Sunday Surgery: OH SOLO GIO

 

Shortie with just some talking points today. Tough week but getting back into the show helped a tiny bit.  If a week was boring, this was it. We could have combined all that happened into 1 hour. Seriously. 

I have a nice shaken expresso with cold foam! I'm ready so let's Go Go! 

BEERS:  Using that Brown Dog Pub a lot right??  Also, did you notice the "Garage Cafe" Set? That was used for either Quebec or Montreal or Prague? There are about 90 places to eat in PC! Sets are expensive!! And we never see Charlie's which cracks me up since Krissy owns it and Lucky "works" there. 

ENOUGH:  Laura, Sonny and the ESPANADIO.  I mean... Laura throwing the water in Ezra's face was fun but other than that? I don't care about Sonny's angst. The heart thing just went on too long and it sure didn't even have a dramatic payoff imo. 

SLEW-LU: Carly and Lulu Two Shrews in a Shell: Ok, Carly is the rational one here but still, 2 peas. Anyway, Lulu is totally soapy in this situation but the presentation? Lordy. Shrill and driving me insane. She even spilled the entire thing to Cody who had thought Brook got an abortion. 

Tracey/ Jason Combo: I LIKE IT. Steve and Jane? Gold. That's all I have to say about that. I don't care what they are talking about, I'm watching! 

WORD OF THE WEEK: Great Grandson. Edward would approve. 

THE INTERNSHIP:  NuEmma....great actress.  I do like Eden too and think they play off each other well. Her going through his office was premature at best. You don't do that first thing, girl! I'm not even a damn spy!!  BTW, we've seen this Dalton guy what? Four times total? Maybe? Great way to start out a big arc story. :eyeroll: 

MOUTH OF THE NORTH;  Yep, Carly's obsession with all things stupidly Willow and Michael are coming to a head. Seems like they have to go to court and she won't even tell Michael so SHE'S going for custody. Um, don't you need like... I don't know, power of attorney? Something? If he was in a COMA maybe but WTF it's 2025 and they can Zoom this!! I don't get it. ANY OF IT. Oh and a bigger thing? I do not care. That's the real crux of it. Yep. 

THE NOTE:  Best part of the show was Alexis finding the car (yeah!! Spinelli was on!!) and then it being gone with a note saying: What are you looking for? I would have written: PSYCHE on it but that's me. Lucky got a scene outside of his usual 3 people which was astounding. Didn't last long though! 

NURSES BALL  Love the Ladies... especially the ones MY AGE! Damn. (I never looked like that even in my 20s LOL) The Nurses Ball can be hit or miss. People complain when it's cut and complain when it airs so.. it is what it is. 

SHOUT OUT TO WARDROBE: Give Curtis' people a raise.  I loved Carly's shift with the leather accents. Tri always looks good but I loved that lilac top she had on.  Collage kids looking like college kids. Of course, Laura and Brook Lyn continue with the long black pants, blazers and red blouses. *sigh*

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED/NEED TO KNOW: 

Even after Dante "forgave" everyone he still had to rant about Gio because...you know. :eyeroll:

Emma lost the internship to crafty Joss. 

We got to see everyone rehearse for the Nurses Ball 

Carly is such a fk up when it comes to everything. Now she has to go to court to get HER grandkids 

Cody and Lulu are on the hunt to see if Gio is really Dante and Brook's child

Cutis thinks Portia is being blackmailed.

Surprisingly, Ava tells  Portia to come clean to Curtis

Ezra gets wet when Laura blows up

Sonny's thinking of selling the pier to big bad Sidwell 

Alexis finds a note instead of the car 

No one cares if Kai makes it to the Nurses Ball, not even Stella 

Elizabeth gets some visitors

Isaiah seems to be Willow's BFF therapist now

Everyone knows who Gio is but Gio, Brook Lyn and Dante 

COMING: Looks like an EPIC Nina Carly slap next Monday. Nina must be furious about the custody thing? I don't know. Don't care. Just get the soapy slap going. 

MY TWO CENTS: Could be this week was a super-bore because they are busy with the Nurses Ball. All I know is that the 2 weeks I had GH was about 3 weeks ago and zzzzzzz since. If it weren't for NLG's scenes and Jane Elliot, I don't know if I could even watch. I don't care about: Kai, The Esplanade, Laura's running for Mayor, the custody hearing, what Dalton is doing or violin boy. That's pretty sad. The things I DO care about are muddled into long scenes with droning dialog over and over again. The Drew/Ketamine story should have been GOLD but now? I've heard "body shots" 700x in the past 4 days. 

WHY IS SHE WRITING FOR THE LLANVIEW BANNER ANYWAY? 

Here's my biggest comment:  The adoption story is teetering on near disaster for me. First of all, it's gone on about 6 months too long and secondly, it's just not been told great. I'm sick of people piling on Brook about her decision and making her question herself. Also, the questioning of Lois? She was doing what her daughter wanted. Now, giving Gio to a family member and keeping that secret? It's a whole different ball game. Also: CODY is now into all of this? He thought she got an abortion. Why bring him in at this late of a date? I don't get it. I don't get most of it to be honest. Having Dante all of a sudden not like Gio and thinking he was 'spoiled his whole life' is absurd. Yes, I get the angst that needed to be created but--just overkill. 

I know we'll have big things happen at the Nurses Ball. They always do. I'm almost hoping Drew just Ketamine's the whole town and people hook up randomly.
