Say Goodbye to YET ANOTHER Quartermaine!

According to Daytime Confidential, Robert Palmer Watkins was 'blindsided' when he was told he was being let go from the show.  Now, I don't think they've written well or very exciting things for Dillon but having another Q leave is just not cool. Just when we were getting Ned, Olivia, Monica and Dilly all interacting.  I'm hoping he goes off to do a film and not killed. That Q crypt is full.

  1. He posted something the other day (I follow him on Facebook or IG) and it didn't make sense....now it does. :( I'll have to find it.

  2. PLEASE tell me this has nothing to do with Morgan (BC) coming back!

  3. They have to save some money for the new people they're bringing in. (And I don't mean a new Jason.) If he was a mobster they'd keep him.

And I'm with you on that one, Paul!

  4. It's crazy. Are they intentionally TRYING to get this show cancelled?

  5. I love him. he just needs a storyline.

  6. Ugh, just ugh. They kept teasing us with Kiki and Dillon, but it never went anywhere. I really liked the character and actor and the potential. I'm really disappointed in the decisions being made. I don't find any of these current storylines riveting or interesting and some just turn me off. And I do not care about SB returning in the slightest especially with a preposterous storyline.

    1. I've started watching DAYS again, but not everyday. Just if I'm home. Not liking the Hattie and Adrienne impersonator person.

  9. I guess Kiki will be next. It was great having no Sonny and Carly today.

  10. That's just sad. And I'm even more sad to learn that Morgan is coming back. Management sure seems to be forgiving when these actors give them the finger when they don't get the perfect contract. We, the fans, adjust. And then these malcontents return. Sorry -- I'm in a mood today. I didn't care for the Morgan character ... or how Carly has to go talk to his headstone every time she needs advice or permission. Smh.

    1. Bryan Craig is supposed to be doing a new show on CW.So if Morgan does come back its probably going to be a recast.

  11. They have to keep getting rid of long-term characters to bring in ex-soap actors I never heard of.

  12. You're right, david. And then they keep saying there's no bonus for new characters.

    Bryan's new role...

  13. When I read about this happening, a bit ago, it really did make me sick. :( And no, that isn't a hyperbole on my part. It actually made me nauseated.

It was REALLY starting to look like they were gonna expand/increase the Qs presence on screen again, especially after Jane retired. Or maybe that was more of a pipe dream, to me, and I was only just deluding myself.

  14. OMG, this is TRAGIC!! Too many changes, the show should NOT let go of any more legacy characters. I have not heard that Morgan is coming back, after all of the carrying on about his death, murder, etc., it's kind of anti-climactic to bring him back . . .

  15. I just bought my Soap Opera Digest (dated Aug 28) and it shows Robert Palmer Watkins as going for a month long break to do a movie, but nothing about being fired. Weird......

** Yep, RPW said about a week or so ago, about the break for the movie, and thanking GH for letting him have the oppurtunity to do both GH and the movie. Several days later, GH then released a statement that they were letting him go. Which completely blindsided him, also. That's how he found out, he got fired, too. I.E. this latest issue of SOD already went to press, before it was announced they were letting him go, is all.

Sunday Surgery: Rude Awakening

Such a frustrating week for me!! GH can be so good, then so uneven and just plain plodding along that it baffles the mind. I felt like Thu...
