Up and down week for me when it came to enjoyment. It seemed like things were shuffled up wrong in the editing room and it made me scratch...
Oh no! It says she'll be on for months. I hope KS is ok! That's a long time. Do we know, was KS filming for the JaSam wedding? I'd miss her if she weren't playing Maxie in those scenes. But other than that, can't say she's driving/involved in a lot of stories. Wish they could have sent her to Paris for Crimson for the time KS is out instead of a temp recast. Oh well! Hope she gets better quickly.

ReplyDeleteI liked her on Days. Personally, I liked Robyn Richards as Maxie, but alas, they took her in a new direction. I wish KS no ill will and I've grown to like the NuMaxie, don't get me wrong. Just think they grew her up overnight.

When they don't say what’s wrong, it’s big. Kristen is prob. in rehab. Remember when Liz was out for 2 months, they told us what was wrong with her.

ReplyDeleteShame on all of you assuming Rehab. Could be anything. Could be to help a family member, could be surgury she just found out she'll need. So many people hate on others about being thin, but heaven forbid you mention someone put on a few lbs and most bloggers jump our behinds. Some don't realize those gals may have chronic illnesses or just plain great metabolisms.

I think that if KS wanted people to know, she'd get the word out there. The show didn't tell us about Becky's illness details, her hubby tweeted them. After he came out,the show did issue something.

I don't see saying she needs rehab as malicious. It takes guts to get help when you have a problem. Rehab could also be for a food disorder such as bulimia or anorexia...it doesn't have to be drugs. The time away fits rehab...and if a spokesman doesn't come out and say what...you can bet it is some form of rehab for some addiction. If it was a some health illness, they would just say what it was.
ReplyDeleteFor the record, I am not hating on her because she's thin. I said she could use 10 lbs. The camera supposedly *puts* 10 lbs on, so if that's the appearance of 10 on that she doesn't have, then yes she's thin.

And again, I do hope she is not seriously ill.
Is taping for Dirty Soap finished? Could this somehow tie into that show? I am so sad to imagine her gone for any period of time, she really can't be replaced. I, too, wish they would just send her off on business. I will be wishing her a rapid recovery, no matter what the problem is. She's easily one of my favorites.

I wish Kirsten a speedy recovery. She has made the character of Maxie so unique that it is difficult to imagine someone else playing her.
ReplyDeleteThere are lots of "bitchy/bad girl" roles on soaps. But what differentiates many of them is how the actress portrays them onscreen. I like the fact that KS plays Maxie with some vulnerabilities as well as with comedic quirkiness when called for. Even though I loathe the character of Lulu, I enjoy their friendship when written well. (I guess they are actually "frenemies"?).
Whatever the illness or issues are, I will wish her well.
Is there really another Maxie out there?? NO!!! Nobody could do what KS does as a character!!

There's no shame in going to rehab, if that's where Kirsten is. I agree the timeline makes sense and given her history of DUI and mandated AA meetings, it makes sense. Of course we can't confirm it but it's not "mean" to speculate that that's where she is!

Whether alcoholism, drug addiction or eating disorder they are ALL diseases and need to be treated just like any other illness. I wish her all the best and hope she comes back REAL soon. I have watched the NuMaxie and I don't like her at all...no offense to her, but Kirsten just can't be replaced. She owns the role of Maxie...case closed

It's human nature to speculate when not given information. there's no need to get all defensive over whether she's in rehab or not. no. I know she said in the past she had a problem with alcohol and had a little legal problem over it but straightened herself out because that's when Lindsey lohan and Britney spears got into a lot of problems and she didn't want to go that route but she could have slipped and wanted to get help. Whatever the case hope she gets well soon and that it's nothing major!!!! We miss you! _

She did get a dui a year ago roughly, rehab(most likely as a court requirement) would make sense. Doubt its any eating problem, she still had her cheeks. I didn't used to like maxie, but since her sis died they've made her nicer, and the temp does look like new kate from the right angle. Never liked kate but the old one was better.

Sorry to be judgmental but anyone who is envious of Kirsten's body type is ill. Kirsten definitely needs to put on weight, being thin is one thing...but when your chest bones and shoulder bones are convex you are no longer thin, your sick looking. Why not be more like a Nadia or Jenna? At least that way people can see you. I was a judge fan on Kirsten as a child star, I cringe to see her smaller at 27 then she was at pre-pubescent 13!

Just had a hysterectomy due to Endometrosis and until you have walked in someone's shoes don't judge them! It is extremely painful!
ReplyDeleteI guess endometriosis is different for everyone. I've had it for years & even had surgery to remove what they could. I've never missed a day of work because of it. I'm not sure this is the total story. I do like KS as Maxie & wish her the best & can't wait for her return (soon, hopefully!)

KS is adorable as Maxie--we can only wish her the best no matter what is going on in HER life (emphasis HER.) JL isn't bad, as replacements go. At first I didn't like her, but I think the she has gotten more comfortable with the rhythm of Maxie's patter and she's doing a much better job capturing Maxie's essence. We'll just have to enjoy her as much as we can and then cheer when KS returns!

ReplyDeleteThis condition in some cases can be severe especially if medical attention was pushed off because the signs weren't apparent. I am the same age as Kirsten and I can put myself in her shoes if there was a queson weather or Not I could have children. That alone could cause a serious depression Which is a whole nother ball park

The person who called her a spoiled brat for being upset about endometriosis is ridiculous! I'm truly sorry for your dad but that is NO excuse to reply like you did. No matter how bad anyone has it, someone has it worse, but that doesn't make the battles they are fighting any less important. She's young and this disease could mean she can't have children. That's a lot to take in at any age, especially that young. Though there are treatments, there are no cures and she will probably have to have surgery (hence the long MIA from GH). Get well soon KS
ReplyDeleteShe is a young girl who probably wants kids in the future. She was prob told she would be better off having a partial/total hysterectomy. That decision alone could cause her to need time off to think. They DO get vacation time...ask Tony Geary! For all we know, she may have already had surgery and needs time to recover. I would not wish this on anyone, esp if they've never had kids. My niece has this & she's a dr and it knocksher out of work as well. Don't judge others bc one day you may end up on the receiving end.

ReplyDeleteThat definately does not lead to endo, no one actually knows what causes it. I have it myself. Its very painful. Each person has a different situation. Mine could not be removed i have to deal with it the rest of my life.
ReplyDeleteHaving had many, many surgeries, which ultimately ended with a hysterectomy at the age of 30, Endometriosis is a very serious illness that causes much pain and other bodily issues. It is not related to eating disorders, or drinking or anything else. It is s serious condition MANY women suffer from.

ReplyDeleteMy husband and I tried for 6 years to have a baby, I couldn't because I had severe endometriosis. I bled constantly and became severely anemic. I was in horrible pain and had to have a total hysterectomy before I was 30.
ReplyDeleteEach person's case is different and there are laparoscopies that can relieve the pain for some time but it's not a curable condition.
I hope they can take care of it simply and she gets better soon!!
I hope Kirsten is back soon. The show seems off with out her in there. I also miss her in Dirty Soap where I first saw that she was ill. I hope she takes care of herself. I hope she is back soon. She is missed a great deal. Get better.
