Sources asked Geary about rumors that he was headed for the ol' pasture in the daytime sky he said "Hell No"!!! He's got a good gig and he knows it. Geary also said he loved the material that was upcoming in the Jake storyline as it gives a chance for he and Jonathan Jackson to "show their stuff". Geary took a short break but will be on the show through May. Then, he'll probably take us usual vacation for the summer and return in October.
I'm thinking they're gonna bring Genie back in the fall. It'll be the 30th anniversary of the wedding, ABC is gonna want the publicity for that again.

You know considering the fact Luke has TWICE referred to Lucky raising Cam and Jake as the biggest mistake in Lucky's life and he's never ever been shown interacting with either child...I really don't give a rat's patootie if this upcoming storyline gives TONY GEARY a chance to show his stuff.
ReplyDeleteI feel like it's been downhill for the character since the heart attack and Geary has been pretty much phoning it in. Him and Jane Elliot have pretty much been doing the same scene for 5+ years now.
ReplyDeleteAnd frankly, she deserves a lot better. Look at how OLTL uses veteran actresses like Robin Strasser, Erika Slezak and Kim Zimmer.
Genie said she would consider coming back if Laura wasn't portrayed as a victim. Vanessa has a two year contract so I doubt she'll be leaving in the fall unless she gets fired. I would like to see Laura come back and fight Tracy over controlling interest in Deception. Maybe then, GH will bring Serena Baldwin back from Paris and pair her up with Spinelli.
