Cady McCain and The Prospect Deal...
Cady McCain took to facebook to address some of the things she's been hearing about the Cyber-deal. Thought you'd like to read some of it.. interesting. Read it in FULL on Cady's FB Page
Okay, I just have to say that the news that "AMC didn't move on because of actor negotiations" is just totally wrong. First of all, when I was there at the very end, TONS of actors were asking each other, "have you been contacted? Has ANYBODY been contacted?" The answer was always, "No. What's going on? Why haven't they contacted any of us?"
Now comes the real question, why? Why weren't they asked? Is it true that PP was negotiating only with Lucci and waiting until that deal was done to contact anyone else? I do not know. She did not share that info with anyone as far as I know. I did hear through the grapevine (after the show ended) that PP did indeed contact her. Make of that what you will.
Is it true that PP showed preference for OLTL from the very beginning? Yes, I do know that because OLTL had higher ratings, PP felt they had a better bet with them. Other than that, I cannot guess at anything else, other than that PP only has so much money to go around, and this internet gamble is a huge one. My feeling is, when OLTL goes to the internet, it will have a only a FEW months to prove itself as a viable show. If it doesn't pull the ratings PP needs it to... it will not withstand the chopping block. If it DOES do well in the ratings, then there is a CHANCE that AMC will be pulled back into the mix.

All My Thanks to All My Children!
I watched the first day, now I am watching the last day. I wish I could find Patty Andolina so I could watch with her and complete the cycle!! We loved Tara and Phil, those star-crossed lovers. *sigh* Mary and Jeff--scheming Erica Kane.....
Thank You to Agnes Nixon for years of stories and memories!
First show I remember mentioning birth control...abortion... two friends of different race runnin' away--as quaint as that seems it was big back in the day!!! Kate would sit in her kitchen or livingroom, giving advice--Myrtle ran the boarding house. Erica was always the glamour girl--with real trips to NYC!
ALL MY CHILDREN TRENDING WORLDWIDE on Twitter!! YES!!
The finale was so heartfelt-- so wonderful!! The children montage!! It was so sad..and touching!!
I liked having the JR angst...it wasn't all flowers.
Marion and Stuart!! 'My queen of hearts'!!
Brooke Used AUNT PHOEBE's money to buy back the Chandler Mansion!!
Awwww, Angie and David "See past the sneer"!! ..love David being friends with Angie
LOVED the party..loved Erica's dress and Opal's!! So over the top! Awesome...
Neighbors, family and friends. I found all of them here," says Tad. "It's been my home, the best years of my life."
JACK..classic Gone with the Wind line and then....the show ending on a BANG!! I loved it, LOVED it..see, they want us to watch online!! Even if it doesn't happen?? It's still brilliant--not cookie cutter but on a cliffhanger..JUST LIKE A SOAP SHOULD, IMO! Bravo for taking a risk and not going out all schmaltzy!
Ah, we had our schmaltz all week...our flashbacks, our 'resolutions" this was way more bold and ballsy!! Thank you!

Cynthia Preston -- All My Children
Portrayed by: Jane Elliot (1984-86)
Family: Andrew Preston Cortlandt (Son)
Marriages: Ross Chandler; Palmer Cortlandt
Genie Francis was also on AMC as con artist and incest victim Ceara Connor Hunter from 1990 to 1992!
My fave story on AMC was Jesse, Angie, Greg and Jenny. Awesome TV at the time, and just right for my age!! I also loved Nina and wanted her hair. She was the only one I knew with a nose as tiny as mine. LOL
Palmer and Cynthia Cortlandt!

I was actually thinking how much Dixie looked like the old Ruth!
\Mary Fickett, a New York actress whose career spanned 50 years of radio, television, stage and movies, died Thursday at her home in Callao in Northumberland County. She was 83.
For nearly 30 years, Fickett was loved and admired by millions of people as the good, compassionate nurse Ruth Parker Brent Martin on the daytime TV drama "All My Children." She appeared in the first episode of the show in 1970 and made her last appearance in 2000.
At the height of the Vietnam War in the show's 1972-73 season, Fickett delivered a touching monologue expressing her character's doubts about the war and fears about her drafted son.
Ruth's speech resonated with millions of viewers across America with the same doubts and fears. It also won Fickett an Emmy in 1973, the first ever awarded to a performer in a daytime drama.
With Ruth and her doctor husband as the drama's tent-pole characters, "All My Children" became the top-rated daytime TV drama in 1978. Ray MacDonnell played the role of Dr. Joe Martin, Fickett's TV husband.

Ricky Paull Goldin: Last Day of AMC Taping
All My Children’s Ricky Paull Goldin (Jake Martin) was present at the final tape day of the series network television run this past Tuesday. And as Goldin reveals exclusively to the New York Post, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house.
An emotional Goldin said of the devastating experience of watching the end of Pine Valley as we know it, “I can’t even begin to tell you how many tears there were — more than your average soap. Everyone was crying. At one point, I was taking people on a little tour of the set on the final day — I wasn’t allowed to do that, but I forgot — so I snuck ‘em through the sets and I started to get very emotional. I saw some of our sets coming down and ‘my’ loft, Jake’s loft, was gone and the Martin living room [set] was scaled down and Tad’s living room was stripped down and some of the other sets had tape across them. It was like a crime scene! I turned around and saw the sets as they were and got choked up and emotional, really for the first time, since it hit me that this was really happening.”
“When we did our last scene for the show forever, after they said ‘Cut!’ on that scene we all got together for a photograph of the entire cast and crew,” says Goldin. “We all got together in Erica Kane’s penthouse and took the cast photo — including all the multiple kids in the show — and I went to the top of that sweeping staircase and looked out at everybody. It was very surreal, very Fellini. Everything just went in slow motion. It just broke my heart.”

However on the flip side, Goldin revealed that he has a new web-series for Disney called CeReality set to launch next month, which is a soap-spoof/reality series! Ricky describes the show as ”a-high-concept, over-the-top comedy.”
“Last year I would’ve said, ‘An Internet comedy? I’m not interested.’ But what’s happening is, I’ve got a newborn son, Kai, who’s 10 months old and by the time he’s 5 or 10, it’s all going to be blended. You’re going to walk up to a flat-screen TV, touch a button and watch what you want. It’s happening already.”
