SS for me. I think I've paid my dues over the years- this is the 6902nd post since I started. EESH!! 

This week was a whopper on Monday and then wound down slowly through the week. Thursday's show flew by which is the sign of great dialog and movement. My focus is on FINOLA HUGHES  because Anna just stole the entire show. Amazing. Simply amazing. It's not like we really liked or wanted the Phantom Peter story but she played the hell out of it. The conclusion in the woods was a masterclass in all things drama. 

In real life, Finola teaches "Performance for Camera"  at the USC School of Dramatic Arts. Here she is on Kelly and Mark discussing her class: 

We've all watched her throughout the years and us olders know how the character of Anna has evolved. Finola has mastered even the most subtle emotions. She never EVER phones anything in, that's for sure. 

The biggest issue is that there has never been a costar that's good enough for an Anna Romance. Duke and Robert were perfection.  Not sure there ever could be again. I'm fine with that. The huge bright light is Emma, her granddaughter. Braedyn is such a great casting choice and if I can't have Robin, I'll take her. 

Ok on with the show!! 

Anna shoots Peter to rid herself of his manifestation. She and Jason talk in the woods. Good scene with Emma. Glad she has a new therapist. Maybe that lady will be recurring. BTW, TRISTAN could have been a psychiatrist, right? At least he'd be of some use. 

Britt's big ol' mad at Anna...Trina's big ol' mad at Brook. Chase fled the Q house and went to Willow's. He did NOT spend the night however, but Hudson saw him leaving the place. 
Ava's tick was a Lone Star. She needs meds and made up a story about petting a dog outside of her Art Gallery so she didn't have to disclose the pit where Brennan's body is decaying. 

Rocco and Scout kissed. I think Jordy/Curtis and or Isaiah will sue Brook Lyn in Civil Court. 

Carly points Baines in the direction of Nina for Brennan's death, playing right into Drew's plan.

Ned showed up. Highlight for sure. I wish they'd pay Wally enough to leave Days. 

That's it!! You didn't even have time to finish your coffee did you?!! I would like to write what I'd like to see happen but dang, the show is just flopping around so much at the moment, I can't even order anything in my head to make a story!! 

One funny thing: When Chase went to the PCPD to tell Joe about the accident I didn't even remember he was on the show!! Geesh!! It took me 2 seconds-- and then I was like: OMG he's living with Lucas!

Remembrance

 

I was going to just do a typical filler today until I realized it was the 11th. I just want to say a few things --and I know you're surrounded by memories but this has to do with the soap community. In 2001 the internet was just blooming. I was on the AOL soap boards at the time and we posted daily about life and our show, GH. I was also on Soap Zone. That day, numb and scared, I logged in and found people to talk and grieve with. I was home alone and didn't quite know what to do. People who I had never met in person were there to just BE with and process things. That bond has lasted for a long long time. 

If you ever get the chance to go to the memorial in NYC, it's well worth your time. The underground is harrowing but captures the tone and tenor of that day while honoring those that were in the towers and also the heroic first responders. We have also been to Shanksville PA at the site of flight 93. Also worth the time and drive.

HELLOOO it's Thursday! I will be out tomorrow-- so enjoy my thoughts today!! 

TODAY'S SHOW: 

Dante goes to Anna's. She gives him her gun/badge. "I'm not fit to serve" . Tells Dante she wasn't well when she came back. Has to do the work to regain her sanity. She says she wants him to be acting commish. He says ok. Then Anna also tells him he might hear from Britt and to do his duty. 

At GH, Emma tells Felicia about Anna and she needs a really good therapist. She tells her what happens. Why? I don't even know.

Britt tells Lucas about her night. Britt tells him. Says Jason stopped her. THEN EMMA goes to talk to Britt and Britt's like: Anna's a LUNATIC, LOCK HER UP! Emma pleads with her.  Britt is like NO WAY. Emma brings up all of Britt's sins and says: LOOK AT YOU! Felicia steps in and reminds Britt she got another chance. 

Emma and Felicia talk and Anna steps out of the elevator. She's going to have a consult with her therapist. Emma hugs her. Anna goes in to wait for the doctor. Felicia comes in. Anna fills her in on getting out of the France place and that she used Felicia. Felicia understands. 

Britt crabs to Lucas--NO ONE CARES. Lucas says she makes it hard for people to care.  They have a decent talk about her having some empathy. 

Chase tells Joe at the PCPD about Brook being the culprit in the accident. Says she also covered it all up AND went to great lengths to make it look like someone else did it. Dante comes in and tells them that Anna's on leave. Then he corners Chase to talk about Brook. Chase is staying at The Metro. 

Tracey hired Diane to represent Brook Lyn but she can't make it so Alexis comes over instead. Oh NED AND ALEXIS :squeee: She says Brook could be charged with leaving--after hitting the guardrail which is private property. Unlikely though. Plus, the ADA is friends with Jordan. OMG is this going to linger on and on?? it's not OVER?  

WELL...ADA comes to the Q house and hears from Alexis what happened. She wants to know WHEN Brook knew the accident happened. How long? Brook tells her. The upshot is that legally she can really only get some misdemeanor for hitting the guardrail and not reporting it. BUT the other parties could view it as more. Maybe a civil suit. 

Trina is on the couch (I guess Britt left obv) and Gio comes over to check on her. She's just so mad at Brook. They aren't sure about their singing career; where to go from here.

Joss and Jason talk at the boathouse about everything. She admits Cassius didn't do what she said he did. The WSB wanted a narrative. He realized she got him out. She feels badly for blaming Cassius when he saved her life.

Weather Update: RAINING like cats and dogs here--AGAIN. We've gotten a lotta rain this summer!! Hey, our water table will be awesome, right? 

Last 2 days have been stunning--let's see what Wed brings!! 

TODAY'S SHOW: 

Anna still going to shoot Britt. She is talking to Peter in front of them. Jason's like:Um, what? Peter pops off again--then Anna says "you're just like your father" and shoots the air. "Peter" is dead. She freaks out BADLY. Jason tells Britt to run. He talks to Anna. She tells him about seeing Peter. She thinks he'll always be there like an echo. They end up walking away.

Joss and Hudson are talking in her apartment. He says she needs to move to Australia. She says no. She likes PC. He says you just want to be in the WSB. Then Britt comes to the door. He leaves. Britt needs to have Joss call Brennan. Joss is like: WHY? She tried to kill me! Then she says Jason was there. Tells Joss the story.

Portia and Isaiah hear that it was Brook Lyn that didn't stop for the accident. Trina and Kai are in Portia's office. Portia can't even BEEE_LEEEVE IT. Isaiah says Brook owes him an apology.

Trina tells Kai she might want to fire Brook as her producer.

Gio's all pouty because his Mama LIED AGAIN. Emma's like: DUDE, calm it down. Gio continues to cry/pout but he sees Emma's point about still loving your family when it's hard.

Nedly is hugging Brook and telling her it will be ok. Brook doesn't think so. He tells her about the time he covered for AJ drinking/driving to protect Monica. Good scene. Also that he doesn't hold out hope for Chase and her making it. Lois left when she realized how the Qs operated. Gio walks in. Ned leaves. Brook tells him she absolutely didn't know they had gone off the road. He's not so sure he believes her.

Chase shows up at Willow's. His world fell apart and he has "no where else to go" :eyeroll: Willow asks what's up. He says it was Brook driving the car that night and then framed Willow out of jealousy. He says he has to leave. AHAHAHA Okay, will you really go? 

Jason takes Anna to her apartment. Emma's concerned. Jason is going to come back and stay the night.

It's been a BEAUTY DAY here-- just gorgeous. I hope this is what fall will be like. David makes fun of me telling you about the weather but that's because he's jealous. Where he lives, it's hot. HOT. and MORE HOT. 

TODAY'S SHOW: 

WHOPPER START!! 

Drew thinks Scout is at Sonny's and barges in. Alexis is like you can shoot him--then says: KIDDING ahahhaa.  They find Scout's phone on the couch. Drew tell Alexis she is in BIG TROUBLE for not following the restraining order. Alexis calls him a jackass and he leaves but they are going to REGRET THIS!! He leaves. Sexis decide to team up against DREW! WHOO HOO. Well, Alexis says that she's going to lie to Drew about seeing Scout. Sonny says he'll back her up.

Scout and Rocco kiss at the dock. They like each other awww... BUT WHERE'S OUTBACK? Outback comes back. Then Sonny calls and tells Rocco if he knows where Scout is, tell her to get home asap.  

Ava goes to Drew's and says don't call the sheriff...!! They'll look around the Q estate and find Jack!! She asks if he called her friends. He says he doesn't KNOW her friends. LOL Scout comes in and Drew hugs him. Says she was with friends. He asks her about the phone being at Sonny's. She says yes, she was giving Donna a hoodie. He says I don't believe you. Were you with Danny? He asks She says YES! I guess to spare Rocco?

Isaiah tells Ava if she doesn't pinpoint the tick location now, the county will come knockin' lol. She says: Oh yeah, I did pet a dog today outside the Art Gallery! 

Trina confronts Brook about the accident. She confesses. Chase thinks she's covering. Nope she says it was her and describes the accident. Jordan is pissed. Trina goes off--My FATHER is in jail because he thought it was Isaiah. She keeps yelling. Tracey tries to defend Brook but Trina won't have it. NED WALKS IN! MY NEDLY! He's like: WTH is going on!!? Trina leaves. Chase says it's all his fault that he figured it out and assumed Brook was covering for someone because she would never LIE TO HIM! 
He runs out, Brook follows. She tries to explain about the wine and he's not having it. He Can't even LOOK AT HER! Storms out. Brook goes to the stairs and rocks and sobs. 

Tracey tries to get things under control in the living room. Jordan leaves. Gio has questions. Gio cry-yells about things. :Eyeroll: He wonders if that's why Brook did the showcase for Trina. Ned says no, she knows real talent when she sees it. 

Michael and Jordan talk at the boathouse. She whines about her face. THEN she wonders when Michael knew everything. 

Anna tells Britt it's personal and she's ending this NOW. (points a gun at her) ...talks about Faison. Britt says: Um, he's dead, you know that right? then Petah comes out of the dark. "DO IT NOW".  She tells Britt that she's the "last Faison Standing" and has to die. JASON COMES OUT OF THE WOODS! She's like "oh I wish you hadn't have come" . Jason says he doesn't have a gun. Wonders what's happening. Britt says she tricked the people at the institution and isn't well. She thinks my father is alive. Then Anna's like: Faison might be dead but he's alive through his CHILDREN and she has to die. Jason says What about Maxie's kids? James? Bailey LU?? you going to kill them too. He says Faison would win if she did--she'd go away from her family forever.

More Cast Additions --Labor Day

TODAY'S SHOW IS A REPEAT OF A TRIBUTE TO TONY GEARY. We have prepared for you the latest cast addition list for this fall. Frank and Co decided there just wasn't enough newbies to fill out the roster!! 

Deception launches a new line of cosmetics called Allure. Nia Baker (character name) will be the new face of Allure. She comes to town as a relative unknown, but her past is following her.

Dirk, a drifter, finds his way to the Q stables and Cody hires him as a handyman. At first, Cody thinks he looks familiar to him. Hmmm.. does he?

Josh is the newest bartender at Charlie's Pub. He looks like every other male actor recently hired in the cast.

Outback gets a dog walker.  Her name is Rayne from NYC, forced to flee to Port Charles to live with her Aunt Amy.

Julius, a suave and debonair swindler will romance three ladies (Tracy, Nina, Ava) at the same time and fall in love with their pocketbooks.

Jose and Beth are self-proclaimed swingers who become friends with Ned and Olivia. They convince them to have a party at the Q mansion, with Ned and Olivia oblivious to what is really going on. (Hilarity ensues)

Isaiah's little sister Cami comes to town to shake up the teen set.

Mystery serial killer is on the loose, killing all the newbies that have appeared since Spring 2026. New or existing character? Male or female? Have to wait to find out.

Sunday Surgery: Tick-Tock

 

I mean, nothing screams burying bodies in a wooded area like picking a tick off your friend's head in The Metro Court Dining room, right?  Will Ava get on some Doxycycline and will it be used in court to show her guilt? What about Drew? Does he have any? My concern is of course, for Outback. Hopefully no ticks on her!!

GH BBQ Interruptus Today

 

FRIDAY!! This week has been such a clunker so far. Even with Jack drowning, it has just NOT held my interest. 

TODAY'S SHOW:  (interrupted at 2:20 with the trial stuff)... so it will be choppy

Alexis and Sonny work on dissolving his partnership with Jason. He signs papers. Rocco comes over to get the pasta Sonny made for the party at the Q's. Scout is with him. School starts Tuesday. Alexis says please keep an eye on Scout for her. 

The Q's Labor Day BBQ:

Chase and Emma are chopping limes. WHY? So Emma can drop in that Brook wasn't at Trina's first gig at Charley's that night. OMG. Chases' one brain cell is turning.

Brook wants Gio and Trina to sing for the party. They agree. Jordan and Michael come in. Tracey pulls Jordan aside and tells her to keep an eye on Drew because he'll stab Michael in the back first chance he gets. Lucy walks in. Tracey says hi, Chase takes her to the kitchen. Asks her if she got the shares of Deception from Brook because she lied to the PCPD. 

Drew and Martin talk and Drew says Brennan won't be a problem anymore. Says he decided to not 'poke the bear' and let it stay buried. He tracks Scout to the Q's party. No, sorry to Sonny's house. I guess she left her phone there? 

Isaiah gets the tick out of Ava's neck. Where did you get THIS? he asks. OMG it was a Lone Star TICK!! He has to report it ! ahahahaha. Ava's taking antibiotics to make sure she doesn't get ill. 

At GH, Britt tells Tristan Stella gave her last part of the day off to go to the BBQ. She's going with Jason. Tristan talks to her about being Faison's daughter and leaving her past behind. Dull convo.

Anna's at the shooting range flashbacking to her captivity. Jason walks in. Anna says you never know when someone is going to pop out of your past and ambush you so she has to practice. 

AFTER THE INTERRUPTION: 

Chase figured out Brook drove the car that night of the accident and passed them on Rt 91.  He wonders if someone borrowed the car that night and she didn't tell him. She says she'll talk about it later. TRINA HEARD ALL OF IT! 

Scout and Rocco dive into LAKE ONTARIO to swim and Outback runs into the bushes. 

Anna tells Britt to come to Mt. Something and meet her. Tristan overhears the convo. Then Jason comes in to pick Britt up and Tristan tells him. 

Anna puts a kill tarp down on the ground while Britt drives there. Britt ignores Jason's phone call.

This year will not have any speech pathology tasks (that I know of) but I'm transitioning too social media/marketing for a local food bank. Ergo, SOMETIMES I will have meetings here and there. Today is one of those days. I should be back for most of GH -- so I'll see you when I see you.

ADA and Sonny meet in the love shack. Sonny gives her  cornhole trophy. She left without it from the BBQ. They talk about their relationship and Donna. Sonny says now that he's a legit guy, they can be 'in the open'. He suggests a vacation together.

Chase asks Joe about the car accident. They both have questions. They go over all the information on that damn accident. 

Valentin and Charlotte go to Carly's for breakfast. Carly tells Char that Donna wants to talk to her upstairs about school clothes. She leaves. Carly tells Val that Jack is missing. Charlotte listens in. She hears about Joss calling WSB. Leaves. Then Valentin tells Carly Jack could have set it all up to point the fingers at them.

Jason tells Valentin about Danny and Char. Val says thank you. Carly's like SIX MONTHS of no driving??? Jason's like YEP.  Val hopes Jason doesn't bar Danny from seeing Charlotte because they are good friends. Jason says he won't.

Danny tells Jason about the truck. Jason gives a Dad lecture. Gives him safety lecture. Can't drive ANY vehicle for 6 months and has to pay off damages. BRO! Danny's upset! SIX MONTHS? HAHHAA

Charlotte leaves to go find Danny. He tells her he told Jason about the Truck. She said no biggie and she was happy to go with him. 

Ava and Drew meet in public AGAIN at the METRO--AGAIN to talk about Jack's death. Right there. In the open. Nina rushes in. Asks Ava what Drew has on her. Drew gets bitchy with Nina. Leaves. Nina can't understand why Ava is with him. Ava says she has no reason to hate him. She says they have a common goal. OMG Ava's scratching her head..has Nina look at it. SHE HAS A TICK. 

Joss meets Agt. Baines that is in to find Brennan. Tells her to keep her nose out of it. She balks. He's like TOO BAD go do your assignment. They want info on all sub companies within JJE. He asks her about Brennan's disappearance and if she found anything out. She says no but could be foul play. Then they sit and talk a bit. He says asks no questions about Jack because she's suppose to not be in the WSB. Then he says be prepared that Jack ran--he botched his last assignment. Baines says HE WILL FIND HIM NO MATTER WHAT. 

Drew breaks into Nina's car. In a flashback we see him take Brennan's wallet when Ava is going back to look for a shoe in the trunk. He's going to plant the wallet in Nina's car.

Greetings on a STORMY WED here !! WHY the hell did they kill off Jack when I was finally getting to like him?? He 'fit' with Nina and the WSB story expanded. It figures. 

Ok, WHATTHEFKEVER ---let me just sit this one out. GH has no direction and obviously is just trolling us now. ANOTHER NEWBIE.  NOTE: he's on tomorrow as a WSB guy there to look into Jack's disappearance. 

TODAY'S SHOW: 

Lucas and Britt are having drinks at the bar because Ava skipped out on him. He talks about his new apartment. He has a mustache. Britt tells him she doesn't like Joe. They banter and she calls him a squatter. Yada yada, Jason talk. 

Val and Anna are at the shooting range. She's a better shot than him. They talk about how Faison got into her head and she blames Cassius and Britt. Val says, NO the villain here is Cullum and he's dead. Then Anna wants to shoot alone. She tells him she'll get an Uber home. 

Gio and Trina taking a break. Joss can't get ahold of Brennan and they have a meeting later. She's concerned. She runs out. Now Hudson is concerned. He goes over to Brook to ask about Phoebe. She's too happy to talk to him about her. 

Jason and Carly searching Jack's room. He realizes someone was already there. Then Joss comes in. They are all thinking Jack was a target. Joss mentions their meeting. Carly's like THOUGHT YOU QUIT! Joss is like: Ermmwell I uh... Then they figure out Jack is really missing. Carly wonders if Joss is going to call it in. 

Char says her bracelet was lost at the Metro Court pool. Danny says they find stuff at the bottom of the pool all the time. She says it has a C on it. Then Chase comes in and says "AH HA! The suspects"

They show OUTBACK--meaning he'll find the body.  Chase is watching him while Cody is gone with Molly. He figured out the kids took his truck. Danny fesses up. Chase is pissed. Danny just wanted to impress Charlotte, he didn't think it would be a big deal. Chase gets angry, Outback runs off and Char goes after her. Chase tells Danny he's going to tell his father.

Ava and Drew bury Brennan on old Quartermain property. It was deeded by Monica to the city and is protected. Ava thinks people will see a freshly dug grave. Drew's like: NAH No one comes out here. The put him in the hole. Have a moment of silence. Then they hear Outback bark and they run. The grave is covered.
