Another shortie blog because there's not a lot to say other than I loved some of the shows and fell asleep with others. So hit and miss with me. The fundamental joy was with the Quartermaines! All in the same place, doing Q things and making me smile.

I'm telling you to sit down and find Tuesdays' show either on Hulu or YouTube because it's just a wonderful throwback to earlier, fun GH days. Flow? Great. Dialog: FUN and so many people. When Ned walked out I did scream a bit. Having Olivia and him there was perfect. They are so needed in the family mix. Jane is having a blast and the whole 'dump on the help' thing is just a Q type trait that would happen. When Sasha said she was pregnant the air was sucked out of the room! Jason had a rare lightbulb moment that was hilarious. Give me more. FILL that living room with people and wacky stuff. I even thought her screaming about the mouse was great. Ah, I was so happy.
The end of Tuesday's show was a cliffhanger to behold!! Valentin stepped out and I did a WHAT?? Gasp-take!! Had no clue it was coming. I thought Carly was going to walk in naked or something! Now, both CM and JPS sold that strangling scene perfectly. Didn't feel like a "soap" stunt. I of course, loved it. Even Carly didn't make me go ewwww!! She was so tolerable. The kiss when he came into her room--also perfection. Of course, they had to stop it and talk about his past for 2 days which totally killed the buzz. BUT!! For a split-second it was glorious.
Rumor has it Sonny doesn't make it to LA and has an 'episode' right in Port Charles. This is my wish. Let him fall down and Ava swoop right in!!
The Brook Lyn pregnancy story WOULD have had legs if they had set it up back in the beginning. Not when she was first on but when she came back with Amanda in the role. Cody and Dante were talking enough about camp that things should have dovetailed from then. This whole backstory with Cody putting Brook on the bus is crazy-pants. Also see: I don't care about Gio Boy so, there's that part.
And... it MOVED! St. Jaysus was there when the baby kicked (isn't she only like 5 weeks? But anyway)...Cody was there to see the laying of the hands. He of course thinks it's Jason's and blabs to everyone. Jason doesn't believe Sasha that Michael said raise the baby alone so he's going to go wake the poor kid up AGAIN and ask him himself. Geesh. I get that he thinks of this as his grandbaby but damn, you're a bit much, Sir!
Digitalis Murder "Mystery" . I was going to write a giant paragraph on the failures of this story but let me just say: NOPE. I mean, I feel like this could have been a "Murder She Wrote" 2 part episode and over and done with. That photo was from January 10th, the last time Cyrus was seen. He was putting the injection into Michael's IV.
I'm so tired of Laura's never-ending revolving hoard of blazers. Seriously. I mean at least it's cold out.

Ok, that's all I'm doing this week. My suggestion is watch Tuesday and maybe Wed. show. Curtis' threats to Drew Friday were good. Liked Ric figuring out something was up with Sonny.

NOTE: I didn't write this in the blog because many people come here to forget about politics for a minute. I know the people that comment frequently and many are from Canada. (if any readers are from Mexico, this goes for you too). SO many of us stand with you and I hope your government(s) do what they need to do to stop this madness. I live next to Canada and love it there. That's my soapbox today. These are dire times and I can't just be silent.

ReplyDeleteAs bad as it can be it is a welcome distraction. Especially the good parts which always seem to take place at the Q's. If only they could somehow integrate Brad into that family. He is definitely a bright spot on GH.
