So Long, Mr.Swayze...

North and South

Patrick Swayze has lost the good fight and died of cancer. Read it on ET. I loved him in all his movies...The Outsiders was wonderful. Of course, Dirty Dancing and Ghost are faves too. He was also great in North and South. He will be missed. What a talent. GH connections? Demi Moore (Jackie) in Ghost and Genie Francis in North and South. It's been a heck of a year for Hollywood.

  1. Agreed. Loved "The Outsiders" too.

I hope he's auditioning for Chippendales with Chris Farley right now.

  2. Knowing something is coming, doesn't help when it happens, I guess... So sad...He was one sexy and sweet man...All good wishes to his family. God Bless...BTW, that's Genie in the pink gown just behind him...and her hubby to be Jonathan Frakes just behind her and to the right, I believe. Such a good series, and a nice bit of his legacy.

  3. Awww Frank that is such a sweet thought... that Chris Farley might be waiting out there for him with open arms. You make me cry :(

A couple of additional soap ties: Terri Garber played Iris on ATWT, Lesley-Anne Down is currently on B&B, Wendy Fulton was on Bare Essance with Genie and Knots Landing, Mary Crosby was on Dallas and Knots Landing.

  4. He was a gifted person who touched so many people. He will be missed and my heart goes out for his family and friends.

I loved North and South. I wish Lifetime or Oxygen would pick it up and show it like they do with the Thorn Birds.

  5. My sympathy goes out to his wife and family. My mother died from pancreatic cancer and it's a terrible disease. Patrick Swayze was very courageous and brave during the entire illness. I hope he rests in peace.

  6. A man who fought the good fight and kept his dignity to the end. Rest in peace.

I still get goosebumps when I see him saying "nobody puts Baby in a corner".

So, yesterday, Canada got one show, we got another. I sort of watched the "Canada" show on Twitter and see no reason to watch it...
