Sunday Surgery: The Happy Hooker

Interesting week. No interruptions!! I think next week we will get one due to the Jan 6th committee so let's enjoy this. While a lot happened, I still felt the show was splintered into many different parts that didn't really fit together. Most of the happenings raised more questions than not. Such is the life of a soap watcher!

Let's get into it! It's NATIONAL LOBSTER DAY so Albert and I say, dig in!!

Reminder: This was September  8th!!

Current stories going:

Poison Hook Killer

Elizabeth Memories (this has been a year in the making btw)

Carly in Florida

Cody is Mac's Son

Cody and Wu Gambling

Brook Lynn and Chases' Singing

Curtis is Trina's Father

Curtis and Jordan not divorced

Willow has cancer and is pregnant

Sasha Drug use/Deception

Victor/Valentin/Anna/Charlotte Lucy

Michael/Dex getting one over on Sonny

Spencer in Jail/Sprina

Joss and Cam and maybe Dex

Dante and Sam? Are they a story?

Drew? And..does he have a story? Oh I guess Carly

That's just to get me started because there is a lot of ground to cover and I don't want to be here all day do you?  My point is...goodness but there is a LOT to keep track of on this show and a LOT that happens then doesn't happen.  Gaps in the whole fabric!!

SEIZURE OF THE WEEK:   Welp. Brando is gone. He had a full on seizure right after Sasha was all happy and kissing him. It ended up that the hook had poison on it and took it's course. Finn recognizes the toxin as some reptile venom.  He knows because he was on a tropical island and his doctor coworker got bit and died. Ok, who's running around with a poison snake? (Last I saw that was Violet! LOL)

FAKE OUT OF THE WEEK:  Totally looked like Anna was going to get hooked when it turned out to be Jordan playing with a damn replica at the docks! Who does that? Well, the chief of police that's who!

BONES OF THE WEEK:   I could write an entire blog on whatever the hell this all is!! COME ON!! ANOTHER CARLY BACKSTORY? That poor security guard was just trying to do his job and she's so mouthy. Come to find out they are moving the graveyard and shock horror--Carly's SO UPSET about her adoptive mother being moved she's staying there! Yep.  She has to fight Southern Georgia Linda Purl and the town counsel for the entire thing!! Can't WAIT! Wow!! Unless this has something to do with-- I don't know, Nelle being alive, I'm going to FF.  PS. Did you see the edit where Carly teleported (literally--like LITERA-LEEE) into the restaurant? I was convinced it was a dream at that point but nope. LOL  Um.. someone was trying to be all fancy.

SKETCH OF THE WEEK:  In some weird time-warp trap, Elizabeth ends up sketching Finn's dead wife Reiko as the woman that is at the bottom of the stairs. She looks at old photos and she and Sarah were on the same island as Finn was back in the 90's. Is FINN the guy that pushed Reiko? Is he behind all of these happenings?  Did Jeff do it? Was Reiko dead THEN and not from "Blackfoot Disease" like Finn' s been saying? Weird. Weird WEIRD WEIRD. It's obvious Peter's fall triggered Liz. We know Finn did it-- is that why she started to remember/ SO MANY QUESTIONS!
Here I was hoping Elizabeth's story was all about her. Oh how stupid I am.

SNEEZE OF THE WEEK:  Val could hardly contain himself!! In a bit of Old School GH comedy, Anna and he board the Haunted Star to "rescue"  Lucy who's with Victor. She doesn't even want to be rescued. Plus, she got a diamond bracelet out of the dal so she's happy as a clam!!

LUNCH OF THE WEEK:  Like I said, Victor is loving Lucy playing along with his little game and she came thisclose to finding out what his big "mission" might be. I'm looking forward to more of this story for sure!

SEXIS OF THE WEEK:  Oh, how do I love thee? First, Krissy and her Uncle Victor. That's right--she's a CASSADINE! Let's not forget that. Two--the look on Sonny and Alexis' faces? Priceless!! Three? Alexis and Kristina arguing over her "dead end job" and Sonny just looking like the baffled Dad saying "She's all you". This was such a fun scene and I do really like Maurice and Nancy together. Adding Lexi is just icing on the cake!

NOT GUILTY OF THE WEEK:  There is no way this guy is guilty of being The Hook. IF HE IS, it's way too obvious. He's angry that Brando woke up and he's left alone with Diane at the garage right before she gets it.  Dex has been at every location of the murders!! Unless the twist is that it's so obvious you wouldn't think it was him because...you know, it's so obvious. LOL

WU OF THE WEEK: Oh, Selina TOLD Curtis he was going to listen to Chase! That's how you do it!!  While I'd love for her to have her own Club, her playing cat and mouse with Curtis is delicious.

JINGLE OF THE WEEK: Also going along with the DEX theory is that Brando told Jordan he heard "Jangling" before he was struck. (In the poring rain? Ok...) and who has on DOG TAGS? WELP--it's good ol' DEX!

EFFECT OF THE WEEK:  FOG! They got that machine out and just used it up!  Florida graveyard, the docks, the Haunted Star--you name it, there was FOG!! I think it's the same machine as the steam-room uses!

WUB IT OF THE WEEK: N'neka and Mr Lee (Wu's guard) enjoy Chases' music at The Savoy.  I love the extras being around! I'm still hoping N'neka is a WSB plant that's trying to find out more about the West Coast Mob and Selina Wu!

WEEK IN A WUBSHELL:

Brando dies, everyone is sad

Poison was found to be on the hook used to kill him

Jordan and Curtis and Portia discuss the fact there's no divorce papers

Sexis doesn't like Victor getting close to Kristina

Lucy tries to pull the wool over Victor's eyes

Anna and Valentin sneak on the Haunted Star

Maxie dresses for kid's soccer mom try-outs

Jordan parades around holding a hook, faking out the audience

Carly finds out her mother will be moved from her resting place

Linda Purl delights that Carly's mother will be moved from her resting place

Drew is to stupid to call the event center to find Carly until Sonny tells him to.

Chase tries out for singer position at The Savoy on Ms. Wu's insistence

LEAKED PHOTO ALERT: Spoiler for Monday ... Diane is taken away on a stretcher --ALSO Jan 6th Hearings will take place SEPT 28TH during GH so it will be pre-empted.

Vanna Sex Scenes Comin' Next Week!

SO, big question is: Will Diane live or die? We don't know yet because GH was tricky in that they didn't announce Johnny Wactor leaving, so we are left to wonder. That's the way I LIKE IT!! She seems still alive here but we have the poison. Will Finn save her in time because he knows the antidote? Hmmmmm... Diane is a well loved B-Character and she's not taking up a lot of money so..I'm thinking she lives.

I can't for the life of me figure out why they are doing this Florida story unless Laura Wright took such a long vacation they decided to tape a bunch of stuff and insert it here and there. God forbid "Carly" is off canvas for as long as say, "Laura" is. Carly could have just gone to that seminar for a week and be off the show.

I'll see you this week!! Again, Wednesday seems to be an interruption day -- which will mess up our Friday cliffhangers unless they factored that all in??

Have a Happy Lobster Day!!

  1. Thanks for another great SS. The power is finally back on this morning and I'm having my hot coffee while reading. And yes. I had iced coffee made and in the fridge ready to go when the power went out Friday because when they say everything should be fully charged during a storm I assume they mean me too. :)

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that teleport with Carly. I mentioned it at the time but no one commented on it. I sometimes feel like the square with the rock in hop scotch when it comes to comments. lol But that one was almost accompanied by a flash as she literally walked between the two sets.

I thought Jordan said there was no poison on the hook which is why I immediately went to the exotic disease specialist as a suspect when Brandon suddeny took a turn for the worse. I thought he poisoned him in his room though. And the clues just kept coming and coming. I'll admit I'll be happy if it's him because I don't like the fact that Liz is now trapped in scenes with him all the time. Why do they keep passing her around like the last bottle at a party? She does not need to be ancored by anyone. She's a fantastic actress.

I hope you're right about Diane. Love the actress and her being attacked will really stir up some sh** in Sonny's world too.

Loved our Old School GH comedy moment. I was sitting alone laughing out loud like a fool. lol More please!

Thanks agin for hanging in there with us.

  2. Another great SS! Thank you. And thanks for listing all of the stories bubbling around GH just waiting to be told someday. Or not. You should submit the list to GH as they may have forgotten about some of this.
Best scene of the week is Anna quelling Val's sneeze.
It is fun to guess who is the hookster but we all know they can make it be anyone. We can speculate and be right or wrong. Or make up stuff. My new theory is that it's Holly. Programmed and being given orders to hook.
    Happy lobster day!

  4. I used to think Esme BUT I am sticking (for now) my theory that someone hates Dex and is setting him up......cause I think it is someone we don't know yet??/
Holly wouldn't kill people plus I think Robert and Anna go somewhere and find her.
SO at NO TIME Finn wouldn't have thought Jeff WEBBER and LIZ WEBBER?? Come on----drunk writers - make it work make it work make it work...
I wonder if Britt gets attacked and she leaves for rehab or something...
    Missing Phyllis...
This week was so bizarre I can't even comment on the Finn/Liz fiasco....
