Wubber Susanne was so kind to take Alberta with her to meet the cast of Pretty the series when they had their premiere for Season 3 at Warner Brothers last Thursday night in LA!! LOOK who she met up with!!!

Genie Francis: Will She or Won't She?

Ok, here's the latest skuttlebutt... Raven is saying that rumors abound that GH wants Genie back as Laura. 


Daytime  Confidential posted that YR is saying that Genie has a major arc coming on that show ...so doesn't look like she's leaving.

I posted that Genie is filming The Note 3 in a month for Hallmark. 

Sooooooooooooooooo, will she or won't she? We know Genie would never come back under Guza.  Maybe Wolf can write her a decent story... I'm of the mind to say she's staying with YR if they keep her on. GH's future is unknown and she seems to love it there. 

Would they ever recast Laura???? Would they DARE?? Oh, man,  I would say no...but you never know!!

Just passing on info to you...that's all. All I know is she's filming in Canada--

Genie Francis Filming The Note 3 For Hallmark.

You can't blame Genie Francis if she feels she's on familiar territory when she starts filming a Hallmark movie here next week.

It was in October of 1982, a year after her famous soap opera character, Laura Webber, tied the knot with Anthony Geary's Luke Spencer that producer Gloria Monty brought some of General Hospital's cast and crew to Victoria to film an episode.

Twenty-nine years later, the actress who made her debut as Laura will be in town to reprise her role as newspaper columnist Peyton MacGruder in The Note: The Heart Healer, the Hallmark Channel's third made-for-TV movie inspired by Angela Hunt's novel.

Genie Francis dishes her Primetime Gig AND the Jake Accident!

Wow, great interview from Terry Morrow on Knoxville.com!!! Not only does Ms. Francis talk about her upcoming role on Current TV, she dishes Y&R and GH!! Leaving nothing out, Genie really lets her feelings known about the show.

Excerpt:
For the record, Francis says she has not been approached about returning to "GH." She'd like to do it, but can't wait forever. "I just don't see that offer forthcoming," she said. And even if she were approached, she wouldn't want to return unless Laura had a better story to play. The idea of Laura and Tracy mixing it up over Luke is something Francis relishes.

Great stuff. 

Oh. My. God. GENIE FRANCIS is going to The Young and The Restless!!

Entertainment Weekly online  is reporting that Genie Francis is going to The Young and The Restless in May!! 
Francis will play the mother of Ethan Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard).I am speechless... this was the time for her to return to GH and she's going to Y&R to play the character that Tristan Rogers' plays..EX??!! WHAT!! Wow, just wow. 


Congrats to Genie, she so deserves a great part.

29 Years Ago SOAP History Was Made!!

Where were you? I was in college-- no VCRs even. Sigh..we watched in the dorm lounge!! It was a magical day...sigh. The entire cast was there, on location at the "Mayor's Mansion". 30 million watched.  IN REAL TV time!! No taping!! 

Genie cried so pretty for this ceremony. Don't laugh at the lavish dress/headpiece --everyone was doing it back then, even Princess Di!! Of course, they 'remarried' for their 25th reunion....only Luke was really married to Tracy. Now we find out that Tracy and he were never married, so I'm not sure what that means for these two. I think the writers forgot that point. Oh well. All I can say is it's too dang bad Genie hasn't been around all these years. We know she's regretted leaving, has said how much she wants to be on the show for more than "guest stints". *sigh*....

OLTL was Classic Soap Today and GH Was In Full Vegas Farce!

Sniff...Cole leaving, so sad. Even if you didn't like his character after awhile (me) it was still the end of an era. Kris Alderson even tweeted a pic of her wearing a fan fave "SOLE"  bracelet.  She also said she didn't know until that day that it would be Jason's (Markko) last day as well. *SNIFF*  The whole show was amazing. The Ford family-- and I tell you what, but James acts exactly like a real abused kid would. And Gigi- decking Audrianna. Heh. John and Natalie. AND IT'S A WED!!

GH Today was fun!! Tracy, Maya, Luke and Ethan in their Vegas sheeze. LOVED the costumes. LOL. Maya in a Tutu. Wish the whole show was on this storyline. Ethan wants to stay married for his green card.

Oyrish Lassie Siobhan is on my last nerve..although I do like to see Lucky with someone, I just can't get into her. Sigh. Maybe it's because she's some random chick from Ireland with an accent that drives me insane?   She gets a job in 2 seconds at Jake's-- and meets Maxie. Economy must be good in PC!


Olivia was on with Jax, cause he needs a favor to get into the Carly dramaz. heh. Carly needed Johnny. BOTH wanted info on THE FACE. Of course, because every thing's about THE FACE lately. Thank you god that some characters are in Vegas, far far away!

Those Pesky Genie Francis Rumors...

Will NOT die!! Here's the latest skivvy. Someone went to a Trek convention in Plano, TX and saw Jonathan Frakes  there. He said Genie was coming back to GH  "soon"...and doing The Note 3 for the Hallmark Channel. The reason I'm hesitant on this is for a couple of reasons:

One: MONEY... GH has it's hands FULL with a certain returning vet already and quite a large cast already in rotation.

Two:  I was 99% positive that there was going to be an announcement LAST October about her coming back.. I mean, I thought it was coming the week I put up the "Sprumor" I was that sure. 

Three: I'm not getting a "Laura" vibe right now. Lucky's off doing his undercover stuff,  Liz (who is a part of it all, believe me) isn't around much..Tracy/Luke are cozy in their story. I'm thinking if she does come back it will be when/if the baby reveal comes and Helena is on canvas. Spring sweeps?

I still think Mr. G is  itching to do that "Endgame" with the Cassadines that had to be scrapped for 9/11. In as much as I get on his case, I do think he's the only one to arc out that story. (I am holding out for a secret Franco tie-in and a Stavros return, thank you). 

SO,  maybe her hubby does know and we'll see Genie back in Port Charles after all. I haven't heard it on my end, btw...not even  hinted at. If I had, I would have been on here in a flash telling you all about it!! Everyone said Vanessa was coming back so long...it finally came true, could work for this as well. 
 You know if I know more, I'll be here to let you know!

Genie Francis to be interviewed by KABC TV today

KABC-TV in Los Angles is interviewing Genie today at 4pm/pst. Get ready for the announcement. I don't think this is for her long time return to GH , but rather to say she'll cameo for Christmas. She may also be promoting her new Christmas CD. She is shown above with her brothers who recorded the charity music with her.

Genie Francis Christmas CD!

Wubber Luci sent me this info after chatting with Genie in Chicago recently. I thought it would be a wonderful christmas present for any GH fan!!

Genie Francis In Talks!

I was holding on to this for a bit but got a 2nd confirmation today that Genie is indeed in talks to reprise her role as Laura Spencer on General Hospital. One said that with Jonathan Jackson back, they are creating the "Golden Age of the Spencers". ABC said "No Comment" when reached. Here's hoping they come up with a deal SOON!

North and South

Patrick Swayze has lost the good fight and died of cancer. Read it on ET. I loved him in all his movies...The Outsiders was wonderful. Of course, Dirty Dancing and Ghost are faves too. He was also great in North and South. He will be missed. What a talent. GH connections? Demi Moore (Jackie) in Ghost and Genie Francis in North and South. It's been a heck of a year for Hollywood.
