3. Adam grew a backbone and told Daddy he was living his own life
4. Drew didn't let Michael quit Aurora
5. Tracey saves the day with the ChaLyn Wedding: Coney Island rehearsal/ Port Charles wedding
6. Sonny and Ava got shot at. Probably by someone that knows the Island
7. Um... oh! Finn got off his malpractice suit. Shocked, aren't you?
I am so tired of the "presumed dead" stuff, I can't tell YOU!! We alllllllllllll know that Nicholas Chavez will finish filming, probably be back for awhile why they are in post-production then leave and to do PR and such. Recast then? Who knows. Ergo, the memorial service will move me NOT. one. BIT.
Will Esme Die-Die? Um.. all depends because they'll decide to either bring Avery back or not. I mean. Heather Webber is her mom so... you know that drill.
Speaking of drills. JASON's not dead--we know that and SBU started filming this week. Don't care. Hate that whole situation.
NOTE: Could that boat/yacht set have LOOKED any cheaper? Geesh...
One more bone to pick: YOU CAN RECAST a character from the EARLY 90's but we can't get TAGGART SCENES? You kno,w TRINA'S FATHER?? Call me crazy but someone higher up needs a slappin'.
NEWS: Adam/Joshua Benard is off the show-- until they want him back again.

Genie Francis is the Queen of the week as usual. Her acting is always superb; it was glaringly obvious in the scenes with Jon Linstrom and Maurice Benard how wonderful she is.
I am SO OVER Jason and SB. Do NOT want the "three musketeers" back on the screen (Carly, Jason, Sonny). They get too much airtime as it is.
Genie Francis is a great actor and can sell anything. Loved her scenes, but I am also over holding memorials for characters we know aren't really dead. And I absolutely hope that Avery Pohl (Esme) returns one day. They wasted a lot of opportunities with her.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you pointed out that NuJagger looks like Brennan. For the first few seconds of his appearance, I was like, "Hey, did they do another recast? How did he get out of jail?" The actor does seem compelling, though. Way more than NuDrew, Cody and Jordan, all of whom put me to sleep.
I know Karen kinda likes C&D but one of the many ways I know they aren't great head writers is when people on social media have better ideas than what appears on our screens. I came across two of those this week: 1) Esme should've been an embryo from when Kevin and Lucy were married and was stolen by Ryan, and 2) they should've paired Lois with Austin. I love both of those ideas.
I think we're going to be treading water all of February until the new head writers' work begins appearing in March.
BTW, I am super-happy that William Lipton (Cam) is coming back for a guest appearance. I love the actor and the character, and wish he would return full-time.

DeleteLipton has said in interviews going to school full time, acting for GH, and doing his passion of music was just "a lot" So he had to choose. He is focusing on his college for another year & a half and having fun with his true passion of being in a music band when not in class/studying. He seems exceptionally happy right now.
DeleteAlso, he reminds me a lot of another brilliant actor GH had that went into music full time: Jonathan Jackson.
Maybe we'll see Lipton back on a recurring basis in a year & a half when his college is over.

And not only is he a really good actor, it looks like he's a really nice guy too. (I know they're hated by many too but I want him and Liz to meet.)

ReplyDeleteThere is NO rule about recasts looking like the original. What's the difference. In this case it is welcome as Mr. Sabato is an ass. His comments are a tell. It is exactly why he was not invited back.
The not really dead stories are tired. This could have gone another way so easily.

I am looking forward to what the new writers will do. Hopefully restore some of the characters back to who they should be, or let them go.

I seem to recall reading an article last week about him being asked if jagger was coming back and he badmouthed the show and said he'd never go back to that stupid show. Now suddemy when it's recast and people are asking why he's backtracking and blaming it on being blacklisted for his politics. Sorry Antonio, you burned that bridge many years ago.

Hmmm maybe someone called her and told her that the charges were dropped.
Real is great - follow him on Instagram - he actually owns a car dealdership and works daily and has said on there he would go if GH asked him to come back.

DeleteThe Jagger recast is puzzling.. no ties any more in PC. We will see if Scottie has anything to say to him. Someone else here made an excellent point, that the actor would have been a believable Lucky recast. Many more stories there to tell vs Jagger, since Lucky was also a copy at least previously.
