This year on GH was steeped in death. The Deaths of Spencer, Esme, Gregory , Baby Irene, Sam McCall and Dex. All were powerful dramas in their own rights. It's always difficult for me to pick and choose over the year but I did my best. Do you agree?
Writing Shake up: So, the HW team went through quite the shift. Following the writer's strike, Both Chris VanEtten and Dan O'Conner were have thought to have left. Elizabeth Korte and Patrick Mulcahey were named at the top of the helm. It was then learned that CVE was still writing breakdown during this time. Then, Patrick abruptly left and Chris became co-head writer with EK. Cathy LePard was named "associate writer". Who knows what all this baking and shaking did to storylines and timing. We can only imagine.

What?! No no no. I'm surprised you didn't say Natalia for worst new character! I pick Natalia for worst new character! I like Gio and I want Trina and Gio together after the new year. They are fun, sweet, and funny!
I always enjoy reading Sunday Surgery and concur with the Wubby Awards. While Kristina’s fall isn’t my favorite story, I understand why you picked it. There were definitely far too many deaths on the show this year. While it will not happen, the show needs a moratorium death.

ReplyDeleteMostly everything else is on point. I'd go for Natalia being worst, at least a tie.
I don't see TJ as best supporting and I LOVE the way Kristina dresses. Very casual and realistic. I'd give worst dresser to BLQ. But there could be more.
I will say once again...too many deaths, too much doom and gloom.

I agree with all of your awards except for Lulu...I think that she should have stayed in a coma and Sam should have stayed alive.

I agree with most of it. I think Finola Hughes and Genie Francis are up there for best actresses even though the writers have done weird crap to the characters. NLG did a phenomenal job recently.
ReplyDeleteI do miss Dr O and Scotty; they were so much fun. Lucy and Martin were great too until they split them up. VAnna I still miss. Stupid stuff has happened this year too.
I do like the new Lulu. Didn't think I would since I am a huge fan of Julie Marie Berman. The actress is doing a great job.
I too loved having the BJ actress back. She looks just like she did as a little girl but grown up!!
