Thursday: Hope Floats?

Well, interesting news, eh?? Full soaps online! People are saying that the AMC actors are off contract in Sept so they would have to start from scratch with negotiations. Insiders at OLTL said they are excited and heard rumblings of this about a week ago but really have no idea what it really means. (not actors, these are production people). 

Today's show: Carly shrieking like a banshee.. Brenda and Alec get shot at. I don't know why but the Krissy and Ethan scene cracked me up.  "You're dead... now what"?? LOL She needs a doggie in that giant purse!!

Maxie and Sam were at least cute!! Friends on GH??  WOW!!

ABC Confirmed ONLINE Soap News!

ABC has confirmed the sale of #OLTL and #GH to Prospect Park...for online: 



The exclusive multi-year, multi-platform deal enables the soaps’ stories to continue beyond their finale dates on ABC. ABC will broadcast its final episode of “All My Children” on Friday, September 23rd and will air the final episode of “One Life to Live” in January, 2012.
The licensing agreement, brokered by Disney/ABC Domestic Television Group, enables Prospect Park to continue production of “All My Children” and “One Life to Live” beyond their life on ABC. Prospect Park will produce and deliver the two long-running programs to consumers via online formats and additional emerging platforms including internet enabled television sets. Under the terms of the arrangement, the programs will continue to be delivered with the same quality and in the same format and length. Additional details of the new productions and tune-in will be forthcoming from Prospect Park.

I am still wondering HOW this will work and what it means for actors and everyone involved. Our shows may be online...but will they look like our shows? We know actors are already leaving for greener pastures. Writers? Hmmmmmmmmmm. At least we are not dead in the water!

Will The ABC Soaps Go Online?? Don't be so Sure...

All My Children" and "One Life to Live" will live on — on the Web. Disney’s ABC has sold the online rights to the two long-running soaps, which are scheduled to go off the air in September, as part of a deal with TV, film and music company Prospect Park, The Post has learned.
Sources said the daily dramas will pick up where they left off on a new, as-yet-unnamed, TV-focused online network once the soaps finish their four-decade run on ABC.
Prospect Park, founded in 2008, is run by executives Rich Frank, a former Disney Studios boss, and Jeff Kwatinetz. Both are executive producers of USA Network’s hit show, "Royal Pains."

The firm will take charge of the same cast, crew and talent — even soap star Susan Lucci as the villainous Erica Kane — and continue the story lines.
Prospect Park is said to be finalizing its current round of funding for its Hulu-style venture in the next month to 45 days. Other unnamed financial backers are involved. The financial terms couldn’t be learned.
The soaps are expected to be the first of a number of brand-name TV shows to eventually land at the site.
News of the deal will be a huge relief to soap fans who have been campaigning for ABC to keep them on air. The broadcast network said in April it was dumping them for much less expensive, unscripted programs, "The Chew" and "Revolution."
"All My Children" launched in 1970 and "One Life to Live" began life in 1968.
A Disney spokesman didn’t respond to a request for comment. Calls to Prospect Park were not returned.
 First of all... I don't think they'd produce even a 30 minute show online-- let alone an hour. Secondly, the actors are leaving in droves-not ONE  has ever mentioned this. Crews are being dismantled. If they EVER ARE online? They won't be "our shows"....or even close, imo. Go to Daytime Confidential to check out their comments about this. Well, I shall never let myself get into another trial again in my lifetime, that's for dang sure. After OJ and now this, DONE. I'll read my true crime books and that's it!!

Jax is so the new AJ...GOD FORBID they write someone balanced, especially if they are leaving. It's stupid. Alexis is arguing that Sonny's OK for Josslyn?? Uh...she'd be first one to go into this both guns. I'm just saying that no matter what GUZA has to ruin a character instead of writing a balanced story? WTF. 


I pretended that Jax's hair was on Shawn's head for a minute. LOL that's how bored  I was. I think Jax's hair is styled after his protest over this stupid story.


So, Siobhan will think Liz did the drug thing on purpose--- even though she told her about it? Okay.. Whatever. Matt needs a haircut. Liz is suspended and Siobhan goes sheeze wacky in the hall. LOL 


LOVE Ethan's hair!! I kinda dug he and Abner too!! They were cute together. Abner said "You sound like you're in 3rd grade"!!
Ethan and Johnny--  Johnny ate pasta but didn't offer any to Ethan. AZ was fun and goofy as usual.


Didn't like Alexis' dress much.
