Say today's title backwards and .... you have... the longest reveal in the history of reveals. Well, not exactly because there have been others that have taken years but this sure seems like decades!
ANOTHER week I didn't watch all the shows. So, sit tight and let's see what I come up with!!

STORIES:
THE ESPLANADE: Welp. I guess it's supposed to be intriguing...??? Mayor/Mobster/Family... I just really don't care. Felicia talking to Carly--Rocco talking to Dante--Jordan quitting yada yada. Mr. Bully Boyle, Congressman Droopy Drew and all the rest. There's NO THERE THERE. I'm tired of Sonny saying he's not going to stand for whatever thing he's not standing for. *sigh*
MIAMI MARCO SIDWELL: So, my take is this: Thank You because he's giving Van Hansis more airtime. I am also intrigued that Sidwell could be a Casssadine. The Law Offices of Miller and Davis is a nice touch. But..soapy? Hmmmmm...
CHEM TEST: The Cody and Molly alchemy is going strong. I thought I was watching Sasha and Cody with the horse stuff. My only comment is: We got a new horse! HADES!! :Clapping:
GIO DNA-O: You all know how I feel about this. It's been too long, too boring and the camping story? Dragged until I can't even stand it. Lulu's part is shrill. Gio's whole deal should have been exposed by now, period.
THE NEVER ENDING BABY: Oooooooffff. I'm... well, either adopt a kid or don't. Thanks. HEY! I know, adopt Ace because...let's face it, no one is watching that boy. Also, when Chase said "ANY age is fine" do you think they'll be all happy to 'raise' GIO? Cause, sir--he's grown!
LIZ: Amy is only on because the Nurses Ball is coming up. Having Elizabeth sitting on the couch is a choice and it gives Lucky limited screen time in one to two places so win-win for GH I guess.
FROM ONE Q TO ANOTHER: So, wait. Sasha didn't want to have Michael as the baby daddy because he's a Q and tied to Sonny but...IS PRETENDING JASON (A Q AND A HITMAN) IS??? I.. what!!? When Michael gets home (and they keep mentioning it so it might happen) he's going to have to pretend his kid is Jason's kid...and stay 'out' of it's life because Sasha wants to raise it alone? Lord help me because I'm going to need a Tylenol for all this!
SHE'S HIS EX-WIFE!!! Did you know this?? By Friday everyone and their brother knew it. Then, Sidwell got Nat to basically give Sonny up with one "I'll help you out with the kid" line. AHAHAHA
AND (DRUMROLL PLEASE) THE BIGGEST STORY OF THE WEEK: ROCCO'S DEBATE!
I don't know about you but going to a debate is kinda the last thing people get psyched for. BUT! In Port Charles everyone in Rocco's life are going! I expect Yuri to show up!! Sonny can't go?? Awww....why? Because the MAYOR will be there and--what? The TV stations cover the event? People will stop and gasp if his grandparents are in the same room? Oh the hilarity and humanity of it all.
UPSIDE DOWN NEWS: WELL, Jack Wagner is going to The Bold and Beautiful. Let that sit there. We have all this WSB crap going on and... what!!? As Dave pointed out to me, what an opportunity missed. We have a ton of people but... this one? We could have used him.
Ok, I'm stopping there because if I have to talk about Joss being a spy or Felicia's hair in a bun I'm going to fall asleep. They sure don't know what to do with Anna lately, do they? TJ's still MIA and Leo was missing again. NO CAKE FOR YOU! Olivia finds an 8 year old letter from Tracey and Molly had a ginormous tear in her spare. (tire that is). I can only hope Emma is a better WSB Spy than Joss and we get some action there. Other than that...meh. Summer is looking dull.
"GH" is mostly a snooze fest lately and the bad writing is making normally good characters like Lulu, Chase and Brook Lynn unwatchable.
ReplyDeleteI wish ABC/Disney would bite the bullet and fire the executive producer and writing staff. We need a clean slate to get the bad taste out of our mouths.
The writers definitely need to ESPLAN themselves.

ReplyDeleteThis week was mostly The Sidwell Show. He is charming but we all know he won't be around forever.
The Esplanade, wherever it may land will probably be blown up anyway.
Still waiting for Diane to ask Alexis how she found out about Kristina's bad deed.
If Jordan was working undercover she would be employed by the police or the WSB or someone. She is not. No back up. She will just be working for him. What could go wrong.
It was nice to see Olivia. Where was Ned?
Sasha and Jason could not be any more awkward with each other.

I'm truly at a loss at the pace of this show. April 28 starts May sweeps and I HAVE to believe the GIO MUST finally come out......and SURELY Drew/Nina/Drew lied about Jason, etc will come out - maybe at the Nurse's Ball? OOOO Maybe Michael walks in? I dunno but it's ridiculous.
ReplyDelete----Freevee goes fast so this weekend was Oscar's death again and Nurse's Ball - I won't repeat what I say everytime but I was again reminded that Ned has nothing to do: no fights with Drew, Michael, etc. nothing....I bet he's bored....HOPEFULLY the Gio reveal will give Ned some good airtime.
----I think the next time we see Ace he will be in middle school or even junior high - he's never mentioned at all.
-----one problem with soaps - and I KNOW everyone is different, but here in the South, schools finished up by May 22 and then soaps in the summer don't even START until July and I can't remember the last good one....

DeleteThe writing, pacing, continuity and just all-around story telling is the worst I have ever seen on this (once stellar) show. I am not invested in ANY of it. Mostly because they just "drop" stories with no conclusions, so why bother:
ReplyDeleteCyrus is a seral killer gone "missing" What was his motivation? Where is he? Why is no one even looking for him or mentioning him?
Sonny shoots Jagger in the heart. Anna "vows" to bring his killer to justice! Will not rest until she finds his killer. The Alexis/Kristina gun thing was never resolved. Huh?
Austin Holt?! Why? What was his purpose? Who was he working with? Who killed him?
Absolving Heather for the "hook murders." What was the point of making her the "hooker" in the first place? And, why release her from prison so she could just vanish anyway?
Disappearing characters with no (or little) explanation: Scotty, Obrecht, TJ, Kevin, Terry, Martin.
Why did Sidwell want Alexis's fingerprints on that dagger over a month ago?
Nothing ever pays off, so who cares?
