Sunday Surgery: 9 To 5

 

Hopefully short and sweet (like me) this week because I'm busy busy!! Because there wasn't a lot of spy-action, I actually enjoyed much of it!! 

Grab some fruit or carbs or whatever you like and have a seat.  Let's GO GO!

The good-bye tour started for Maxie and everyone did a fantastic job. Kristina Wagner deserves all the kudos and claps for her performance which was raw and real. When James walked in with Mac and Cody, I lost it. Lulu played a huge role because of their friendship but also because she was in a coma. Maxie did her nails. Is she flying to Boston to do hers? 

Maxie takes the elevator ride that Lulu took. She's off to Nashville...I mean BOSTON for treatment. KS has said she's back in December and I guess we shall see! 

Thankfully, the FIVE POPPIES wasn't  on for two days so I could enjoy the show more. I'm so sick of these cider block sets attached to a resort (see Lucky's entire come back) and then rescue. There is absolutely NO tension in anything. The lighting, the music, the dialog is just so flat. Do we care what Britt is working on? NOPE. Do I care that Joss gave up the supposed combo? Nope. Throw away the key. Thanks!! PS. we know Britt's going to call St. Jaysus on the burner phone if PJ Man hasn't found it yet. :eyeroll:

If you've never seen 9 to 5, go watch it. I'm getting such fun vibes off of this story!! Everyone involved seems to be relishing it and come on--Ava has a ball-gag in her glove compartment? Of COURSE she does. This is soap camp done right. No, I don't know how Ric goes to the bathroom nor do I care.  I love that Alexis figured out a way to get everyone's money back and keep Ric quiet. Heh. 

GH threw caution to the wind (Sort of) and had Portia give in to her desires for Isaiah. Ok, maybe it was revenge sex but it did harken back to the days of rampant affairs on soaps. We all thought it was going to be Jordan and Curtis (hell, they were even in her apartment drinking champagne!) but nope! Portia threw her fit because Curtis was TALKING to Jordan in the hall about...Stella. (giggle). Okayyyy. I do want Isaiah with someone else but this little pause was fine. 

It's good that the Judge had on her wild print so we knew it was her floating at the docks. I really wanted one "YO BRO" out of the kids but alas, they acted like old men again. Anyway, you know Sidwell did this ...and...yeah. That's all I have. 

DEAD DREW WALKING: Like 55 thousand anvils falling upon our heads, we saw multiple characters threaten his life. It's a line stretching to Beecher's Corners by now. Who will do it? Will they succeed? Will HE be in a coma and wake up all nice? Current bets are on Kai offing him. I think Trina has another plan though, maybe to expose him to DC? (not that they'd care!!) I still think he has a microchip in his head from days gone by and that's what is driving all of this. Anyway, I'm liking CM's performance and over the top mean spirit. Soapy. 

ALSO RANS: 

Willow's complete idiocy and "logic" about Drew. I mean, come on--she's willing to be with him for her KIDS. If you saw her face you know she's way over the edge of reality. 

Portia not being able to get her ring off. Isaiah should have put his mouth over it and taken it HEH

Lucas talking to Liz about living with Ava, drinking wine and watching reality TV 

Tracey and Martin: ONE STEP CLOSER!! 

Cody and Ava... Molly catches them and Cody actually tells the truth. This causes Ava to go and hit Ric on the head. Hilarity ensues. As for Moly and Cody? We know they'll get there but how long? 

Dante had some Daddy scenes with Gio in the church because it was Camilla's birthday. Why Gio is mad at Dante is anyone's guess at this point. 

QUESTIONS:  Where's Avery? No one even mentions her. We had to listen to YEARS of custody BS and... I'm not even sure who she lives with at this point. No use even mentioning Charlotte. (Although LULU did say she was watching Bailey --another unseen kid) 

If Ezra is a baddie and he's only on every 3 weeks, do we care? Also: Professor WHO? 

Kai got his balloon popped. 

RUMORS AND SPECULATION: 

My speculation on Drew: He might go missing. Things point to a murder but no body. That gives CM a way back in and no one goes to jail? Hmm.. 

Rumor: Monica will die on screen soon, prompting the wave of memorials. I'm not sure they'll have anything for Denise Alexander just yet. Tristan Rogers? I'm saying closer to the holidays. He'll either call and resign from his DA position or pass off camera. 

That's it! SAVE STELLA!! I do like having Vernee on as much as possible. This next week kicks off school for me and we'll see how my schedule goes. Doing a podcast tonight that will be out later. I'll let you know when it's up!
