Sunday Surgery: The Book of Revelations

 

Usually the week after a humdinger like we had is mostly narration and boring. While there was plenty of narration, it was far from boring--mostly because not all people knew what other people knew. Revelations all over Port Charles! 

Grab anything you like today and settle in---let's GO GO! 

PARKING LOT DRAMA:  Squee! Now whoever came up with this idea is a genius! How do you weave the information shared in this little drama into a giant light-bulb moment? In the olden days we probably would have had Valentin come into a party that was being thrown at The Metro. This was so much more read and effective. In the ACTUAL PARKING LOT we have Charlotte and Lulu arguing in the car about her father being in town the entire time. In a frankly stunning moment, Char isn't giving Carly up as her partner in this. Then we have Sonny and Carly over on the sidewalk discussing Josslyn being a WSB agent for a year. I was almost wondering if they had Sonny outside of GH because he was going to collapse!  And Then (Pause for effect)....From a mysterious black SUV, out steps VALENTIN! Carly couldn't contain herself and planted a big one on him as Sonny and Lulu look on in shock. Oh my...delicious to watch. 

HIT ME BABY:  Carly and Z spar over Josslyn's stint in the WSB. After an exhausting how "great" she is speech, Carly hauls off and slaps Z's face. We find out later this was a wish of John Oliver: to be soap-slapped! The whole scene came off as fun. THEN the revelation comes: Cassius is alive!! Not only is he alive, Z tells him that he's the fall guy for the entire mess-up and unless he works for him, he will face the death penalty. 

IT WAS JUST SALINE:  Lucas tells Britt her entire illness was a lie. Britt, who's behind bars is devastated. So is Lucas because he realizes Marco got killed for nothing. Kelly Thiebaud was amazing in the series of scenes! When Dr O comes in, she has to tell her the news too. KG's reactions were heart melting. Her Britta is going to live! Don't get crazy now though, she's still really pissed at her for not disclosing the information about Cassius and the project. 

(Those were all on Monday BTW!!....let's keep moving, shall we?) 

ANNA'S HOME! As news spreads of Anna's return, she hesitantly enters her apartment with Felicia where Gio, Emma and Mac greet her. Emma made her another mug, the apartment looks great and everyone is happy. Later that same day, Peter pops up to ruin the mood for Anna (and us). I guess she's still hallucinating. My idea is this: Anna is shown flashing back to her bloody nose. Could her blood condition be a reason she's hallucinating? Hmmm.. Anyway, Anna gets a bunch of revelations via Dr Obrect. She and Josslyn were also held where Anna was and saw her writing. Anna is so happy that she didn't dream that whole bit up! The doctors were still telling her that wasn't true. Dr O of course, wants to clear Cassius' name but Anna's having none of it. As far as she's concerned he was a lying liar that lied and is just like his father. Next up? Valentin comes to her front door and--well, we will have to see what happens next! (Keep an eye on Carly because- IMPLOSION is coming I bet!) 

THE MIND OF LIZ WEBBER:  We start out with her nursing Lucas' hangover which he got OFF CAMERA while getting smashed at The Brown Dog. Dang!! She and Lucas talk things over about the whole Brennan/Drew mystery. She gets a notice from Turning Woods that Brennan has left the facility and is walking on his own. (I guess that was paperwork because the hospital admitted him). That's strange she says. Lucas agrees. Liz thinks it might be a toxic event happening at Willow's and goes over to warn her.  She finds Nina and Jack Brennan there. Jack tells her HIS paralysis was caused by a CLASSIFIED case he was working on for the WSB. Nina looks on adoringly because he didn't give them up. Liz seems satisfied at the moment but--is she?

SPY SCENES: Revelations that Josslyn had a hand in letting Valentin out fell on both Valentin and Brennan. Brennan figured it out because he's WSB and Val says he read her statement. Josslyn lets Valentin know she did it to keep her mom out of jail, not because she likes him or anything. No one seems to know about Jason Morgan yet unless I missed that nugget of information. By the way, Carly pleaded at Joss' bedside to leave the WSB but Joss is as strong as steel now and loves her job. Go away, mom. 

ACCIDENTAL KNOWLEGE:  Chase finally gets his brain to operate correctly and susses out that Brook is behind the framing of his beloved Willow. Tracey also figures this out and chastises Brook for letting Lucy Coe help her. She's right because Lucy let just enough information slip out for Chase to catch on. When confronted Brook doesn't lie but also cooks her goose when it comes to Chases' indignation. She pleads way too much and then finally snaps and basically says it's all his fault because he likes Willow too much and she's trying to snare him for her own. What the fallout is of all this we will find out soon. What Chase doesn't know yet is that Brook was the one that ran from the scene. 

POOL PLAY:  Ava and Ethan have another frolicking chem test at the Metro Pool which ends up with Ethan being doused with a rum cocktail. Ava lets him know SHE know he's not Phoebe's father. Ethan lets Ava know she should leave well enough alone. 

SIDWELL FINDS OUT:  Jordan tells Sidwell she's been working "undercover' for ages and trying to get some damning evidence against him. (not that she did anything). He also knows she and and the mayor gave up his hidey-hole. Sid is NOT happy. He actually believed Jordan and liked her. He wants her to go to Switzerland, get her face fixed and get his money out of accounts. She's like: NO thanks but does look longingly at the mention of the free face. 

WUBSHELLS: (other little important bits) 

Britt is released and doesn't know where to go. Joe gives her 5 bucks. :giggle: 

Lawyers: Ric is repping Isaiah, Martin is repping Curtis

Valentin wants custody of Charlotte 

Dante finds out that Charlotte told Danny about Rocco shooting Cullum 

There's a great  Tracey-Willow argument in the GH board room. 

Chase first thought Michael framed Willow. Willow thought Tracey framed her

Trina had a tiny scene about her set list and her "boundaries" 

Good little sequence of Sonny freaking out over Carly making out with Valentin 

Lulu and Carly argue and Lulu's NOT HAPPY that Carly helped Char see her father

ADA Turner and Sonny meet up and... : eyeroll: they have FEELINGS for each other.

I feel like I didn't touch on everything that happened but I did give it a big ol' college try! So many people knew so much about some things and not others and others knew stuff the others didn't know and PHEW! When this long of a storyline concludes, it's a big tie-up! My biggest gripes are that Trina didn't go see Josslyn (and maybe it's because it's WSB stuff?) and the continued saga of the accident. *sigh*.  I do not care what happens at this point. I think that baby just needs to be born and we are stuck with an OG mommy-daddy battle of who sees the kid when. I'm also SO hesitant to be excited about the crowd of newbies coming. I will never understand why they don't get Cam back (even if he's SORA'd) because he could be a med intern. Jake can come back and give a showing at the Art Gallery. Brad, Terry, Ned, Olivia-- you name it. Joe is enough newness right now, thank you.
