It's HUMP DAY!! And we are 1/2 way through the week. I wonder how today will go. MEMORIAL for GREGORY DAY
Everyone goes to the park (really a park) and gathers around a bench dedicated to Gregory. Alexis, Tracey, ChaLyn, Finn, Liz Jake and Aidan. Music is playing as people get ready and gather. Violet wants to hold the urn and give it a kiss. Everyone gets all teary. Chase says some words. Finn reads a prayer. Everyone shares memories. NLG talks about ALS which is poignant because her friend has it. Tracey's was nice too because she wishes they had more time. Violet reads a poem. They scatter the ashes.
The reception is at The Metro patio. Tracey and Brook do a shot in honor of Greg. Finn and Alexis talk. Then Finn tells Liz he might be just 'pretending' to be ok. She looks concerned.
Blaze has to re-record something and she's sad over Krissy. Her mom is like: Meh that's what happens! Get in there and sing! Come to find out MOM is the one that wanted the song re-recorded. Even the tech guy liked it. Blaze is basically too sad to sing LOL. Then Mama LaRue goes off about gay love not being "real love' and other carap about her relationship with Krissy.
Kristina goes to court to wait for Molly to get done so she can talk with her. Kristina's belly is now huge. She actually mentioned the LGBTQIA Teen center. Anyway, Molly finally comes out and after some banter, Kristina mentions she knows Blaze told her about the wedding. They argue, then they make up and say they can't wait to spoil the baby.

Seriously?! Molly and TJ should always know what is going on with the baby!!! They should be at EVERY ultrasound appointment! Not having to ask anything new to report! UGH! Well I'm glad they finally talked about the elephant in the room!

Blaze and Natalia: After Blaze tells her mami that it may be over with her and Krissy,

Why did Blaze have to re-record the song? I don't get it. Even that guy in the recording place was confused. Oh look! Krissy! The look on Natalia's face! She is thinking oh crap.
The REAL park/Gregory's memorial: Boy looks like everyone has the same car! ROFL! Liz's boys don't have any dialog!!! They showed the Gregory bench and I cried. Little V kissed the urn and I cried. :( Tracy's speech was right on! So perfect! She is right!!! I love the ashes scene!! Although that's a lot of ashes damn! Poor little V! :( The actress who plays her is so good!!! She makes me want to hug little V!
Metrocourt lounge: Oh oh. Finchy drinking. What is he going to do now? Will he cheat on Liz? I saw this week's promo. What does Liz walk in on? Hmmmm? :) I wonder if Chase is going to walk up to Finchy and talk to him or walk away. Great scene with little V and Brooky!
GH has been a bit bleak this year. We've had Bobbie's funeral, Spencer's and Esme's joint funeral, and NOW Gregory's funeral. All in the span of only 6 months!
ReplyDeleteNed, Olivia, & Lois are all weirdly absent despite becoming in laws to Gregory. Jackie is also weirdly absent, despite her relationship to Gregory.
Gregory ashes get dumped next to a tree. I may never have attend a scattering of ashes, but something tells me that the GH writers haven't either. This reminds me of when Oscar's ashes were dumped on a rock.
Kristina Pregnancy progress is reminding me of how unbalanced Courtney's pregnancy with Spencer was. Courtney didn't show for the first four to five months. Then when Courtney's came back to town 3 months later, she looked 9 months pregnant!
It's surprising on how extreme they are potraying Natalie's bigotry. It's not the usual "how do you know you're gay?! " denial. She actually thinks her daughter mind hasn't mentally matured! DANG! That's a borderline Archie Bunker comment!
I find it funny that the patio used for Gregory's reception was the redecorated set for the MetroCourt pool!
EDIT: I just release it was SUPPOSED to be the MetroCourt patio! WHOOPS!

ReplyDeleteI know I'm in the minority on this blog, but I liked the Kristina/Blaze/Natalia scenes today. It made me root for the couple and get mad at Natalia, which is what they were aiming for.
When I saw Finn drinking my first thought was that it was water in the shot glass and he was just doing it to satisfy his desire. Guess I am still hoping for better days. Not much to like about this show right now.
