LUKE pets BOB the Badger!!
Ok, is it me or is GH darker than normal lately? I mean the LIGHTING, not the "Material". Good Lord, it's just making me think my TV is abnormal. Forget about Ethan in Wyndemere. I'm just glad that FauxLasha has a white gown on or we'd never see her!
This week we have a new doctor to talk about!! Yep-- Steven calls her in from Tennessee and spends his time scowling at her, yelling, acting all upset and --??? Why did you call her in the first place, dude? Robin doesn't like her "ROGUE" methods...imagine using the LAB out of turn!!! She eludes to doing something with another baby in Memphis--taking them to another hospital to treat them. Whatever. She looks so much like Lisa it's too weird of a coincidence. OR IS IT? Hell, she looks like RentAMaxie and NuKate as well.
Dead RINGER?? Newbie Maggie--Lisa Clone
Of course, the let down of the week for me was not having the Luke/Laura 30th wedding anniversary be about that day-- and yes, I realize she's not on the show anymore but some dang flashbacks would have been nice. Then again, the entire Spencer house was burned to the ground, not sure what I expected. Luke in a car driving for an hour to get to GH, Lucky in a plane talking to his dead wife and Ethan in Wyndemere talking to a painting isn't my idea of a good story. Luke's drinking/conscience angst has been done to DEATH. ENOUGH we get it.
It's been a long week. I laugh so much when I think of Olivia and that PG test. It's like it evaporated. She was fainting all over the place. Then, she's just sitting at the Metro Court blabbin' with Kate about SONNY yet AGAIN and their Bensonhurst love life from High School. Um, honey, you may either be pregnant or have a giant brain tumor, get on that will ya?
Ok, Liz is laying in her hospital bed, getting reamed out by Monica-- because Monica is SO good and pure :eyeroll: and then when her kid is finally diagnosed, the doctor tells EVERYONE BUT HER! Ummm, isn't that a privacy issue? They could have at least wheeled her out to the dang hallway.
I have a sad feeling we are going to watch Lulu vacillate for EONS over this engagement. Should I or shouldn't I?? If you look back at Sam and Jason--you'll hear it there. Oh, and Brenda did it with Sonny too-- Carly was always doing it. Making a decision is tough for these ladies because their men are in SO MUCH DANGER!!!
Monica and Jason
SCENE OF THE WEEK: The Lakehouse with Alexis, Molly and then Sonny and Ethan. Just loved it. Good conversations, and it felt light-hearted. Oh, and the LIGHTS were on too!! You could see!
NOT THE SCENE OF THE WEEK: Michael in the coffee warehouse, squabbling with his Mom over Thanksgiving and yelling at Dante about the strippers being beat up. UGH.
PROP OF THE WEEK: Cupie doll on Luke's dash... you know I loved it!
With OLTL going all dark, filming no more--we can only imagine what it would be like if/when it happens to GH. Sad week all around. A great soap, worthy of it's increased ratings and kudos is gone. Yes, if we are lucky, it may pop up again on the net--but it will never be exactly the same. The NYC studio wasn't leased out to Prospect Park, so that's gone. *sigh* I still say SoapNet was such a wasted opportunity. So much potential.
For what it's worth, check out the spoilers for Turkey week. We'll have a Q feast, Carly and Shawn-- and Sonny/Kate go to Bensonhurst. By the way, there is a New Year's Eve celebration coming.
