Looks like Jacob Young still remembers what it's like to work with the great Connie Towers!
Soap Fan Mystery Theatre will offer "The Unexpected Guest" on Saturday, February 20th at 8PM and Sunday, February 21st at 2PM and 7PM. Jacob's AMC costar Vincent Irizarry (David) will star as Michael Starkwedder -- the unexpected guest in question -- who accidentally drives his car into a ditch on a foggy night and wanders into a nearby house to use the phone. While there, he discovers a woman (legendary actress Stefanie Powers) standing over her dead husband's body
holding a smoking gun ... did she really do it? The Unexpected Guest's reading will also feature Jacob along with longtime Guiding Light star Robert Newman (Josh), AMC's Adam Mayfield (Scott), Constance Towers (Helena, General Hospital), and other special appearances to be announced.
TODAY'S GH: Well, color me surprised. Press releases said ol' Luke would be back Monday. Silly me. Or maybe his HAIR just came back early. ;) He did say BAT!! :me doing the bat dance:
JJ and TG...magic. *Sigh* "Let's just sit here and drink"... Oh, Lucky gets the "dangerous" guy connection with Laura/Luke and Liz/Nik/Jason.
Good for Lulu for laying into NIZ a bit. They need it. Nice scene on the docks with DOMte but the payphone? Really? hmmm.
Michael says he's AJ Son. heh. wow. Did you hear that scream from the inside of a GH storage closet?

Olivia screams "You shot your son"!! in the promos! I do think that we've been predicting that for EONS!!
Anyone else want ZombieClaudia and ZombieAJ to come back to eat up Port Charles? Heh. It's my dream.
I'll be on later this weekend. Must go decorate my friend's house. They are bringing baby JANE back from CHINA tonight!! How joyful is that? She's 2 years old and just wonderful.

Up and down week for me when it came to enjoyment. It seemed like things were shuffled up wrong in the editing room and it made me scratch...

ReplyDeleteWow. I loved JJ today and he and Tony Geary were just great together. They seemed so natural together and the dialogue was just perfect. And the end of today's show was fabu!!

ReplyDeleteYou know i am sitting here thinking to myself there is a whole lotta hatin on Liz lately. YES rightfully so but also no one ever comments how flipping hateful Sam or especially Carly has been her etire run on the show! Somehow she is redeemed after sleeping with her mothers husband (sam did too) and keeping Aj from Michael all those years was just terrible! And let's not forget the adored characters jason and Sonny are KILLERS. Seriously disgusting.

As someone on this site has said before, I think Guza is wanting viewers to not like Liz as much. Helps them get over the Liason fiasco and makes Liz not so perfect....Also makes Sam look a lot better.

And Olivia...I like her but really...keeping your mouth shut to protect your kid gets him close to dead. ARGH!!!

I can't believe they are trashing her! I loved her with JJ in the beginning years ago. I stopped watching after Lucky "died" and the new Lucky JY took over the part.
ReplyDeleteI never saw Liz and Jason's friendship/relationship from years ago, but after I started watching again, when they reintroduced Liason, I LOVED them together. The only person I can see her with if not Jason, is JJ's Lucky.
I just find it strange how the how town is supposed top humiliate and judge Liz. Like the whole town has never cheated before... hell half of em kill people but apparently that's ok. Nik is revolting, don't get me wrong. But things Carly have done in the past far out weight this. Yet she will be all high and mighty towards Luz and urge Jason to seek custody of baby Jake. AJ Quartermaine ring a bell you idiot writers?
ReplyDeleteI think someone posted a long time ago that Guza didn't find BH Pretty enough to be a lead on a soap. While I find her lovely, she doesn't have that sex apeal Sam may attract. Then again when Becky first joined the show she was a hot little naughty number. U Tube it, the scenes were fantastic. You will find yourself rooting for L&L again I promise.
Cat I think that was Frons that didn't find Becky pretty. He much prefers KeMo and her girls.
ReplyDeleteI'm just happy to see Becky get some airtime. I'm just afraid of the damage they are doing to character. Is Guza going to completely destroy her then send her back to the nurse's station to collect dust. I wonder if this storyline is hurting the actress with her fans. I hope not, because she is really hitting it out of the park IMO.
I loved what you had to say in an earlier post about why isn't the Lisa character Sarah Webber. I think it would have been better. As much as I HATE the Elizabeth/Nikolas storyline, it would have been a good way to connect history. Remember, Lucky (when played by Jacob Young, I believe) fooled around with Elizabeth's sister, just like she's fooling around with his brother. Until you mentioned Sarah, I'd forgotten about that.

Guza—in all his infinite self-centeredness—is ignoring their previous time together (under the writers’ strike), and starting fresh by the end of summer.
if guza likes kelly because of her girls, she has been looking for months like she had her implants removed.
