I was here all this week! That hasn't happened in awhile. I'm still on my "lackluster" tour when it comes to the show but there were a few highlights to go over.
Grab anything you want, just make it shareable! I need some snacks. Let's GO GO!
You know it's going to be a hard week to write about when you have to go back into your old blogs to see what happened!! So much filler this week. I think I'm going to save us all a lot of trouble and just report the stuff I think you need to know. You might be done in record time!! Photo credit: Sloan Rush
ARISE! Ok, we all saw what we saw. Maxie in her mascara, nicely bleached hair and not one sign of a six-month coma, just waking up and scolding James about wearing a helmet. I thought: wait, SURELY this is a dream? NOPE!! I guess everyone just said: get her up and out. Don't even waste time on a feeding tube, IV or anything else. Get her up, talking and looking glam-jam asap. My favorite parts of these scenes were James, Spinelli and Felicia. All did a fine job. Of course on the other end of the horizon is the hastily put together Nathan and Lulu. Sure they were friends but I didn't get that "spark" anywhere during this whole thing. Now Lulu's all verklempt on her feelings for that 7 year dead man. I only care about Spinelli in this situation. Period.
WHO'S THE DADDY: Probably the biggest reveal besides the awakening was Portia's finding out who the baby daddy is-- and it's not who she wants!! Nope! I knew once she and Isaiah were all lovey-dovey that that kid was NOT his. This not only throws a wrench into Curtis and Portia, it also affects Jordan and Isaiah. Changes the whole family dynamic. AND we'll get endless scenes about custody!! Cue Ava/Sonny 2.0.
ALL THE LEAVES ARE BROWN: Emma's California dreamin' and leaves to go see her mama to tell her about Anna's 'breakdown". Now one of two things are going to happen: either we WILL see Kim Mc come in for a cameo and they'll work on the whole thing or......Emma's just gone for awhile. I sure hope she's back soon because I was just getting into the whole character and Gio and yada yada.
LUCK-LESS LUCAS: Another development this week was Lucas overhearing Marco and his father talking about the manipulation of Britt. Given they are fighting a bit on Monday, this could be an interesting development. Will Lucas be held in Wyndemere too? What will Marco DO?? Will Spy-Joss swoop in?? Ok, stop laughing.
CASSADINE LORE: So, Alexis and Danny sat down to talk about the Charlotte-Connection and on the one hand it was a good lesson in history and on the other, it just baffled me. Alexis made it sound like Victor was born in the 1800s and was SO far removed. Um.. he was Mekkos' brother--? Guess what I decided: I DO NOT CARE. Nope. This show needs more teens if it's going to get serious about relationships anyway. Georgie is hopefully more in the picture now and they REALLY should bring Jake back. Where's Aiden?
SPINNING WHEELS: (other things that happened)
Pascal saw Lucas peeping on Marco and Sidwell
Lucy and Ava "fight" over Sidwell
Jacinda and Michael are dating
Liz finally gets out of her scrubs and is in a dress
Chase is starting life as a patrol officer
Brook and Lulu spar over Lulu's feelings for Nathan
Marco watches Britt inject herself (we finally see the lab)
Dante has to decide if he wants to be police commish or not.
Felicia gives Jason Anna's message about Faison
Joss confides in Jason about the book and cigs
WUBSY SUGGESTIONS:
Valentin needs to get THE FK out of that attic.
Get Brad working in that lab in Wyndemere as well. He has connections to Sidwell via his Aunt and then he can be in there with Britt AND maybe help save Lucas.
Just have Brook and Chase start the damn adoption process already. It takes eons anyway and hey, Gio's going to be what? Thirty before you're 'ready'? They need to foster a troubled bad-boy type teen. So much soapy angst can be generated from bad-boy teens!!
Kristina/Michael/Jacinda triangle or none of this is interesting.
OBSERVATIONS: Time is moving slower than molasses lately. We are also jumping around again and leaving little holes that eat up our time and patience. What was the single most interesting thing that's happened? DREW TRAPPED IN HIS OWN BODY ! Who didn't we see ONCE this week? Guess. I'm also just not digging the Brennan-Cullum-Sidwell story because it's just SO jumbled up. It has been jumbled since day one and it's not getting any better. NOW we find out Steve Burton has decided to "take a break" right when he's knee deep in everything. :SIGH: Ok buddy, do what you have to do. Can you give your airtime to Bradford? Thanks.
Ava and Lucy doing the Sidwell dance? I don't get it--how is that going to do anything for the whole situation? That's Laura and Sonny's plan? Come on now. Jordan was supposed to be an intracule part of all of this and... nada. The lab set up took forever and Cullum is falling like a lead balloon.
That said, it's easy to be an armchair 'writer' when you don't know the whole comings and goings on the set! I do still love watching and sometimes just need to remind myself that it's for my entertainment, not something that's uber serious!
THE MOST FUN? This was spotted during the end credits on Friday. AHAHAHA. You think some interns were like: Let's just put our names in and see if anyone notices!!?
That's it!! I'm off next week for winter break and I'm going to my Dad's again. Here's hoping I can watch the show and give you some blogs. I plan on tuning in Monday but might be on the road Tuesday. Either way, enjoy the show!
CHEERS!
Maxie at least looks like Felicia. I agree. If we know longer have Steve B and Finola, give their time to someone else. I agree that Bradford Anderson should get that time. I used to be a Nathan and Maxie fan, but I say NO to a reunion of those 2 now.
ReplyDeletePS. I love that picture of Felicia and Anna
DeleteOMG I love that photo as well!! I was out just looking around and saw it :)
