Sunday Surgery: Route 91

 

Well, Fiddle-Dee-Dee!! It was a week on GH that I only saw the last 3 episodes and I don't care! Usually I'd go back and watch the other ones but time's a wastin' and based on what I DID see...nah. I'm good. SO, if I say things that don't make sense, feel free to correct me in the comments. I'll try to keep this light and fun!

I realize that all soaps thrive on secrets. GH is reaching it's damn limit real fast. The whole Cullum thing, Valentin in the attic, Rocco shooting Cullum, Nathan is Cassius, Anna wasn't going insane, Willow shot Drew and now--Who was involved in  the Jordan/Curtis accident? I find myself just yelling at the TV: TELL THE TRUTH ALREADY! 

GUILTY LOOKS:  At first the wine and Brook Lyn shots seemed to point to her being the other car involved in the crash. Mind you, Curtis has said numerous times that it was Jordy that took her eyes off the road, swerved and lost control...so this might all be moot anyway. Next up with the looks was Isaiah who all of a sudden had that "oh shit" on his face when Portia told him about what happened. I'm also not even sure what made the kids go off the road because no one seemed to ask them (on camera anyway). Was it a deer? Was it... stupid teenage driving? What? *sigh* file this under: we will find out in many months to come. 

THE HAND: I mention this because Rocco's gun cut is getting infected and now Isaiah also knows his secret. Well, he doesn't know the specifics but he knows what that wound is from. Lulu just says: Don't ask, don't tell and he's cool with it. I'm ready for Rocco to get a full-blown Staph infection and watch Dante lose his mind. 

CHARLIE'S SING ALONG: Charlie's is back open. I'm so disappointed in the decor. How bland and nothing. The lights are on full blast too. Before, it at least had a Blues vibe. Now it's just a brick cellar thing. So... Trina sang and Gio played the guitar. The big message here: GIO IS PLAYING AGAIN. That seemed to be a big thing during all of this. Trina can SING!! Will she continue her art studies or all of a sudden be 'discovered' ?? And then... there's Jacinda!! Paige Hershell is an actual jazz-blues singer that has a band. She got up to sing and... WE NEVER HEARD HER. That had to be an editing choice. I MEAN-- COME ON. Everyone said what a great job she did (to the point that it was embarrassing) and we never heard a note!! Instead we heard....

THE VOICE OVER:  In a very abrupt and weird turn of events, just when Jacinda was going to sing, Dante had a loud, awkward thought about Josslyn being in the WSB and how he has to save her. First of all, this "Josslyn is in the WSB" is ridiculous. She's been 'stepped down' and isn't even doing anything but traumatizing poor Emma about a book where her grandmother is featured. I also need to point out that on socials, SO many people have forgotten Dante even KNOWS Joss is a spy!! That's what happens when things go on so long. You forget who the players even are. Bizarre. 

VIALS OF LIFE:  How long since Britt's last dosage? If her Huntington's is real, shouldn't she be in full on tremors by now? We saw other vials in the safe. If she, Lucas and Cassius went to Sidwell and told him he killed Marco couldn't we solve all of this in a nano-second? Plus.. just get the vial and have Brick do what he was going to do in the first place. I get the whole "Sidwell hates Sonny' storyline but damn, it's gone on long enough and the whole Cold Fusion stuff is just not doing it. There's just no there there. You had a FANTASIC Jason Exit so it should have been mostly wrapped up afterwards. Seriously, THAT was the time to draw things to a close. 

IN A PANIC:  Nina tells Willow that Brennan is about to bring the hammer down on her and show the video footage. Willow freaks out, talks about her 'career' and kids and wants to STOP IT. She gets all psycho looking as well and I'm wondering what she's going to do! Meanwhile, Nina goes to Brennan and threatens to tell Carly about his little stunt. 

THE ANVIL:  When Sonny suddenly starts appreciating Ric as his BROTHER and they get all close can that only mean that--- you know? RH is leaving?? There are rumors out there but I'm refusing to believe them. NOPE. Rick Hearst is such a good addition to the cast that I can't imagine him gone now. 

SHOCKING REMINDER:  Curtis casually mentions 'calling TJ' about this mother's injuries. Didn't say where he is, why he couldn't come or anything. Welp, at least we got a mention, right?!! 

 

OTHER STUFF:  

Carly sleeps with Jack; Valentin is jealous

Curtis knows Valentin is out and about in Port Charles

Brook and Chase get approved to foster baby Phoebe

Jordan made it through surgery but still only has one kidney and hasn't regained consciousness 

Krissy gets misty eyed when talking to Jacinda.

Ava... well, Ava missed Trina's song but says hello then goes to 'comfort' Jenz. *double sigh*

Cody takes care of Molly after her procedure. 

SO, there you go!! Now, my biggest fear is something is going to happen to Ric and since RH is so good, I won't be able to stand it. I mean, EVERY scene he's in is a gem. Sonny needs his brother and I really like they repaired that relationship (yes, I'm believing that it's true). Again, I realize secrets make a soap but geeze Louise, so many have gone on so long it just gets muddled. Looks like Stella is on again next week (yeah).  I want Laura to have more to do than walk around concerned about Sidwell. I feel like the next step for her is having coffee ready in the kitchen while the young people stop by to tell her their troubles!! If you're a soap vet, you know what I'm talking about!! 

I guess it's time to end this little summary and get out into the sunshine! Like I said, it will be The Metro Pool time before we know it.
