Sunday Surgery: CHEERS!

SIBLING BLTs! 

So much happened this week, I really couldn't pick one theme but everyone on the show seemed to want a Bobbie's BLT so here we are!! Hope you had as much fun as I did watching. 

I wish I had a sandwich myself this morning but coffee will have to do! Let's GO GO! 

If you didn't catch the Daytime Emmys, General Hospital pretty much swept the important categories (see post below). Congratulations to all. We all have to admit that soaps are work-horses when it comes to ANYTHING else out there. I'm happy to see our show get some kudos. 

WHO DONE IT?  So, let's recap: The gun is found in Elizabeth's house but we aren't sure how it go there. Did Michael plant it? Is that a red-herring and Willow really did have it? Was it a double-switch because SHE planted it back at the Qs and then Michael found it? Did either one EVEN DO IT?? It's delicious at this point. They both hate each other so much now, all bets are off. Then again, I go back to Drew having himself shot. Or just some rando person doing it. The ringtone that Kai and Trina heard has to have something to do with all of this, right?? Who else has "Twinkle Twinkle" on their phone? Willow? Hmmm... 

THE ARRESTS: Glorious SOAPY MESS!! OMG I really thought Carly was going to get it because she was at Liz' house or something. BUT! NOPE! Nina was the one!! "Accessory"! She's like: HUH WHAT?? WHO? ME??!! Yep, you. Then we find out her alibi just unravels because of the video footage that was uncovered. BLOOP! Nina's struggling to plead to a lesser charge and therefore, throwing Willow under the bus and keeping the lie. 

WELP!! Willow got arrested in front of her kids and.... HOO WEE!! That was some soapy mess. Now, would they HAVE to arrest her at that second? NO!! But did I love seeing it? YEP! Michael's face was like: well, here ya go b*tch!!  Drew has a cow when he finds out she was arrested. Martin is going to defend her just for the hearing because he's Drew's attorney. Willow cried A LOT. She's also big on pinning this all on Michael. "Just say you saw him shoot you" she wails to Drew. Hmmm.  Her hug to him was creepy as well. I saw a big ol' hint of a smile in there. Is she playing everyone??? The Monday show looks good because I think there's something surprising coming. (see my speculations below)

NATHAN OR NAW?  Nathan looking and sounding like Nathan 98% of the time. THEN WHAT. He pulls a face, that's what!! This is my one disappointment with this story so far. I'll get to the Anna/Faison stuff soon but I really need more in this department. WAY more with the Britt interactions. WAY more people trying to figure out where the hell he was all these years. I know Spinelli is busy with the kids but do some forensic digging on the computer and see if he left a digital money trail. Anything other than acting like waltzing in is just the way it happens. Ok, well to be fair, on GH it happens all the time so... 

MY QUEEN ANNA: The best part of all of this is the Faison Lore that's being woven into the story. Anna's front and center. She knows Faison. She knows what he can do. Even seeing his brain removed has her second guessing his reach beyond the grave. Stupid Brennan isn't taking her up on her offer and I hope he suffers for it!! You know how I love me some Cesar Faison and this is just taking me right down the rabbit hole (in a good way). 

OVER TO BASEMENT RIC: This was just my cup o' soapy tea!! Come on now. admit you loved it. My only complaint? We didn't see enough of the captivity. RH's mother passed so he took some time off and that's why it was paused. This week was just grand though and I loved it. From Ric's dream about Elizabeth to Outback and Cody finding him. I could do an entire blog on just the faces everyone made during those scenes!! Cody was especially comical with the WTF face the entire time. Then Molly comes in and everyone freezes. Ric says he joined A CULT and Cody found him wandering in the woods. Again. faces? Priceless. I'll show you a few: 

AVA: Oh Ric, is that all you have?

KRISSY: oh, I can see it... 

ALEXIS: UM...SAY WHAT?!! Cult who?!

In the end, the money was transferred back into the account minus Ava's cut and all seems right with the world. Krissy destroyed the car and everyone made peace. Alexis has a little bit of a worry regarding Laura but we will see what happens. She's right though: Ric won't let this rest! He might not spill the beans to Molly but he will be in revenge mode!! I'm here for it. Also? Wild Card Cody!! He knows everything but doesn't want to hurt Molly! Oh the humanity! 

JOSSY AND THE WSB:  OH!! We even got Jason telling Carly about Joss and her being a spy!! Squee!! This was surprising because in soap-time it happened in a nano-second. Also: her face. Lordy she didn't know if she should be upset or angry or anguished. Laura Wright did a great job with all of them. First she didn't know Jason went to Croatia, then she didn't know about Vaughn NOW no one told her about Josslyn until now!! AHAHAHA. "ANNA DEVANE KNEW"?? Yeah Carly, she IS law enforcement and former WSB..so she knew.  I also liked the beauty of Carly not confronting Joss in the moment. She was trying desperately to get her to tell her but Joss was just not going to let that slip. She did say she found purpose after "Easter Island" and Carly tried to accept it. NOW Jack is walking into the kitchen and we don't know if she'll fake it or cut him up with a steak knife!! 

TRACEY AND RONNIE: I'm thinking Betty and Veronica here. Don't know why, I just get that vibe! Tracey's busy trying out get Ronnie out and Ronnie's busy talking to the family and acting sketchy. She shares a scene with Gio at Bobbie's. He's working there now. Brook Lyn arranged a tea party that will be on Monday. It could be good, not sure yet. Ronnie acted very upset at the thought of having one. Hmm..interesting. 

SIDE OF SIDWELL: I just want to mention that Sidwell/Drew scene.  It was SO GOOD. I loved Sidwell having something over on Drew. The fact the congressman got into bed with this guy in the fist place was bad enough but now? Blackmail and "You'll do what I say" is going to be great. Drew needed someone to get right in his face. Sidwell was my guy!! (Great accent as well!) 

WEEK IN A WUBSHELL: 

Outback smells Ric in the basement and Cody rescues him!

Molly thinks he joined a cult and the ladies get their money

Ronnie and Gio bond

Brook Lyn plans a tea party to introduce Ronnie to Port Charles. Tracey sees mischief ahead

Willow is arrested for the attempted murder of Drew Cain

Nina is arrested as an accessory to murder

Trina is told her parents want a divorce 

Nathan wants back on the force. Gives Anna an eerie hug

Britt wants a car, Jason co-signs a loan

Carly finds out Josslyn is WSB. So far, she hasn't told anyone

Trina and Kai go back over the crime scene. Remember the Twinkle Twinkle ring tone

WUBSY SPECULATIONS:  Now, on the Drew shooting front, I keep going back and forth. Willow? Michael? Scout? Yuri? Some rando guy...Drew setting all this up. I DON'T KNOW and I love it. Ezra? Hmmm.. Willow seems to be the most logical pick but she sure is good at acting innocent. Well, until you see one of those weird-smiles!   My speculation is NINA will stand up in court and say: I DID IT! It's the Leslie Webber/Mildred Pierce trick. I'm also thinking the Faison Project will be deliciously twisty and I'm hoping against hope it's executed well. I'm thinking an Aiden recast is coming. Portia will pretend the baby is Curtis'?? Not sure what's happening on this front. 

CHEERS!! Have a great week. My kitchen floors are being redone and I'm not sure how much access I'm going to have to the den lol. I'll have to use CC if I do watch!! I'd go to my son's but he doesn't even GET ABC... (Kids nowadays :eyeroll:) but I'll try my best.
