Ratings UP for GH!

Go look at SON for all the ratings data...GH is slowly climbing. It's probably due to the aftermath of Robin's death, the vets coming home and all that jazz, but I don't care!! They are going up!

(Compared to Last Week/Compared to Last Year)
Total Viewers
1. Y&R 4,353,000 (-231,000/-111,000)
2. B&B 3,099,000 (+15,000/+269,000)
3. DAYS 2,548,000 (+59,000/-98,000)
4. GH 2,403,000 (+49,000/-385,000)

Best news? GH Hit 2.0 once last week!

  1. As a long time fan of GH, I do think the show has been MUCH better since the new PTB have taken over.
And though I am enjoying seeing Starr, Todd, and Blair and I am looking forward to John.
I don't want to see their SL's take over 90% of the show.
    Like Fridays episode.
IMO, yesterday was too much OLTL.
I'm not saying I don't enjoy the story line, because I do.
But I think they should balance it better. I dont want to miss out on my favorite GH characters and SL's for it.

    And is Becky on vaction???
I'm quite upset that Elizabeth hasn't been in more scenes!!!

When she showed up at Patricks door, I though, Okay, here we go.
    More airtime for Becky!
    Then Poof nothing!!
    That is upseting me.
Hopefully next week will be different.

  4. I have to disagree with you Karen about the ratings climbing because of Robin's death. It was told and played out PITIFUL. I am still waiting for the storyline! Roberts left already, as has Ethan before a funeral? Where was Patrick, Emma, Anna all week?

I LOVE seeing Todd & Blair over at GH. I especially love Todd & Carly scenes. But the writers need to acknowledge Robins death first and foremost before they start bringing in new characters and new storylines. SHAME on them!!

I have enjoyed this week, more so than any other week. I didn't ff thru anything. All week.

I see Maggie will be out soon. Hopefully Mulva & Ewan are right behind. We still have minor actors on the show still. Liz, Matt, Maxie, Mac, Monica, Tracey.
Are they 'filler' actors going forward?

  5. I am also annoyed that Liz wasn't around all week and there was too much focus on the ther deaths. I think the ratings were boosted by the returns of Anna and Robert, the death of Robin in general and the fabulous performances, regardless of the poorly written storyline.

  6. There was NO focus on the death Linda.

  7. I meant the "other" deaths. I hope they make up for this at the funeral or memorial service.

  8. Linda- I am so disapointed in the very little attention or respect they gave Robin's death. The death itself was stupid how it was done, almost impossible, then we sit thru NOTHING about her all week?

Though I love seeing Todd, there are viewers who are in limbo right now not knowing who is who and their history.

Sounds like the show will be about the CORRRENthos & Mannings.
With a side order of JaSam.

Characters like Matt, MAxie, Liz, Olivia, Steve I can do without.

But where was Monica all week? With her 1 scene a week?
    Where was Tracey?? Patrick?

OK I am repeating myself. Have a good night and lets hope Robin gets the proper attention the show owes her!

  10. I noticed that the bloated robot known as Jason/Steve Burton played little in the scenes leading up the ratings surge.

"General Hospital" was still the lowest-rated soap opera.

The show is still major road kill in every definition of the word.

  11. My2cents - I agree with you. They've made Robin's death nothing more than a bump in the road. No real show of emotion has come from any characters close to her. If I had a spouse/friend/daughter that died in such a horrible, violent way, I'd be a basket case, but maybe that's just me.
So far, I'm not minding the OLTL people TOO much, but I do find KA's acting (or lack thereof) a bit hard to take.

I didn't know he was known as the bloated robot. Who named him that? You? I smell jealousy!! So unbecoming!!
SB ran the show for years. Still I think most of us are in agreement, he has a hell of a body. I see muscle, do you see green? lol

  13. Well, thought this week was great. Bear in mind, it takes time to put a funeral or memorial service together, and on the show it's only been a couple days. Based on spoilers I've read, I think next week is going to be devoted to the funeral. And I friggin' loved OLTL and Blair is my absolute favorite ever, so I'll take it. I understand, though, why people would be upset about the way Robin's death has been handled thus far, and about the amount of exposure the OLTL'ers are getting. I would, actually, have been just as happy to see Liz get a storyline, or Alexis, or Lulu, as they're my favorites and have been absolutely shit on by the past writing regime.

I'm looking at it this way- I tried, I really tried, to watch DOOL and Y&R. I just couldn't get into them. I've left them on my DVR, but they usually get deleted before I can watch them. I'm a soap lover, and have already lost GL, ATWT and OLTL in just the past couple of years, so GH being watchable for me again is a major win- I don't care if they DO have to bring over half of another soap to make that happen, especially if it was a soap that I loved!

  14. Tawna...what a time to bring in new staff. A prominent world wide Doctor is killed, and we meet new characters, new storylines and no regard to Robin. Though I was never a FAN of Kim's, she gave her life to GH. They owe her a descent storyline.
My confustion is Kate turns to Connie, Sonny is sought, found, arrested and in court already, while poor Robin has Rigor Mortis setting in, in the morgue. All this in a day??
If I didn't know better, I would swear there was a change in behind the scenes staffing, right in the middle of the death of a prominent world wide known Dr.

Sonny is sought after, found, arrested, and in court already while Robin's body is deteriating in the morgue!! Something isn't right!
And Kate is Connie, then Kate all within this time period.

Though the show has improved it really has far to go still.
