I was holding on to this for a bit but got a 2nd confirmation today that Genie is indeed in talks to reprise her role as Laura Spencer on General Hospital. One said that with Jonathan Jackson back, they are creating the "Golden Age of the Spencers". ABC said "No Comment" when reached. Here's hoping they come up with a deal SOON!
Woohoo!!!!!! They better promise her the sun, moon and stars to come back...and stay!

ReplyDeleteI was not totally thrilled about JJ comming back (I love GV, and it bothers me ho they seemed to have treated him). Now, if JJ ultimately leads to GF...well I am so on board!! Especially if Cassadine drama heats up. I think LuLu is well cast for her daughter, and enjoyed their scenes together last year. A Luke-Tracy-Laura triangle would be great!!!

ReplyDeleteOoooo! I would love that if the writing is better for her this time. (Is there any hope it will be?) Is it too much to hope that with all these cast changes going on that there will be an addition or two to the writing staff?
ReplyDeleteIf Laura comes back it will draw in many old viewers. Sad for Jane Elliott though. Sorry to say this does not make me feel much better about GV. In fact, I feel worse for him since he would have had more air time with Genie possibly returning.

I love Genie and would love to see her with someone else.Maybe she could buy Kate out or work with Kate.The mob crap is so over.I like that Dom is going to take Sonny down.And I love them bringing back Audrey it probably won't be for long.I miss her.
ReplyDeleteI am so happy to hear about Genie is in talks about a possible GH return. I have met her about 2 years ago and love her, we talked for about 15 minutes about the show and our families. She's an awesome person as well as a talented actress. Just hope that she has a good storyline, but with Guza still writing for the show, doubt it on all counts!!

For whatever reason they will never dress Sam as a woman (I checked and she supposedly was born in 76). Anyhow, I also love the idea of Audrey coming back. They have pushed the envelope with Liz's character but Gram knows her best. Its a shame that poor GV has to lose his job, and why bring JJ back when at least half the fanbase was pulling for Niz? Not to mention some of us loved Lusam. That will not be possible when JJ looks like he could be Kelly Manaco's son! He looks so boyish. We loved his soft side but he was anything but sexy like Greg. Their loss for sure.

ReplyDeleteI know I am in the minority here, but I honestly could not be less thrilled about a GF return. All of her other returns have been such let downs, Luke is a joke and they walked all over GV with this JJ return...As far as I am concerned the Spencers should just go back out on the run and never return...
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited about Genie, Rachel and Jonathan coming back to GH. They need to do whatever it takes to keep them all. I miss the Spencers so much, and they are ruining my two fav characters Lucky Spencer and elizabeth Webber. I'm hoping for LnL as well as LnL2 to be reunited and for GH to finally have some other families up front for a change. So tired of mob all the time. I want so badly to see becky, jon, genie, tony, jackie, rachel, and tyler in scenes together again. I'm hoping they dust off some older footage for the occasion. I'm hoping for an intense confrontation with Lucky and elizabeth that will blow classic LL2 fans away! I want a passionate story for these two original portrayers! Can't wait for Luke and Laura!!!
