SO: it was 30 Years and We Get..

DUAL Lukes-- and COME ON DUAL LUCKYs with SIOBHAN?

Why didn't they just rerun the damn wedding? I would have loved it. Not talking about Luke's drinking. I couldn't even see the scene in the car.

I DID LOVE THE CUPIE DOLL!! best part of the show..although a lobster would have been more fun!! By the way, the hospital must have been about 50 miles away. GEESH And the "crash" Sorry, laughed.  It took him FOREVER to get there.

Lucky on the plane..conversin' widt OYRISH. Hmmmm. Um.. Okay.  I'm tired of the depression, and other than "live your life" I didn't really get the point. Plus Lucky should have asked her why she sent him to Ireland to send him BACK HOME. OY!

This Ethan thing is going to be so predictable..he's going to fall in love with Laura's look alike, who may or may not be a ghost. LOL. We did see her FEET. Maybe Nikolas got an operation and is back as his own MAMA? ahahha. Sorry.

FILL IN THE BLANK: "Today's Episode was____________________________"

29 comments:

  1. Today's episode was... a break from some of the stories that have dragged on for some time...mob stuff, Franco, Jasam and the honeymoon from heck! A full Spencer clan day today to commemorate Luke and Laura's 30th wedding anniversary! It is hard for me to believe it has been 30 years! Might have been a weird way to celebrate, but at least history got a mention!

The episode contained some great acting/dialog. Lulu was the only one in the family actually talking to another human being (Tracy) while her father and two brothers were talking to their conscience, a ghost (Siobhan) and a painting (Ethan's still fascinated by that painting of Laura...the lady in white came out of the shadows today, well at least part of her.) I liked the scenes overall. I am still confused as to why Ethan would be so fascinated with Laura, but I guess it is a way to bring him into the fold. Since her brothers received their moments of "reckoning" I thought Lulu got a bit shafted. Since her father wasn't wise enough to leave a short note..."I took Aiden to GH" wouldn't have taken long to jot down...Lulu's part in everything was to panic the whole time. After all, Lulu was babysitting and responsible for her nephew, but Luke didn't think that far...Lulu's only role was to worry and blame herself for everything, which is what they have her do best. I was hoping for a good chinwag between her and Tracy about her feelings for her dad, but Aiden's whereabouts was more pressing for the moment, naturally.

Was a nice break from mobular mayhem, Lisa, Franco, etc. Creative way to acknowledge a big day in GH history. Along with Ingo coming back, I am still hanging on to hope that Genie will come back, being that she's getting tons of mentions lately. While I am not really interested in the Lisa stuff and some of the other things going on, they do have my attention with wondering who the mysterious woman at Wyndemere is for now!

  2. Today's episode was.....tedious. A poor attempt at featuring Spencers. No Laura, no mention of anything positive or sweet or romantic, as in THE Wedding.
Just dreary . Luke arguing with Luke ....serving tea? LOL. Oh my. It was so disappointing. I left the room during the Luke-Luke scenes. TPTB are eliminating anything from the 1980's and they diminish the romance of Luke and Laura and have us presented with Luke saying he cheated on Laura all the time, further rewritng history. It is really discouraging.
    And tedious.

  3. Shivon and Lucky: WOW TWO LUCKY'S!!! 2 Johnathan Jackson's! :) YUM! I'll pick one Lucky to have. :) Maybe the one talking? :) Who wants the one sleeping? :) Shivon and Lucky talking Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Wyndemere: Zzzzzzzzzz. Ethan you don't belong there! Go to Australia and meet your father Robert! Oh look the woman in white shows up. Has anybody seen the movie Agnes of God? :) ROFL! The movie popped in my head when the lady in white walked in. Maybe the woman in white and the man in white can have a fling! :)

Luke: WOW TWO LUKE'S! 2 Tony Geary's! :) Boy it's taking a long time for Luke to get to the hospital. Ah well who cares! Luke's inner Luke is talking and making good points! :) Yeah Luke you are making everyone dizzy!! And yes the love of your life was in the funny farm. They are talking about the anniversary of him and Laura!!!! It was quick tho. Hmmm maybe he will talk and think about it more tomorrow? I mean back then the wedding was the 16th and 17th. Oh look a cute Cupie doll! ROFL! Great scene! OH OH CRASH!!!!!

Tracy and Lulu: Oh I guess they didn't hear the whole Luke and Lucky conversation on the answering machine!!!

The hospital: Luke is there but where is Aidan?!! OH NO! :(

No Luke never said that he cheated on Laura all the time. There was no scene where he said that.

  5. Today episode was fucking awful! Today's episode was the worst episode I have seen in my life! Today's episode was showing all the bad parts of GH and the reason it might get canceled! Put a end to this shit please!

NOT TODAY, they didn't mention it---but in the past year or so , it has been said many times that Luke cheated on Laura. Specifically just a few weeks ago he reinforced the idea that Laura KNEW..HAHA> I think its pretty obvious that you have not been watching very long as you don't recall that Ethan showed up and the writers gave us a very contrived scenario in whch Luke Cheated on Laura and he and Holly prdcued ETHAN.
Sorry but TPTB HAVE been changing history. Uness you have watched since 1980, you wouldn't know that.
Today's show was a disappointment, no matter how you look at it...for me,anyway.

  8. They are totally changing history...period. If Laura had been around when Holly came out of the woodwork ok. I mean I LIKE the idea of a HOlly/Luke kid but they should have made it when he thought she was dead. Not that they could have given the timeline but WTH.
OR make him Robert's kid--would have been just as intriguing, Luke would have "taken him under his wing" and He would have been Robin's brother!

I have watched GH since I was a little girl. I wasn't talking about Ethan. You said that Luke cheated on Laura ALL the time. There was no scene that Luke said that.

  10. Although it could have been better (what couldn't be though?) I appreciated an all Spencer day. It does not even the balance of many all-mob days we have been force fed for years, but it was nice to see for a change. Would have been nice to have Bobbie at the hospital when Luke showed up, but guess that would be asking too much.

It doesn't make any sense that Siobhan would tell Lucky to go to Ireland, only to then tell him to turn around and go home. Unless the purpose was to make him believe in "messages from beyond"? I guess it also proved he loved her enough to do what she asked.

  11. I was glad for an entire Spencer day. Enough with the mob, enough with JaSam, enough with Spixie and Steve and Olivia. ENOUGH. I enjoyed today's show.

  12. I thought today's show was creative, and interesting. They gave us a full day of Spencers, and for that I am grateful.

  13. would have liked a "Spencer" day spent talking about the old days (with flashbacks) at Kelly's diner with Bobbie.
That's what I would have liked

  14. Todays episode I FF the entire thing. I saw 2 or 3 Luke's, Sio the friendly ghost on an airplane, and Ethan laying on a nasty couch staring at a portrait of G*D knows who.

I can't say what was said because I FF thru the entire show. But whether Luke mentioned cheating on Laura, he did produce Ethan! Whether Ethan is his or not, Luke must know he cheated. Besides, any man that goes to Aunt Ruby's brothel isn't going there for the food, which means he got himself some of the side.

The show today looked HIDEOUS. Is this what the Guza's said be patient for?

  15. Today's show was awful. Luke and Lucky were talking to themselves while Ethan was talking to a painting? Who thought this would be riveting entertainment? And if they want to honor L&L, they should have changed Ethan's paternity and made it so Luke and Holly were lying to protect Ethan from his father's enemies. Instead, we get Ethan talking to a Laura painting. Zzz. GH is as good as dead.

  16. Ridiculous is the word that comes to mind for me. Luke being an ass and Ethan who has been around for five minutes talking about L & L. I like Ethan, but today should not have been about him. I don't know how many of you remember the wedding (or if you were even born yet!), but it was such an amazing time for GH. GF & AG saved this show back then. Makes this crap even harder to watch.

Sonya is correct. The claim is Luke was unfaithful, which he was.

But this whole notion of the 1980s being rewritten is silly. I've watched since pre-1980, and the whole 1980s was a rewrite: from Luke's rape to Allan and Monica and their two sons to the WSB.

Let's recap: Luke came on as an amoral con man, hitman, and borderline psycho. He raped Laura on the dance floor, and then sheerly because hausfraus liked the pairing, this 'past' of Luke's was forgotten for almost 15 years, then sporadically dealt with.

Geary has long stated this is one of the reasons he disliked Luke Spencer and left the role in the mid-80s. He also has said that he preferred the Bill Eckert character, too. I did also, and they should have kept Bill and left Luke alone.

So, the whole Luke & Laura thing was an artistic sham, as was the early 1990s return years. Geary finally got TPTB to write Luke his way, and I think the character is better for it.

GH has many problems- too much Sonny and Cary- characters that are unrealistic and refuse to grow. It never should have turned Jason into a zombie killer. Sam is a waste- beautiful woman, cannot act. Maxi is the most tedious character on soaps, with none of Erica Kane's redeeming values. The show has destroyed its legacy and continuity w the Scorpios and Webbers. There is no depth in the characters and dialogue. Too many stunts, too few really bad guys: when have we had another Grant Putnam, Kevin O'Connor, Ryan Chamberlain, Heather Webber, Cesar Faison, Manny Ruiz? The best we can do is Lisa Niles?

But, one of the few things being done RIGHT is the Spencer clan- although Siobhan's death was a waste of one of the better actresses. Like her accent or not, but the redhead can act rings around Maxi, Sam, Liz, and other babes her age.

Luke is scum- always has been, always should be. Geary was right to revert him to his original mold. The whitewash was the 80s and 90s.

If you have been watching as long as I have, you KNOW that!

  19. Cos, interesting take on everything, especially the Luke character. Karen, ITA w/what you said, it should have been in Kelly's including Bobbie, w/lots of flashbacks. After all, all of the original Spencers are still on the show, or at least alive and not recast (except when Lulu was SORA'd), so there is a treasure trove of flashbacks that would make the fans so happy (but we know that TIIC don't want us to be happy, they want us to be miserable).

  20. Luke is scum-you have my vote on that one..as a long time viewer myself, I think we have earned the right to say so!!

OK..so I am crabby these days. (More than normal)
But does it really matter what we want for this show?? It is what it is. And nothing is going to change the short amount of time that is left for this show on abc. PP is committed to making OLTL a hit. Every other soap will take a backseat. So there really is no future for GH other than to sit back and FF thru the most 'unbearable' of scenes they throw at us.

Yup!!! That's the claim. Altho for me, I think it's all a lie and that Robert is really Ethan's father. I will forever think that. *folds arms and stomps around* :)

I don't disagree with your theory. However, if that is the case, why is GH monkeying around with Ethan staring at portraits?? Time is wasting Sonya!!!

  23. I haven't watched all of yesterday's GH yet, but I was wondering why Siobhan has so much to tell Lucky but hasn't told him who killed her. Not that Lucky or anyone else is really interested anymore. Nice to see Lucky smile - he is so adorable. Can't take much more of Ethan talking to the painting. Still love the Spencers though and sad that Laura isn't around.

  24. What is Sio telling Lucky?? I ff all of that stuff. Still have no clue who that motherly figure was in Ireland talking to Lucky while he napped.

So let me get this straight: Lucky went to Ireland to sit in a cemetary and nap and dream about Sio?? Now the dream is following him back home?? For how long?????

  25. I haven't watched all of yesterday's GH yet, but I was wondering why Siobhan has so much to tell Lucky but hasn't told him who killed her.

    ++++++++

Linda: the answer is simple- she's a product of Lucky's imagination, not a real ghost. He's a guilt-ridden addict. If Lucky does not know his version of Sio cannot know.

Also, re: the Spencer clan- I forgot Bobbie.

Why they got rid of her and killed Tony- disgraceful. Tony and Bobbie shd have been the old stalwarts- the new Steve and Audrey for the 21st C.

Another bad thing the writers have done.

But, in complaining about the obvious BAD stuff, don't rip the good- the Existential Luke is WAY better than the Romantic Luke, and AGAIN- the 80s and 90s were the WHITEWASH era, not now. The show is finally portraying Luke as a grifter and con man.

If you want a romantic hero, bring back Robin's Daddy!

  28. I didn't even watch Luke talking to himself in the car. His conversations lately has been so boring and repetitious that I definitely didn't want him repeating everything to himself.

And between that and Ethan at Windermere (which also makes no sense and holds no interest for me whatsoever) that was most of the show.

Anyone ever been on a flight from Europe. The planes are huge and packed to the gills, and yet Lucky was basically alone on this one with a ghost. Couldn't they have paid minimum wage for crew to sit in seats? It looked so phony!

It's so sad that this show is going to go out like this.

To add a slightly happier note, our "Lisa" was great in Homeland.

  29. I enjoyed watching a Spencer episode, as bad as it was. Would have liked more of an homage to Luke and Laura from the good old days, but I still liked it.
