Emmy Speech

Just heard/saw Ex Producer's Emmy speech and said this "We wouldn't be here without the talent and guidance of Maurice Benard"
And, there you have it. Everything the fans have said for years was just confirmed. I used to defend all this saying one person couldn't 'control or influence' things that much.  Welp.

He also said Lexi and Bryan owed their wins to him!!
Later, backstage when asked if he forgot to thank anyone he said "the fans, but I thanked them last year" .

There you have it.

I'd love to credit the person that tweeted the above photo-- but can't find it. If you know, write it in the comments.

  1. Great pic, LOL! When I heard FC say that it made my stomach turn. I can't even watch Sonny anymore regardless of who is in the scene with him.

  3. Wow! Just....wow. First they should ALWAYS thank us, the fans, we are their bread and butter, 2nd...I'm just d8sgusted, with him, with Jelly and with MO....I used to defend Frank and the other guy fired, Rob? But not anymore. Just disgusted.

  4. The only reason I'm watching this mess is because of Roger Howarth. If he leaves I'm done and listening to that acceptance makes me feel better if I check out.

  5. Sorry I meant to say reading that excerpt of acceptance speech. Anybody have have a gut feeling if RH is leaving the Show?

    1. Not that I'm aware of. You know I fought to get Michael Easton back, me among many out there and even his being back can't make me watch I'm so disappointed in the writing and the show. The actors are the ones I feel sorry for. Having to make this work.

  6. Look, I appreciate MB's loyalty to GH and the work he has put in over the years...He is a decent actor, even if I do find Sonny sickening and sleazy and unworthy of the amount of screen time the character is given.
All that said, if Frank really gives MB that much credit for any quality that GH has remaining, then we have a problem. Frank needs to realize that there are dozens of other actors on the show with more compelling characters who need to be recognized and showcased in better ways - Genie Francis, Fin Hughes, Rebecca H, Chad Duell, Roger H, Wally K, Maura West, Jon Lindstrom, Lynn Herring, and MY FAV KIN SHRINER just to name a few.

ug. I can't stand it. What at trainwreck this show is. It's worse than the Guza years, I really believe it. Can we bring in Claire Labine's kids: Matthew and Eleanor Lebine to get it back on track? The 90's Labine years were a decent era of GH and I'd take those 2 in a minute!

    1. I agree with everything you just said! I was never a Guza fan, but Jelly is so much worse. Claire and Gloria Monty oh and Wendy Riche were when GH was at its best.

  7. just the fact that Frank said that shows they really don't have a clue as to what fans want. It's like he slapped every other actor across the face. Very disappointing. :( Karen, I saw that photo this morning it was from @yasmin86

  8. I have been looking for this to find out what the hype was about. Wow, just Wow. Doesn't FC know that the fans are the backbone of the show and that it should be an ensemble award and not just MB. Anon said it best. There are so many great actors who have attributed to this show and they deserved recognition as well. Shame on FC.

  10. That has to be one of the most terrifying pics I've seen in quite some time! I just hope it doesn't give me nightmares! (or should that be daymares, since I sleep during the day?)

Sunday Surgery: Rude Awakening

Such a frustrating week for me!! GH can be so good, then so uneven and just plain plodding along that it baffles the mind. I felt like Thu...
