Ingo joined GH in 1995 as Jasper Jacks, the playboy corporate raider. Unfortunatel,y his character has become little more than fodder for Carly's custodial rights fights lately. There has been speculation of this for months now, and here it is. Read his statement on Soaps in Depth.
Ingo was gracious enough to give me one of my first interviews when I was just starting out for Gedstern and I'll be forever grateful for that. I wish him luck in the future.

ReplyDeletethis is terrible. first rebecca herbst, then tyler christopher and now ingo rademacher. all that will be left is sonny, carly, jason and a bunch of newbies that no one cares about. couldn't GH come up with a better ending than writing all the vets off? too sad.
ReplyDeleteYour first interview, and Lori and my first soap star we ever saw at Super Soap Weekend way back when...I almost died on the spot...so gorgeous, so gracious...such a lovely man. Wish the new head writer had been given the chance to work with his character and redeem it for us to enjoy again.

ReplyDeleteThey are very foolish! He could have had a storyline with Liz, NLG. There is so much potential and so much more that they could have done. People writing FANFIC are writing better stories. Imagine they are bringing on 3 new characters but will fire this great actor.
ReplyDeleteI think its clear that he and VM are written off the show together in their storyline. They should have just written VM out. Jax could have been given a new life with Liz.
This show is clearly going off the air. I have nooo doubt Ingo will be seen in primetime. He's to talented and handsome not to.
The ratings for Gh will drop even lower as they continue to push the sonny/carly/jason show.
I thought I was going to have to pick mom up off the ground in the middle of Super Soap Weekend :D Then I thought I'd have to drag her away so we could see other soap stars that day! She's right about Ingo though, he was as kind and gracious as he was handsome at every single SSW that we saw him.

ReplyDeleteI adore Ingo, and I enjoyed Carjax. He's the only one that made me tolerate Carly. Unfortunately there was no room in the carly/jasam/sonny world. GH's loss. What a bunch of assholes.

ReplyDeleteLove Ingo & Love Jax. No room for nice guys. I would be fine with him leaving with VM only if Alec is his son. Otherwise like Rhonda said it's too hard ot believe he would leave wihtout his child & never see her. I loathe Carly!
GH is going to be at the bottom of the ratings. Newest ratings show they are 5th. Ingo leaving, is assuring more mob, so they will sink even faster.

I was officially done with the show when they had Jax's character sexually assaulted and his so called poor excuse for a wife and her wish she could have sex with him all he has to do is ask were laughing about it. ReplyDeleteIngo has been my favorite for years. He did the impossible for me - he made me like Carly. Worst decision ever, but I saw the writing on the wall for him when I first heard VM wasn't sticking around. I'm afraid my GH days may be numbered.....

ReplyDeleteBefore leaving town, Jax should have Jerry kidnap Joss, but make it look like it was done by one of Sonny's enemies. He can do his "I told you so" to all of them, then he, Brenda, & Alec fly off to be with Joss, happy together. I mean, in what other universe would someone who wants to keep his daughter away from violence be considered a villian while the parent who puts violence before her kids' needs be considered the hero?

ReplyDeleteI think that TPTB are trying to get us to really hate GH so we won't be all that upset when it disappears. I've really been enjoying more of Jax lately, and this is a damn shame.
ReplyDeleteAlways been a fan of Ingo & the character. I really enjoyed him with LW's Carly, too. This is so far off from the show I once loved and used to schedule my classes around in college. Makes me very sad.

ReplyDeleteI think he is a great actor. I do not like the way they have changed his roll at all. We watched Jax for the romance, the mystry, the chemitry between him and his leading ladies. We want THAT Jasper Jacks back!! And why OH WHY, do we have to have so damn much mob story line? We want the HOSPITAL back in GH!!
