  6. I am devastated. He's one of the very very very few native American actors on tv these days who aren't in some stereotypical role. I hope it is just a temporary replacement.

  9. This show just keeps adding new actors and there is a glaring lack of continuity in storylines. Something will get mentioned in passing and we won't hear anything else about it for months.

It's like the people running this show have forgotten that they should give viewers reasons to care about the characters by focusing on character development.

Why should we GAF about Hayden or this annoying new character Amy?

GH was at its best when it had a core ensemble of actors that played well off of each other, and storylines weren't repetitive. Maybe Tyler Christopher is tired of playing the same scene over and over with Rebecca Budig where they threaten each other and then end up in bed. Yawn.

I know the rest of us are; not to mention what they've been doing to his character while trying to work that woman into a story line. She's the one they should kill off. her mom can come for the funeral!

  11. I also hope that Tyler Christopher is not leaving the show, no one else will be believable as Nicholas. The show does have too many characters now, and Hayden needs to go away. New writers are making this too spread out with tooo many new people.

  12. if it is contract negotiations ...sure that's what u do with your emmy winning actor????

  13. Everyone apparently thought the blind item in SOD was about Roger H. in contract negotiations, but it was obviously Tyler. Then it was clarified that it wasn't Roger. They better not lose Tyler.

Unfortunately he doesn't give a crap about his ancestry, nor does he know very much about it. Source? I've spoken to him about it and have seen interviews when it was brought up. A few years ago he was promoting "Shouting Secrets" (in a very stereotypical role)and was using slurs that aren't looked at kindly in the NA culture. He was just plain ignorant and rude. What little respect I had for him being a NA actor totally disappeared.

  15. I have had the complete opposite experience with Tyler. I spoke with him in 2012 and he was emotionally proud and enthusiastic of his American Indian ancestry. I found him to be intelligent, compassionate and well-spoken about his attempt to avoid stereotypes. I think that his someone who embraces his heritage, but doesn't like the stereotypes associated with it. He's a great guy.

  16. Well, Zac, I guess we have to disagree (either that or he's matured significantly since last I encountered him). I really hope it's the latter because he was extremely ignorant about our shared heritage. The dude had absolutely no clue what clan claims him and didn't care. If you're going to promote yourself as NA in a very public way, then learn the history of your family. I can also tell you for a fact he is not involved with his "heritage" as much as he claims he is.

(Obviously this is a hot topic for me)

  17. I agree with PM61. I could care less about Hayden/Rachel. All of the new characters have greatly taken away from the solid core they should work with. We hardly see Mac, Flea heck or even Max much anymore.

I do have to say that I have deeply enjoyed Roger Howarth. I think I liked the Todd Manning role best because Franco was.. well.. Franco! Seems like they're sort of morphing them together though.

I'm not a fan of permanent recasts, so obviously I'm not too keen on Kirsten's and Tyler's "temporary" departure. I'm still trying to adjust to the new Kiki. Seems like its just hard to get accustomed to another actor in vital roles that was created by someone else. I have to give kudos to Laura Wright though.. She owns Carly! With that being said.. sometimes, it does work.

    Enough of my ramblings :)
