Julie Marie Berman is OUT at General Hospital

SID has announced that Julie will be leaving General Hospital and filmed her last scenes today---
She will be REALLY MISSED by cast, crew and fans alike. This is her choice and she wants to go pursue "Other Things". I am so sorry for Lante fans as well. There are some recast specs out there so pick up this week's magazine when it hits stands!

  1. I wish her the best..She was adorable in the Hallmark movie of A little Women's Christmas.

  2. I am so sad :-( I really liked her as Lulu. She has really grown into the role. I think she is great paired with Dante. It's not often there is that "magic" with two coworkers.

I wonder who they will replace her with? I think RC will get a OLTL person to do it. Bree Williamson would make a good Lulu.

  3. Wow! Seems a recast is in order given the baby s/l. Many fans liked Jen Lilly when she filled in for KS as Maxie. She might be a good choice for a recast.

  4. It's really too bad she's leaving because she was so perfectly cast as Lulu. She really looked like she could be Luke and Laura's daughter. That said, I could accept Jen Lilley as a recast because I miss seeing her on the show.

  5. Plus, who don't want to see Jen Lilley and Kirsten Storms in a scene together :)

  6. Oh, bummer!

Julie was the perfect casting for L&L's child. She strongly resembles Genie, even echoes some of her mannerisms, and she is a very talented actress. Plus she's beautiful.

I don't see how they can find another actress who could be so good as L&L's daughter--and here we have Genie back and no Lulu.

Sad for the show and for Lulu/Dante fans....

  7. I am sad I liked her
recasts take to long to get used to and I am unsure how they will find someone with chemistry with Dominic Zamprogna like they had with Julie
I do wish her luck though

  8. This is a blow for the show, not doubt. Berman has been great in the role and will be missed.

I would not be opposed to Jen Lilly coming in though. That's a pretty good idea!

  11. Jen Lilley wd be good, to see the 2 Maxis in a scene. Claudia and Carly was never fully exploited.

JMB started well, but the last few years she phoned it in. Good time to recast.

In a year or 2 she'll be back, if GH is still around.

  13. I'm sorry to see her go - she was the perfect daughter of Luke and Laura and she is a good actress. She hasn't always had the best material. No Jen Lilley for me - she is too grating. Lots of unemployed daytime actresses out there and I hope they make a good choice.

  14. I want to see Alexa Havins back on my screen - loved her as Babe on AMC - she'd make a cute Lulu!

  15. I read the interview in SID and Julie confirmed that they are recasting the part of Lulu but that it was her idea to leave since last July when her contract was up in NOV. RC/FV convinced her to stay until March so they can figure out what to do.But she said she was in control of the situation except how Lulu was leaving and the recast.

  16. I hate that she left but, I just not can believe they wasted her staying with no storyline at all for her and Dante.

  17. Why oh why? I don't want anyone else to play Lulu. I love Dante and Lulu together.

  18. I also was thinking of JL for the role--at least we know what a good actress she is, and she is the right age, with the right "look."
