Sunday Surgery: Afternoon Delight

WELL!! I really enjoyed this week a LOT! Most of it was pure entertainment. Really good dialog and character interactions.

Hey, you might just leave with a smile on your face today?? !

There's a kid I work with named KRISANT and you pronounce it JUST like you think so that's what I'm having.
LET'S GO GO

A lot of little things happened this week, then a whopper on Thursday which really delighted and threw me for a loop. I am SO happy I don't know spoilers at this point because dang, I really enjoyed it. AND FIZZ WAS ON!

LATHAN VS SPIXIE:  I do admit, I saw this coming a little bit. I figured Maxie would pick Spinelli because it's way more soapy if Lulu-Nathan-Nathan-Maxie do a dance at some point than say, Nathan and Maxie are just happy. I'm still flumbuttoxed over Nathan and his delivery on almost every line (FLAT). It's like why ARE you back again? We saw a tiny glimmer of anger on Friday with his mother but other than that?? Months of nothin'. Spixie was delightful and Maxie's heartfelt: "You're my home" got to me right in the feels. Gah.
NOTE: Maxie and Nathan meeting at his gravestone that is STILL THERE just cracked me right up. Like.. they dug his grave up but left the marker? :giggle:

FIGHT! FIGHT!! Michael and Chase get into it over the key that was found in Michael's possession. Good little fight in the kitchen then they retreat. Chase and Brook have to have a long talk about his job, his fixation on Willow and their wanting to adopt. They finally went to Alexis to ask her to start the process and Chase is pulling stunts. Poor Brookie.

RIC IS MY JAM:  I was missing seeing Mr. Hearst on my screens and then he turns up and just acts his ass off in so many scenes. Sonny asks him in for advice and then basically tells him to go away. Then Ric goes to Alexis' office and wowza. Has a little epiphany about life. She's skeptical of course, but for ME? It was really sincere and wonderful. Ric doesn't want to be alone in life and sees the beauty of family. That doesn't mean he'll be all goodie two shoes but it will give him that other dimension we need.

GIO/EMMA:  Gemma also stole the show with their cute reunion this week! Like I said on that day, if I can refrain from sarcasm during those types of scenes, you know they are good ones! Such talent and really great dialog between the two of them.

WSB STUFF: Blah blah... Cullum, Brennan... Jason... Britt, shots... cold fusion. Yada yada. People are bringing up the DVX from the past. My bandwidth is jus too low to even research it all. It's glaringly apparent that FH has stepped away from the show and now with Burton taking a break, who knows where things are headed. I guess Lucas is stepping up and Marco will help? Again, it just hasn't been exciting enough or cohesive enough for me to care that much. I WANT to--but it's just not there.

THE GREAT STUFF: On to the main event of the week. There I am minding my own business thinking that Thursday is just filler and... BOOM! BAM! POW! We have some of the best scenes we've had in awhile. Seems Ol' Sidwell is the one that gave Willow the meds for Drew!! I wondered how she would get those if she quit the hospital because I assumed she stole them. NOPE! Oh what a delicious delightful scene between Drew and Jenz. Written by one of my faves, Scott Sickles. Carlo played it so perfectly as well. You can tell he loves his job and boy, do I appreciate it!!

THE REPRESENTATIVE FROM CONGRESSONIAL DISTRICT 25 :  Laura chooses Alexis to take Drew's seat until the special election. After mulling it over, Alexis is all ready to step right in. BUT!! Wait!! Sidwell has another plan and her name is Willow Cain. He convinces her to do it and Laura has to change her announcement. Alexis is crushed. Willow is hesitant and wears a lot of Urban Decay make up to compensate. Lulu tries to interview her. Nina interrupts. In the end, Willow is going to be a part time mom, a Drew-Keeper and pass legislation in congress! Ok then!! What could go wrong?

TALK OF SOCIAL MEDIA: What was the BIG news on Socials this week? WELP...Elizabeth and Dante!!! He went to talk to her about Willow's time at the house and it ended up being a 'meet cute' of sorts. Both Dante and Liz need something and this may be it. He's hot headed, she's calm and serene. I like both Becky and Dom so... approved.

INSERT JOSS STUFF: WHAT is happening? I'm wondering if Eden is sticking around because she's just floating and doing weird stuff now and then. I mean SHE got into Wyndemere during the storm and actual talked to Cullum, saw the cigs and the book. Then.. what. WHAAAAT!!? Oh, she stupidly shows GIO the book at The Brown Dog like he's supposed to know what it is. LOL. I guess that maybe with Emma back we'll ramp things up with this? I don't even know anymore.

FLOWERS IN THE ATTIC: Ok, I stole that title but at least it makes it a bit exciting, right? After going off on what is Joss doing I have to add--WHAT is the deal with Valentin? Was it not thought out beyond him hiding at Carly's house? He's been there forever! Geesh!! I keep waiting for Joss to stumble upon him up there and join forces. Or a rat to run over his foot. Anything!

ALSO RANS:

Isaiah confronts Trina, Trina apologizes to her mama and feels the baby kick.

Ava tells Lucas she's a big girl and will play with Sidwell if she wants

Maxie wants Sidwell out of Deception

Sonny and ADA kiss, she slaps him and.. well, that's that. CONFLICTED about FEELINGS

Lulu and Nathan: furrowed brows about telling Maxie they have a connection.

WUBSY WANTS:

Brad to come on board to help figure out the composite used for Britt's meds and to be the guy down in the lab you want to see now and again.

Ms Wu to get in there somehow

The teens/young adults to get way more airtime. We need a strong 20 something cast to get things going.

WHERE THE HECK is Martin?

TEMP CASTING ON MONDAY: Ezra will be played by Patrick Scott Lewis for that day because Daniel Cosgrove was stuck in a snowstorm back east and couldn't get in to film!

Well, that's it!! Really good dialog this week. Having Maxie back just feels right, doesn't it? When actors are loving their jobs, it really shows and it sure does with Carlo. He reminds me a bit of Connie Towers and how she was just delighted to inhabit Helena for awhile. I hope this week is as lively! I made my hair appointment for 9:30am so I won't miss the show! Ha ha!

CHEERS!!  Thanks to Sloan for this awesome photo and most of the others in the blog this week!
