I REFUSE TO COMMENT ON GH because I just can't. That's what it's come to. I'm just not commenting today. I seriously think they skipped an entire show when they ran yesterday's. Dante all of a sudden in the apt--we didn't see Lulu find him. Did the burlger knock him out? Did he call the cops? Did he just faint? I missed it--totally. LOL
Kate and Sonny--didn't see the scene she's talking about. They also change clothes 3x-- We didn't see Scrubs thanksgiving meal--Matt in his hat, then Robin mentions Emma making them. Nothing on the Q's.
I can't stand shoddy stuff like this. There's no excuse SOOOOOOOOOO I'm taking a break today! I bet you're happy!

Hahahaha! Olivia reminds me of my Italian mother when she is worried. :) I love my mom and I love Olivia. :) Dante asks Lulu why she took a cab to the hospital and not her car. Well Dante, Lulu has been making love to the alcohol so she can't drive her car!

I have decided to not watch GH anymore. I will come to read the blog because I love Karen's blog and commentary. Unfortunately, I find the show to be too dark and depressing. I actually watched today and came away feeling so depressed that I decided its not good for me. I also learned that my favorite character, Liz, will be placed in shadybrooke like Laura, probably to meet Dr.Ewing but it's a continued character bashing storyline. Lulu is going to be attacked probably in her drunken state ( spoiler from GHH ) and I have no desire to see another rape/assault storyline. Jasam and Skate are like watching paint dry and I could care less what happens to them. More characters are leaving but the mob stays. GH you've lost me for good.

"Insiders close to the series tell me that the ABC higher-ups still have hopes for Pan Am, however, they simply have "too many good shows" that are working right now so Pan Am will get a shortened freshman season. But the insiders say, it could very likely come back next fall or even late summer."

Oh that's great news!!!!!!!!!!! :)I bet it gives people who grew up in the 50's and 60's alot of nostalgia. :) Damn I wish I grew up in the 50's and/or 60's. :) I was born in 1974. :) I was an 80's child. :)
I remember other writers saying Garin Wolf tends to write dark stories. They were right. Spinelli being the killer would not surprise me as they are destroying any characters that are liked. I wouldn't be surprised if they make him Georgie's killer since he's to be completely unaware that he is a killer. Though, if Mac is the killer, then that would be beyond dark. Wouldn't be surprised as it's clear that they don't care anymore. They write becsause they have to and the higher-ups give them limiting boundaries because of the actors that have contracts. Perhaps jax will be brought back as the killer to completely destroy him.

ReplyDeleteThe DVR played Ellen instead. It started out with Lulu cooking and showed Sonny telling Kate to wake up and the q's were actually having a traditional feast per Edward and Michael was there....I have no clue what happened after that since the DVR snufu. Bummed!!!
I didn't see GH yet today, well actually pieces of it like Lulu, Dante, Olivia and Steve, Robin and Patrick, and Liz, Lucky and the kids, but I was distracted with phone calls...maybe I will watch on Soapnet. At least Lulu had the brains to take a cab if she was drinking. It isn't often the writers allow the women of Port Chuck to use their noggins effectively!

I totally agree with the depressing state of the show. The show makes me want to watch Barney and Friends afterwards so I cheer up! I see so many other depressing storylines coming...

Have Lulu get assaulted...just like mom and just like several women on this show. If they are trying to do an acoholism story with Lulu, they are failing badly at it. It doesn't make someone a pathetic drunk to take a drink once in a while to unwind if they are stressed. We haven't seen her staggering around yet, slurring her words and drinking to the extent Luke was. I just wish the writers would stop pushing the point that there's got to be this magical Spencer connection with parent and child.

ReplyDeleteRobin was great yesterday in her scene on the bridge, yes, this is all so sad that it is depressing me.
Spin being a serial killer? That does make some sense, but only if he was unaware of it, as he is so sweet. (Actually, it makes no sense, but, if someone has to be a serial killer, no one else makes any sense at all.)
Lulu would have just called Steve, but they had to show that she couldn't drive due to drinking, and that Dante noticed, so that, great detective that he is, he later will connect the dots about her drinking. Also, in Soapland, people show up all the time at people's houses when you or I would call, c'mon, I can't be the only one who has noticed this, it's a way to give the characters air and face time.
Anyone else want Robin to focus on her fam today instead of Stone? Sorry i just don't buy it. Once or twice showing her remember is one thing but putting patrick thru the ringer a year ago and now the bridge spoiler I'm just kind of finished with it. Although it will give us a mac & robin scenes, yes.

ReplyDeleteI freaked out for a moment too, but if you read Angs's description the show they are describing is unmistakably the show that aired the day before Thanksgiving. Lulu left in search of Dante at the end of the show on Wednesday; she hadn't been cooking since before Dante left. Kate went shopping while Sonny waited with breakfast, wondering why she wasn't "waking up" when he called for her. Whatever happened with the DVR, that was Wednesday's show. The show we all feel we missed just never happened. =(

I think Spin being the serial killer will be a red herring... Not sure yet, but other things are in the mix. People on the set aren't talking too much, but they know the show's days are numbered.

Quite honestly I can't be bothered to watch GH. The damage has been done...I have no hope that GH is going to be saved. Obviously the network does not want soaps! The writing on this show is horrible! I am even more angry that they chased off KM and JJ..I will be so upset if Robin dies with no Anna or Robert showing up. I do believe they at purposely trying to get rid of GH...however I just can't watch all of this doom and gloom. Also using a storyline like this even with a psycho Franco is just disgusting. This is definitely not geared towards women.
