Appears to be coming back to GH-- Jamey on DC's podcast dropped a hint that someone was coming back and it would really rock soap twitter. It's going to be announced next week. Everyone was speculating and then tonight, Michael Logan of TV Guide tweeted: if no one else will spill, I will: It's Steve Burton.
So, question is-- is he coming back to GH (most probable) or YR? IF he comes to GH will he just replace Miller OR will they do a Double-Todd OLTL redux ??? Helena could have brainwashed "Jason #2" into thinking he's really Jason and implanted the memories.
Can you imagine? Scout would be NuJason's-- and..Oh boy, what a MESS!!!
This is NOT confirmed but it looks real--when I find out the details, I'll get in here and let you know...
In the meantime, speculate away. It's about all we have right now since the show is so Boring!

I LOVE SB, I met him twice, first on the set of GH, and then at a comedy club GH show where my friend got me backstage to see him and MB. He was sooo sweet, and such a gentleman!! I would LOVE to see him back on GH, but I thought that the actor had moved away with his family, anyone know anything else? Guess we'll find out soon enough . . .
ReplyDeleteI predicted he would leave GH because he was truly unhappy with storyline and I knew he would come back. Don't like him with Sam , so I think nothing changes. Jason is terrible.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't matter if it's Miller or Burton in the role...until the writers get the character out of the RUT he has been in for years, he will still be boring and predictable and Sonny's bromancer.
ReplyDeleteWhen Miller came to the role, they could have reinvigorated the character by making him leave behind the hitman crap and moving him to ELQ and a ruthless businessman. Miller did well in that role on Y&R and would have given his own spin to Jason in that way,

DeleteWriting may be on the wall for Miller,as he keeps audtioning for Primetime roles. That being said, it would be cool if they had him play a new character,similar to Sarah Brown as Claudia.

ReplyDeleteUntil there is a solid confirmation, then I'll believe it. Seeing as he only joined Y&R due to JFP being in charge, and got out of there as fast as he could, after she got fired. Plus there's him not liking FV. And also actually fully commit to family things in TN. From everything I've read/heard seen, after he left GH, he had no intention of doing any other soap again, but JFP talked him into doing Y&R.

It would be the MOST fun if he just one day showed up and played--Jason lol but, I think they'll probably go with the switcheroo where BM's Jason isn't Jason, he's programmed-- and Jason will be Jason.

Remember the Bobby in the shower scene/dream....just picture it.
DeleteThat must be what Sam's condition is all about. Let's see: Sam says her family isn't safe and Jason isn't safe. That sounds like they want to possibly turn BM into a bad dude. Sounds like a horrible story line. Good thing I don't do the writing for the show!

DeleteThe only one I want to see come back is Tyler C. That would resolve a lot of things. Jason is/was never a favorite of mine. I remember when SB did scenes with Kelly and always wiped his mouth off after he kissed her, LOL.

So, Liz, loses another sibling and we still do not get her parents onscreen - less Webbers. Then, if Burton comes back to GH, we get ANOTHER character in the Sonny/Carly universe.

Writers get credit for new characters, not recasts. And they seem to want the GH actors gone and the OLTL characters in their place.
I hope he returns to GH and not Y&R! SB is much better as a bad boy than a good guy! That - plus, Sonny & Jason are EVERYTHING!!! Welcome home Stevie B!

** LOL I'm DEFINITELY in agreement about getting TC back. One of my big issues with SB was that as time went on, everything performance-wise just came across (and felt) like he was just doing the same thing over and over. Even his time on Y&R, his performance still just came across a LOT like Jason, but with SOME emotion. (Just not very much.) Considering what he's been given to work with, I think BM has done a good job. And more importantly he's brought a "spark" of life into the character. Which had been VERY badly needed.

She was let go. They informed her about a month ago.

** Yep, same here! Having given my reasons as to why I just can't see it happening (ESPECIALLY with a contract). I could MAYBE see him doing a couple of "new flashback" scenes, at the most. And even just that much I think the odds of happening are really really low.
