Kimberly McCullough is heading back to GH for another stint as Robin Scorpio. "Kimberly is part of our GH family and everyone is happy to welcome her home," Executive Producer Frank Valentinisaid in a statement. "There is some really cool stuff planned for Robin. It’s a race against time and a trio is formed in a desperate attempt to help save a life that hangs in the balance, but that’s all you’re going to get out of me.
Always a KM fan here, even when her storyline has been weak or Robin has done some annoying things. She grew up on the show and is a tangible connection to the 80's Golden Age and her chemistry with Finola (and Tristan for that matter too) is off the charts. Maybe she helps with the Jason reveal and then helps usher JT out the door? God knows he's way too talented an actor to be wasted on GH like has has been in the last year or so.

If they are bringing her back, just do it and wrap up her time in Port Charles. I have always loved the Robin character, but I think its time for her to go. Or recast but somehow that probably would not work :)
ReplyDeleteThe character of Robin is kind of like your favorite niece who grew up to be a pain in the neck. KM is not to blame for how Robin has been written. It is very sad to see a character who overcame so much, and accomplished so much, be reduced to some kind of dues ex machine used to drop in on the scene and ruin things for people she "loves."
ReplyDeleteAnd because they have reduced her character to a device, my opinion of her return is "so what, who cares?" It's a shame.

ReplyDeleteI for one can't stand the back and forth. I absolutely hated it when Tony Geary did it, and I hate it now that Kim is allowed to do it. Either kill off the character or recast. It's not fair to the other actors, storyline purposes or fans. JT's talents have been for the most part wasted since she was allowed to have an open door policy with GH.
ReplyDeleteIf GH is dumb enough to let Jason Thompson get away and are bringing her back to usher them off into the sunset, they're idiots. GH needs JT desperately at this point and they also need a Robin. A long-term Robin who works at the hospital and who will mix things up with the Sam, Patrick, Jake/Jason, Liz mess.
