Sunday Surgery: Dog Gone Cameos!

 

What a HUGE WEEK for this GH Fan!! WOW!! SO many people on we haven't seen in a long, long time...and DOGGIES!! Just loved it. Frank must have had a ton of money left over this year to splurge! 

GH is up in demos so let's keep this train a rollin!!

THE QUARTERMAINES:  Let's start with our fave family, shall we? Ned came home from the hospital to be greeted by Olivia and LEO. Yes, THAT'S OUR LEO!! Thank goodness he was spotted because I was afraid they put him in boarding school or the dreaded GH "attic"!!! Chase made a lovely turkey that survived but Brook was still scared to eat it due to the family "curse". So, they packed it up and took it over to share with the hospital staff. Aww, tis' what Monica would have loved. Tracey sent pizzas ahead because she knew they'd need them. Gio also showed up with Emma and fences seem to have been mended (with this side of the family anyway!) 

TALE AS OLD AS TIME:  Father son angst--and these 2 have it in spades!! Dante is just so mean and hard-headed about Gio and can't let that go. He sees Rocco on a bad path but as Sonny pointed out, he's a teen and he's going to make mistakes no matter what. I guess we should be glad Dante didn't shoot him, right Sonny? (IYKYK!!) 

WILLOW CANE IS YOUR NAME: Virgil Cane? Anyone?  SO!! YES! Wills married Drewpy. What a small, sad ceremony. Not even Dr O showed up! Nina and Alexis looked sick, Scout looked about as excited as a wet hen and well, even Willow didn't REALLY want to be there. She admitted to Nina that she was marrying Drew just to get out of her charges and to get her kids back. Kate played this really well  because around Drew, her light shown just enough to convince him--but other times, she was not showing any emotion. OH!! And guess who showed up at the window and scared Wubsy? MICHAEL!! I can't figure out if he still secretly loves her--or hates her so much he would have bounded in and strangled her right there. Good scene. 

MEANWHILE:  WELP! Auntie Stella dropped that Portia is preggers and Trina and Kai overheard. Trina was SHOCKED. Guess what? She also just saw her father kissing Jordan AND him getting hauled to the PCPD for questioning of Drew's shooting!! What's a girl to do? Well, go to her apartment and get busy with Kai, that's what. I SO hope they recast his character. There, I said it. 

HOLY WU-WU TO YOU TOO: Just about fell off my damn chair. MS WU IN THE FLESH in a flashback with Curtis! He actually reached out to her to have Drew killed!! Now, it never happened because he didn't pay her but still!! That was a nice surprise!! First, love a devious Curtis and second, they were partners in the Savoy so it was just a good use of history. Curtis didn't tell Nathan about all this but he did tell Jordan. She'll stand by her man and sealed it with a kiss. 

OVER AT THE MAYORS: KEVIN is home!! OUR Kevin shows up at the door with flowers!! Aw, nice surprise too. I think he said something on his IG but I didn't see it. So hooray!! Laura spilled everything to him including involving Sonny. Kevin left for a patient and Sidwell showed up. He has PHOTOGRAPHIC evidence that Laura and Sonny were with the body and ergo, wants her cooperation. Laura's not happy when he threatens Ace. Then, the dreams begin. Hang on to your hats!! 

GHOSTS OF HOLIDAYS PAST:  Laura goes to the door and who's there? CYRUS!! Looking every bit alive as before. It's a dream of course but for a split second I thought: Are they bringing him back!!? Maybe he'll prey on Laura like the Snuffalupogus and no one else will see him but her!! He starts asking her about dinner and the blessing and oh yeah, didn't you find a body? Maye you should turn yourself in since you told me to take responsibility for MY life. He also has the gun that killed Dalton. Laura is horrified when... just then...OL ESME!!! Walks down those stairs. I yelled a little!!!  She had a beef with Laura too!! Ghosts telling Laura how she said things to them that she's now abandoning. Avery and Jeff both did a great job. Good to see GF with him again for sure. 

CAT FIGHT!! Well, almost a cat fight because we didn't get to see the good parts. See Ava told Portia that Nina threw her under a bus to help Willow and Portia took BIG ISSUE with that. HOW dare she try to help her daughter by falsely making up medical results...OH WAIT!! Sorry, that was the pot. Anyhoo, They get into it in the Brown Dog's bathroom and Portia is NOT having it. I'm hoping this all leads to the outing of the Isaiah zex soon. 

GOOD SCENE: I wanted to point this scene out because I thought it was done really well. I liked the dialog that Spin had about Maxie being in a 'holding pattern' and where the outcomes could lead. Good friendship talk. 

JUST SHOOT ME:  Jason and Britt...sigh. I WANT to like them, I really do. I love Kelly and Steve together so I should, right? They played that scene perfectly imo. Her being drunk, him all protective, the fall and the finding of the medication? Loved it. In a way it harkened back to soap 101. Since I'm basically OG Soap 101, it pleased me! 

PRISON BREAK:  YEP!! It's VALENTIN!! I was so hoping that was him when Carly was hearing things!! Squee!! I LOVE them working together and I guess because it's so unexpected. PLUS she hasn't even told Jason OR Sonny! WOWZA-- that's a first!! Val is looking mighty ZEXY with his cuts/bruises. Also: Brennan will never think of looking for him around Carly! WOOT! Now-go GET ANNA, will you!!? 

OTHER THINGS:

Felicia, Spinelli and the kids visited Maxie in Boston, Fe tells Lucas to try to get along with Carly.

That was a lot of things!! I really had such a good week watching the show. Plenty of family, movement and surprises to keep me entertained!! It feels like the soaps of my younger days. I hope it keeps up for a long long time.
