Sunday Surgery: Let's Go Out With a Bang...

Wubsy Reaches Her Limit

I usually take about 10-15 days off from the Blog a year and of course, because of COVID haven't done that. I'm really liking the show right now and think it's doing a great job. I just need to refresh my brain a bit before continuing.

I've decided to take a break for a bit from the show, Twitter and the blog.  This will be my 4,960st post since I started the Blogger and  as most of you know, I was running Wubs Net for about 10 years before that.

Lets just have some champagne and get to a brief recap...very brief

THE SHOW THIS WEEK:   About a month ago, William DeVry had tweeted something cryptic about Disney not liking violence and yet--Disney liking violence. I'm sure this was about his character planting a gigantic bomb in a place that's full of people. By the way--bombs like this would be the LEAST effective way of getting rid of one person, wouldn't it? Put it on his motorcycle or take him out with a bullet. But I know, I know--drama.

Who will live and who will die? I think I can best bet it's not Jason who ends up 6 feet under. Emme Rylan is due to leave the show--will Lulu go into a coma until Julie Marie Berman comes back or will she just be le mort?

Tracy will be back for Thanksgiving-- that will be something traditional. Get you pizza on! Brook Lynn will come back with her old face and a bun in the oven. Brad and Britt will hopefully buy a condo together and just have fun.  Cyrus will be a marked man and who knows where the Laura David Hamilton crime will go?

We have the Nina-Necklace Secret brewing and Drunk Alexis. Teen Scene, Taggert being alive and I'm thinking Molly and TJ's wedding?? What ever happened to that??

Thanks for reading and being here every day and week. Thanks for understanding that I need to just step away for a bit. I'll be back to hit my 5,000th post I'm sure!

As always, you can find weekly scoops at Diagnosis Daytime.   There's TV Source Magazine for content and also Daytime Confidential that has fun podcasts.

Cheers!

  2. Have a great break! In another life,I ran a large Yahoo newsgroup and a website, and I know it helps to step away now and again.

As far as Lulu is concerned, my guess is that her exit will be like Morgan's. That is, she's presumed killed in the explosion, but no actual body is recovered.

Cyrus purposely set up the explosion this way so that it wouldn't be apparent that he was responsible. That's why he didn't go along with hapless Julian's request to blow up Jason alone in a building. He also was roaming around GH at night to establish an alibi away from the scene of the crime.

  3. AlaneSue you are exactly right about Cyrus and the alibi. Didn't he run into Britt who was asking him why he was there at night?

I hope that they "fake" Lulu's death like Taggart and she goes into hiding. Poor Laura has "lost" 2 sons like this. Even though Genie is a fabulous actress with grief scenes it has been done too much.

  4. I'll miss you Karen but totally understand! Get some rest and enjoy your time away. I myself have a mini vacay coming up Sunday. It's only 2 days in addition to my 2 days off but hey I'll take it gotta get that vacay used up or I'll lose it! But I'll see you around Facebook! Look forward to your 5,000 post! 😂🤣

  5. P.S. It's sad that they have resorted to making Julian a dumb mobster now. Ever since he took that knife to Alexis throat his character has been going down, down, down. It's sad because William Devry is a good actor. Get rid of someone else.

  6. Not trying to "butter you up" Karen, but your blog is the best. I will show my age now and say that I have been watching GH for 40 years and have looked at many GH websites and magazines in those 40 years. Your blog is wonderful and I love to come on here and comment and read comments from others. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Please be safe.

    1. I've been watching myself as well for about 40-42 yrs give or take. (I'm 51). Funny the older I get the easier it is to say. 🤣

    2. I am not sure exactly how long I've been watching. I am almost 55 and yes it is easier to say these days. I guess I have been watching since I was about 12 or so. So maybe 43 years. The girl next door (my best friend at the time) got me started because her mother watched. It was at some point when Laura was dating Scotty. Maybe that is why Genie/Laura is my favorite.

  7. Here is the thing - I COMPLETELY understand Karen...….
however NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! THIS is the BEST part of my day reading your recaps, reading comments and asking questions.....does thing mean nothing will be here???? How will we know when you back? YOU are so good and talented ----- you will be missed SO MUCH!
GH IS stupid right now. Julian would have never done that bomb thing....Cyrus would already be dead right now. Alexis has the same storyline as years ago - WHY not make her angry and figure out WHY Neil died????? I don't even care about Lulu or Dante or Dustin anymore...….
SO that is why I love this blog!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  8. Have a blast, no pun intended, on your break Karen. We will miss you.
Agree with 'mufasa'...GH is stupid right now. Shortcuts are not always the answer.
I read that in November GH would change it's direction. Looks to me like they are going south.
Love this blog and all the comments. I hope you all have some fun this holiday season!

    1. K enjoy your time off will probably lower your stress level! My grandmother got me hooked when I was about 5, she faithfully watched The Guiding Light & The Edge of Night. I’ve been watching GH sine it was 30 minutes in black and white. 😷

      Do you mean this,

"Big changes are about to hit Port Charles!

According to co-headwriter Chris Van Etten, November sweeps will be so huge that by the time they’re over,"

    1. Ditto Julie H. Some action going on but they have destroyed Julian in the process. Well he has been destroyed since he took knife to Alexis throat, but he has made stupid choices since.

  13. I read this online today from Soap Opera digest.. This is much better news.

"GH sources confirm to Digest that Réal Andrews is temporarily out at GH, and the role of Taggert will briefly be played by Asante Jones starting in mid-December."

Sunday Surgery: Rude Awakening

Such a frustrating week for me!! GH can be so good, then so uneven and just plain plodding along that it baffles the mind. I felt like Thu...
