I want to first talk about the REAL SUPER SPY on GH ...Tristan Rogers. Back in the early 80s, having spies on any soap was novel. Having an AUSTRALIAN on one? Unheard of! So charming, dashing and had chemistry with everyone that walked into the room. Are they trying to repeat the history with... Vaughn and Joss? NOT POSSIBLE.
ON TO THE SHOW:
AT LEAST FRIDAY HAD A CLIFFHANGER!!!! I'm happy for that...Joss shooting a gun was hysterical but whatever. Britt and Jason having a moment? We shall see how this goes.
HERE'S WHAT'S HAPPENING:
Trying to put ADA Turner with Sonny is going to drive us all nuts. So many fans of Nina and Sonny-- Carly and Sonny....Sonny and himself. And here we are with some lawyer lady. We've done this before. Even the talking about Sonny's cooking :eyeroll: Is she getting a dress and a trip to the island next? Hard NO. Nope. And that's all I'm saying about it. Justine the character is ok but please. No.
The Curtis/Jordan/Portia/Isaiah dance is ... so lazy. There, I said it. Putting Portia in 9 different dresses in 7 different weeks isn't doing it. Isaiah with PORTIA? When there are so many single ladies out there? Jordan and Curtis? HAS BEEN DONE BEFORE. We saw the Portia and Jordan dramas. Please stop. While I appreciated the Trina/ Mom discussion (at least it wasn't about Kai). AND a partial love scene, it's really not that good of a soap story. PS. That was shortest love scene in history.
Willow continues to just go around PC crying, seeing sympathy and apparently, slapping people! I forget this isn't the 70s when you could lay hands on whoever and RARELY would an assault charge pop up. (let alone a trip to HR). BUT!! It's 2025 and all hell could have broken loose. My biggest problem with Willow is the flippy floppy. Is she a true victim we should feel sorry for or is she psychotic and has many screws loose? Also see: CHASE. What's he doing? Keep your shirt on and get home to Brook Lyn. As much as that's a boring situation I don't want to see you with this chick.
Tracey wasn't going to take it from him when it came to WILEY!! I mean, hell...you have no one on your side but Martin and Kai and then you pissed Tracey off??! Just like a politician. How many people can he enrage? Alexis got her Natasha Cassadine face right on when he told her her whole family was banned from seeing Scout. You're going after STELLA?? Sweet STELLA? Everyone on the GH timeline is praying for his murder.
Then there's the whole Britt Westborne thing. Not sure if you listened to a certain podcast but Kelly Theibaud made it clear she asked to be paired with Steve Burton upon her return. So there's that. Now the whole WSB is focused on the FIVE POPPIES and that new never-used professor is in the cabinet for lord knows how long. Emma (who's a great addition to the cast) is just being wasted at this point. I honestly don't get it. I mean Gio got that key last week and...? And...?
Joss and Vaughn dovetail on the Britt story. Joss and Vaughn are just insufferable. At least Dex had SOME twinkle. I have no idea what to say about these two. They were even in a hotel room together and...sad horn. Not ONE tiny inkling of anything. Sad. So sad. I put that photo up of them when they were first "Kissing" by the fire at Charlie's. Look at how far Joss is leaning away. There's no there there.
EDITING:
GET YOUR ACT Together. I'm tired of it. Scenes out of order. Anna visiting Jordan with a welcome basket as Jordan being all "I BOUGHT THE PLACE"..and then Curtis being there when she ACTUALLY GOT THE PLACE. Somehow glasses and champagne show up when they need them? Time jumps, days just mixed up and yes, we notice.
OTHER STUFF: The Custody re-hearing is in OCTOBER and the Pier vote is IN NOVEMBER. So, there ya go. Can Laura mention Ace one time?? Kevin? I mean we know he's gone but... come on. Fake going to dinner with them or something. We also have the on going Rocco saga and I continue to be thankful for the return of KG as Liesl. She's just delightful. Unfortunately for us, she can't have a dog in a hotel so Lulu gets to keep Outback. Hopefully she won't screetch at her like she does everyone else!
FACE OF THE WEEK: I'm bringing this back just for NLG as Natasha, getting ready to plot against Drew. She's got that dagger--DO IT!
NOTE TO WARDROBE: Um, don't you dare start dressing Felicia like every other blazer-clad 'more mature' woman on this show. Just do NOT go there. Thank you.

I notice ABC has been having Cameron Mathison as a guest host on "GMA 3" in the afternoons, right before "GH." I wonder (and hope) that his character is killed on "GH" and that is the new permanent job being lined up for him.
ReplyDeleteSo, who do we think is Britt's boss? Jerry Jacks? Henrik Faison's twin brother? (We know it's not Cassandra Pierce because Britt's referred to the person as a "he.") What other baddie is still out there and alive?
It better be someone good and worth our while. I am a bit peeved that Kelly T made sort of a demand to work with Steve. They let Kemo go with a much larger fan base and connections to Port Charles. I actually love Brit, but this is yet another slap in the face to Kemo that Kelly T could make demands. They better bring Brad back, put Dr. O front and center, keep Britt and Maxie connected as well as to Maxie's kids to make this worth it.
DeleteI saw Cameron on GMA 2 as well. He has always been Meh for me, but I wish him well (please kill him Alexis, Dre. O or Nina). I don't want Sonny and co being the hero again.

ReplyDeleteI meant to also mention, my heart is broken seeing Tristan's death and the co-stars releasing tributes. Nancy L. Grahn's was particularly funny yet poignant on instagram. You can certainly feel the love from the GH fam. See below.
ReplyDeleteTristan and I had recurring characters on Babylon 5 yrs ago. He told me that standing next to me was the only time he wished he was shorter so that he didn’t have to hover over my ginormous head. When the director asked him to look me in the eyes, he said “I’d love to but that head is too distracting.” Suave, wry, smooth, debonair and ridiculously handsome.
Given Vaughn's looks I had wondered if he was Jagger's son. He looks almost exactly like the actor who played the recast.

The dialogue between Justine and Sonny is so deliberate and unnatural. I'm one of those Sonny and Carly fans.
My vote for best this week is Donna. That young lady can deliver.
Tristan Rogers...a glorious gentleman who was a gift to GH.
I think people forget that EH Was a bad actor. The guy who plays Vaughn is both hot and so much better of an actor.
ReplyDeleteI think there’s gonna be a huge who shot,/stabbed Drew storyline, but I don’t think he’s going to die.
If it’s true with the spoilers that say, Stella has a stroke, I hope they go full force into it and show some realism and overtime have her get better. The actress has the chops to do it. In regards to Porsche/Curtis there are going to be people on both sides that are going to complain if they maintain two African-American actors in a romance or others clamoring for a mixed relationship. There are complainers everywhere.
In my opinion, the show is in a better position that it has been in years. I hear people on other sites complaining about the writers and the executive producer. They’re not going anywhere until they decide. The show writes months in advance and because a certain population doesn’t like a storyline. It doesn’t mean they should change it.
Characters I’m Enjoying, but not necessarily rooting for, our Drew, Michael, Brett, Dante, Lulu, Anna, Emma, Geo, martin, Rick, Ava, Alexis, Cody, and Molly. I will always root for Cynthia Watros‘s version of Nina too! Nina has been the only one that has made Sonny palatable in my opinion.
