Sunday Surgery: Coffee, Tea or Me?

I've started this blog at least a half a dozen times and I have to tell you, I'm struggling!! Last week was slapped together and I'm not sure I can do much better for this one. At one point, I felt like the show was written by some people that had walked off the street. It was just that-- random. BUT! I shall try to stitch together something coherent for you.

Grab whatever you have to settle in...and let's GO GO!

I don't even know how to start other than to say this week was filled with disjointed, hastily thrown in side stories that just drove me crazy.

RANDO ONE:  So, apparently Krissy is still attached to the Corinthos-Davis LGBTQ Center. We all thought that was abandoned during the Blaze-Days when they didn't like what Natalia was saying. SURPRISE!! And not only that, she wants to honor Marco for saving her from the fire. She talks with Lucas who tells her all about his lost love including his penchant for tennis. That's right. TENNIS! So, she's going to have a fund-raiser to build a tennis court for the kids at the center. M'kay. It was such a throw-in conversation that I honestly was just baffled. But that's how all of Tuesday was for me.

RANDO TWO:  On the same day, Isaiah talks about hitting his car against the parking garage and scraping it up. (We all know where this is leading, right)?? THEN, he calls Kai out of the blue to come in to talk to a liver patient that is a fan of his PCU days as a quarterback. Will we see this kid again? Just wondering. You know what would have made it better? When Kai was in there, James walks in to show his friend Derrick his new Karate belt. That's right, they are friends and such. See, I can tie things together!

KARATE RANDO: FYI: James  is into Karate and he's going to get a party to celebrate.

PACKAGE RANDO:  We are reminded that Trina actually LIVES on the Q grounds when she delivers a package that ended up at her door to Tracey. Why do we have this scene you ask? One because Brook wants to make her a singer and two because we need more guilt scenes about Jordan's face.

PS I really wanted to see what was in that box.

HE'S STILL UP THERE: Valentin is still in the attic. He's mighty pissed about things too. Carly wants him to cook some steaks and then yells at him the entire time. BUT! Their soapy-passion doesn't keep them apart--no sir!! I really thought when he called the clinic there would be SOME movement to get him up and out to go find Anna. Instead, Carly took him to her bedroom and ..well you know the rest. Jack barged in and she yelled "JACK" (to warn Val I think) and was in bed alone. Ergo, still not caught.*sigh* I mean I don't WANT him "Caught" but...right now he's a booty call,  a chef and sounding board for Joss. I want more.

MOUTHY McBLABBERSON:  Joss talked to everyone and their sisters about "Nathan"... THE BOOK...."The Cigs" and whatever else was out there to say. She even took herself to Brennan and yelled at him and ratted out her own mother.  Why he didn't just take out his gun and unload is puzzling. We do have an exciting encounter coming up Monday because Cassius grabs her and won't let her leave the apartment. I honestly think he's going to tell her he's a double agent working on the Sidwell case. (He won't tell her he's Cassius tho) It's either that or he'll keep her in that glass room Anna was in. Honestly, that's the better choice of the two because she'd be far away from everyone in PC.

ACTUAL CONGRESS WORK? Even though she's using it to blackmail Brennan, Willow is actually doing some real government work with some appropriations committee. Wow.  There's also the tidbit that she wants to take the kids to Disney and Michael wants them to go to Hawaii. Riveting stuff.

FLOWER BOY:  Chase shows up at Willow's office with her fave flowers to say thank you for the Phoebe help. Um, just have an affair already, will ya?

BRITT LOSES HER TEMPER: She goes wild on Rocco for skulking around Cullum's room and Liz catches her. Nice acting from Kelly but this story is just dragging beyond belief. Maybe Liz can solve it for us and we can be done? PLEAZZEEE.

THE MICHAEL JAMES SCOTT AUDITION:  Our own paparazzi , Sloan put this together to demonstrate just how many times this guy's name was said.  I mean... come on now. WE GET IT. Why do soaps have to do this? People don't talk like that. Just get a sign up and have it say: "Appearing tonight: Michael James Scott and have people stand by it now and then. AND WHO SAYS ALL THREE names all the time? Thank God Gio says "Mike".  Did MJS actually sing last week? Nope. The Savoy was basically a backdrop for Brook Lyn's guilty feels over the accident she probably wasn't even involved with.

STOP THIS:  Just stop. Thanks. He's not slick, he's not cute and his voice gives me the heebie jeebies.

STUFF THAT HAPPENED:

Dante told Joss he knows she's WSB. How many people know? A ton.

Isaiah tells Lucas he scrapes his black SUV up in the parking garage. We all know where this is going.

Valentin calls the clinic and doesn't scramble the signal. Good Job

Brennan realizes Carly is indeed cheating on him

Elizabeth suggests a communication board for Drew

Joss pushes "Nathan" with a story about Maxie and he reacts by grabbing her

Ava and Lucy spar over Sidwell :eyeroll:

Molly is going on a book tour. Cody wants to come with

Ethan passes Sonny's test and keeps an eye on Lucy.

It appears (as of now) that Dr O doesn't realize that "Nathan" is Cassius

MY REASON FOR HOPE:  We got an Ava/ Ric scene that made me smile

I would write more but I'm honestly so frustrated over this week that I just don't have it in me. I realize St. Jaysus is gone but ...damn. The "Cold-Fusion" Story is just flat and dull. I DON'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS AT THIS POINT! We never see Britt 'working'...Cullum's been in the hospital since March and..then there's Joss repeating the same things over and over again. Maybe things will get better once Finola is back? The Lucy/Ava "fight" with Sidwell is just over the top nonsense and not worthy of either actress. There's NO intrigue at all. Let's argue over who's going on vacation with him and when! Ethan? Boring. I guess we are trying to get Trina a singing career. Hey, if it keeps Brook from her guilty looks every 5 seconds I'm all for it. March was SUCH a great month for the show and I feel like we are back in the slump of talking about James' karate and taking weeks and weeks to find out about Cassius. Jordan's face. Marco's Memorial Tennis Court. You get the gist.

WELP! That's all the bitching and moaning I've got!! Maybe YOU enjoyed this week? Let's hope so.

CHEERS!
