MEET Nikolas Cassadine!!

I must admit, I wanted it to be Tyler but his guy has the Cassadine "look"-- and although I thought he was too young at first, the actor is 41--so! hey! Bring it on. Here's hoping he can act! Marcus Coloma is playing him. Nikolas was on canvas in 2016 and after Tyler Christopher's hasty leaving, Nicholas Stabile stepped in.

Spinoff Thursday

Most of you know, that there were 2 spinoffs of GH once upon a time. Although they were similar in some nature, they were also very stand alone. Let's compare and contrast.

Night Shift

Night Shift was aired in prime time, with a total of 27 episodes over 2 seasons. It was aired on SoapNet and was Soapnet's first original programming. Many of the characters and actors crossed over from GH. Unlike GH, each storyline was finished at the end of the hour and not carried over to another episode so that it would be understandable to viewers who did not watch GH. Although, in all honesty, I cannot really imagine someone watching this show without watching GH. The show was supposed to deal with the relationships and the friendships among the staff on the Night Shift. 

Port Charles

Port Charles aired in 1997 as a half-hour show airing on ABC and ended in 2003. It started out as a show about the interns on General Hospital, but fast turned the storylines to the supernatural. Most notably, vampires. Each 13-episode arc was a "book" and was given a name for the arc. The amount of crossovers from the parent show was limited. There were many new characters, and as it turned out, some of the actors made there way on to the parent show. (Michael Easton and Kelly Monaco)

Of course Karen and I decided to jump into the foray 

and give our opinions for potential spinoffs.

PC Pet Detectives

Annabelle and Foster would be an animated 30-minute show which would chronicle the daily shenanigans of our beloved canines. Mostly, they would be doggie detectives, trying to solve the crimes that happen throughout Port Charles. Along for the ride would be Daisy, Jake's dog and also Sigmund, Lucy's duck. Humans would be present, for example, Lucky would be in some episodes, but at the age at which he first acquired Foster. And humans would only be seen from the waist down, no faces (kinda like Muppet Babies) 

BOBBIE'S BROWNSTONE 

That's right!! Bobbie would reopen the Brownstone she had so many years ago. Who would be featured tenants? Felix for one. We'd follow his Tinder dates and adventures as ER Trauma Nurse. Molly and TJ would move in as newlyweds, all excited for their lives to begin. Will there be trouble with the new nurse,  Emersyn who notices TJ in the hallway and can't get over how great he is?  Amy would also have a room and her brother Chet would visit frequently Bobbie would dispense advice, have her own romances and angst. Big emphasis on resident doctors, nurses and the odd hours they keep. Plenty of shower scenes. 

So, did you watch either or both? What are your memories of them? If you could take any characters now and create a spinoff, who would it be? 

I need the Scotch

Molly is RBG and knocks on the door..Alexis is sleeping on the couch, not waking up. Molly uses her key to get in.  She's been asleep all day and Molly wants to take her to GH .  They get there and Finn is there.  He's going to check her out. She's been vomiting, sleeping and has stomach pain. A rash on her hand. I'm going with arsenic ? 

Carly and Jason get to recon the whole "how is Sam..yada yada"... they just gab and Jason says he won't dress up in a costume.

TJ is thinking of asking Molly to marry him.  Curtis is happy. Jordan is not. She thinks Curtis hasn't been out of Port Charles and has only dated Molly since HS and he needs to broaden his horizons. 



Hospital:  Finn tells Violet about Roxy. Hayden listens in. Finn brought her candy. She is SO adorable. She's making a fast and full recovery.  Oh, Liz comes to GH and Hayden is like: Um... well...guess what!?  Liz is so happy to have a niece. She thinks Violet is beautiful and "one hell of a surprise". 

Cam goes with Trina to the dance. They are meeting Devvvvvvvv and Joss. Joss is upset, she lost her watch. and SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT FOR 3 WHOLE DAYS! the horror.  Cam and Trina come in. Cam apologizes to Jason for going off on him. Later, Cam is alone and puts Scotch in his Coke bottle! OH CAM!! Really? Scotch in coke? LOL 



END: 
Michael bumps Ava, gun falls out of her purse.
Finn thinks Alexis should stay over night. 
Ava over hears Valentin talk about Helena's portrait. 

Pretty dull show for a halloweenie one

Dumpster of Doom

Alexis' house. Dr. Neil brings in Chinese Food. Alexis says she doesn't care if it's on her diet or not. Her 'trainer" worked her out--hard and she was literally dizzy (DUN DUN DUNNNNN) They go to eat and Jason knocks on the door. Jason tells her that Sam is taking the bench trial. Alexis says: WHAT IS DIANE THINKING!?  She thinks Sam should have a jury trial. So does Jason. Alexis gets a text about the trial. Jason says "Elizabeth lost"?? I have to go. 




Franco doesn't want to go right to San Diego. Kim thinks it's because Julian squealed to Scotty about her trying to "get pregnant" by Drew. She cries and thinks Franco-Drew is going to leave her. He explains he didn't want Kim to move on before she fully heals. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you but at the right time"... She says "WHEN I"M FIXED, RIGHT" She leaves the courthouse. 


Cam went home..Liz was worried. He said he was at the gym and the punching bag won. THey talk about Franco and Cam still thinks it's his fault because he didn't run. Liz says no. They worry about telling Jake and Aiden. 
Bobbie comes over, looking for Scotty. Liz tells her they lost the trial. Bobbie goes to find Scotty in a bar somewhere lol 
Jason knocks, Cam says Liz is resting. Jason says he's worried about Jake. Cam says he doesn't want him there when they tell him. "all Jake wanted was for you two to get along but you hate Franco and you showed it on the stand today".
Liz tells him to go upstairs. 


Scotty is talking to Sonny. He wants him to help with the Franco situation. He tells Sonny what happened at the trial. Scotty wants Sonny to grab Franco and hold him until Dr. Maddox can 'Fix" him. Sonny's like UM..that's kidapping. Scotty says, like you've NEVER done that before!! Sonny hedges. Scott is mad ...he leaves and goes to Charlie's. Bobbie finds him. 

Peter and Maxie. He wants to know what happened at the trial. The reporter is missing.  He's worried about the outcome. 
 He finally gets the word that the judge didn't make Franco get the memories back.  He wants Maxie to move in with him. She's like: UM..that's an about face. He says he's ready now. 

Kendra throws out the protein jar in the dumpster behind Charlie's. Flashback number 66 about what she did. Julian sees her and asks her if she needs help.  She says no-- they then go into the restaurant. She orders a Manhattan-- then Kim comes in and smacks Julian. She says he's an ass for telling the world her most shameful secret. She says well, "WE WON and you destroyed any part of me that cared about you"


Franco goes into Sonny's gym.  He boxes. Leaves his shirt on!! LOL ..um, okay then. I think he might knock himself out lol. Wake up Franco. 

Alexis gets really tired. Neil leaves and tells her to get rest. Tomorrow they show her passed out on the couch. 

Another Week...

Here we go--last week in October! And HALLOWEENIE!! usually my fave time on soaps. Not always done well but we usually get some drama. LOOK what I found: Robin coming back when she was "Dead" : 

Now, if you look at the preview and the OTHER Masked Guy (I'm saying 100% Nikolas) -- it's just like that mask a bit! 


ON WITH ZE SHOW! 

Michael BOXING with Chase. GOOD LORD. :eyeroll: Michael punches Chase and Chase falls down. AHAHHAAHA yeah, I don't think so. They talk about Michael falling in love with Sasha. Pointless scenes, imo.  

Brucas are at the therapist. Lucas says how weird Brad has been since Wiley. Restless, stomach problems. He thinks Brad is keeping something from him.  He mentions the flowers and his paling around with Nelle. Brad says Lucas will never forgive him for being "Bad Brad" so long ago lol  Dr. Neil says the fact they are talking is a positive direction

Willow is watching Wiley at Charlie's. Why? I guess so Jules can be all pissy with her "What are you doing with my grandson"? He realizes the boys are at therapy and he's not happy.  Later when Brucas comes back, he drills Brad about therapy. Convinces him to change his phone password. OMG he totally wants Lucas to think Brad is having an affair!! I bet  he sent the flowers!
So.. he tells Lucas to 'take a video" of he and Wiley and Lucas picks up Brad's phone and realizes the password is changed LOL He's paranoid. He asks Brad. He thinks Brad has secrets. 

Sonny sees Laura outside of Kelly's...wants to ask her about Scott Baldwin--Scott talked to him about the Franco situation and he wants to know what Laura thinks. She feels badly for all involved. She tells Sonny to try to have compassion for Scott from a "father's point of view" . He says he'll try. They hug. 

Kendra is in with Alexis, she drinks more of that drink. Kendra says she lost a brother 'Far too young and far too soon"... doesn't say Keifer's name tho. 
Sonny comes in and sits, Kendra leaves. He laughs at Alexis for having a trainer LOL ...she bitches about Sam being in jail. Kendra overhears--and pours 1/2 of the protein shake thing in the garbage.



Court: Judge talks about the human condition--yada yada.. Should the man be made to return to his self before he was horribly violated? "No matter what, one man will cease to exist.." The witnesses have no bearing on the case since the only question was competency and Kevin answered that. So, she rules for "Drew" to make his own choices.  Cam jumps up, NO! You can't do that! She tells him to sit down. Since he's competent, he's released from Shady Brook and Liz' care. Kim turns to him and says: "Now you can start the rest of your life"  
Franco thanks Tad.. says: now what? Tad says: What? WHAT? You are your own man now.
He goes to Scotty: That was fun, until we meet again
Scotty: We'd better not!
Cam lays into Franco ... Kevin steps in and says "I know you are in pain but our hands are tied"
Scotty: MINE Aren't! He decks Kevin LOL Kevin's down!!!  Laura comes in all mad, yells at Scotty. 
Franco says "this is the way things are now"...Cam storms out. 

After, Liz walks out stunned. Laura sits with her. Liz says she has to do something first. Gets a big look on her face. Walks back in and says to Franco: "You come and say goodbye to your family and then I'll let you go".  


Cam goes to the gym to hit the heavy bag. Trina holds it for him. He punches hard..cries. Trina hugs him, Sonny looks on with a compassionate look on his face. 

END:
DrewCo is acting like he might not want to leave with Kim. "I've gotten everything I wanted but what does that mean"? 

Sunday Surgery: Blindsided

I'm going to keep asking you until you say what I want to hear!! 

Oh WUBSY had a good GH week!! I even wanted to get home to watch the trial! We had 2 Scott Sickles days! A new fun pairing!  Reveals galore! 

Don't faint...I'm sure I'll be back to crabbing soon! 

Today? Just a nice Americano from Starbucks. Only because I got a gift card :) That ish is expensive!! 

MOCA MURDERS

WELP.

Tony is "BACK" to help Lucas through the tough time with Brad and baby Wiley! That's right-- I guess he'll visit him as the spirit he is. Aging in the afterlife? 


TODAY'S SHOW! I hope it's as good as the rest of the week! 



KELLY'S:  KevLar Talk about the artist guy but he's passed away. They have to find the portrait now! Kevin has to go to the trial and testify. Laura said Liz didn't want her there.
HUH? Why? Not sure. But Kevin leaves to go testify. 

SCHOOL: Dustin couldn't make their date so Lulu brings him a picnic.  They basically recon he entire wedding. 

JAIL: Sam looks like crap. She wants out before her crazy cellmate gets out of solitaire. Diane is like: Sorry, that Bryce guy is DEAD. 
DIane says to do a bench trial, not a jury trial. IT's faster and it's better.  Jason and Sam talk about the option. The judge is supposed to be 'fair' but you know she'll get changed out at the last minute lol 

CRIMSON: Valentin wants to look for art work to replace Hell's portrait. Nina's like: FINE, go.. I'll stay here. A package arrives and it's from Spencer "Congrats to you kicking that louse to the curb" LOL it's champagne. He leaves.  Then "Judy" (new British assistant?) comes in saying Val wanted it sent back. Nina says no, no need. She places it behind her desk. Because you know, she's bamboozling him. 
Ava storms in-- "Give me back my scotch. You took back Valentin! Nina smiles like a chesire cat. Then they argue about Valentin and the fact Nina shouldn't take him back. Nina thinks Ava is projecting her Ryan angst on to her. 

Maxie and Peter are in the outside office, Maxie's trying to listen through the door. Peter's distracted by the trial on his phone, he's getting updates. He uses the paper as an excuse for paying attention. Lucy comes in. She says she has Peter's condo back and ready to buy!! Maxie is like: YES! GET IT!! Peter says: NO.. not yet. Lucy pushes. 
Peter thinks something is going to get in the way of their happiness. UGH I DON"T CARE


TRIAL: Kim admits to drugging Drew. She says she stopped and Scotty asks: Did you have a change of heart or did someone stop you? She tells the court someone did stop her. Scotty says: Are you trying to keep Drew Cain around to have another baby--WITH A DEAD MAN???? dun dun dunnn..Then Franco gets on the stand and Tad tries to prove his memories make him Drew. 
So... then Liz remembers sometihing about one of the dates "Drew" was talking about. When Scotty gets up he points to the Times article about "Murder at the MOCA"-- and then shows Franco his own face in the paper.  Scotty asks if he NOW remembers it..he can't. Scott says how can a man that doesn't remember this be competent?? 
Trina shows up to show support for Cam. Kevin comes in to testify. Tells Scott they should talk first. Scotty is like, nope go ahead. Kevin says Franco IS in his right mind!! Dun Dun DUNnnnnnnnn...He thinks Liz shouldn't be his medical proxy at all, that Franco is competent. 
Scotty's like WHAT THE HELL? Tad is happy. lol. Everyone 'rests' and the judge goes off to make her decision. 

The Gallery:  Ava is showing Trina the ropes.. Trina thinks Helena's painting is creepy and asks that it gets put into the backroom. Ava agrees. Then Valentine comes in. Ava is amazed that Nina took him back. 
She leaves for Crimson

Valentin tells Laura to warn Spencer to knock it off. 
Nina holds the champagne and smiles. 
Judge is ready to make her decision but it's Friday so... we gotta wait.
