Ok, here's the latest skuttlebutt... Raven is saying that rumors abound that GH wants Genie back as Laura.
Daytime Confidential posted that YR is saying that Genie has a major arc coming on that show ...so doesn't look like she's leaving.
I posted that Genie is filming The Note 3 in a month for Hallmark.
Sooooooooooooooooo, will she or won't she? We know Genie would never come back under Guza. Maybe Wolf can write her a decent story... I'm of the mind to say she's staying with YR if they keep her on. GH's future is unknown and she seems to love it there.
Would they ever recast Laura???? Would they DARE?? Oh, man, I would say no...but you never know!!
Just passing on info to you...that's all. All I know is she's filming in Canada--

ReplyDeleteLike Luke, Laura is one who could not be recast since she made that role hers until she has become Laura in viewer's minds. What would be the point of having a Laura that is NOT Genie? And supposedly TG is not staying all that much longer and I loved them together SO much that it would be sad to see him leave with her there. I mean, she can stand on her own, but they might as well just write a new character with a new actress.

ReplyDeleteIn my eyes, no one other than Genie can play Laura - though I have the fear that maybe if they did recast, it would be with Tamara Braun. (Hence the rumors)...
ReplyDeleteGenie will never be anything more than a passing, forgettable character on Y&R. She's a legend and our beloved Laura on GH. If given the opportunity, I hope she acts in her best interest and returns to GH. HOWEVER, she's dissed Laura and GH so much in the media that she'd be lucky if they want her back.
