HELLAVA week again on GH!! The way they've managed to continually have multiple scenes with multiple characters just makes my heart grow 3x larger. (Ok, something like that lol) I'm not even sure if we've caught up to the 'is this Friday"? after the baseball games but it really didn't matter.
I'm listening to "Heads Will Roll" By the Yeah, Yeah Yeahs. Let's get aHEAD of the game and GO-GO!! (I promise I'll stop--maybe lol)
KIDS IN THE HALL: I DO like this story, mainly because it brings so many people together. I also have been on and on with the young set getting air time so yes-- happy. Rocco was amazing with the acting for sure and Danny's doing a fine job. You have: panicked parents and grandparents. Cops going out of their way to 'help' them because of the big, bad professor guy bent on revenge or whatever he was doing. Charlotte and Danny turn themselves in to save their brother. Nathan going to Jason...Jason getting Alexis... and then the parents helping to decide what is best. Holes in this story? Sure but the movement and flow of the aftermath? 10/10.
DALTON DOWN: I really think Professor Dalton was a causality of the whole "Britt Returns" story. I believe he was shelved to get into the Five Poppies of it all and that was that. I'm NOT complaining mind you-- his character was never really fleshed out enough to care. He did start talking in an Aussie accent this week (He is Australian) and I was thrilled. Welp! He was brought down by my fave baddie of the moment who got him with a single shot to the heart. Loved the no 'chit-chat' before he pulled the trigger. Villains talk too much before doing the deed many times. This added to the shock we--and Britt felt. PJ guy cleaned it up and then they had a spot of tea. Nicely done.
TRUNK OR TREAT: Shades of Mary Pat in the apple dunking barrel!! Laura calls Kevin on the phone to tell him the good news and we find out he's in Ireland! Oh THAT'S where he's been! A screw in the tire forces her to stop and go look for the spare. What she finds is.. well, you know. Dalton's body. We only see the head but it's enough. She freaks out and does a great job with conveying panic, horror and pure terror. Nathan happens along after she's called Sonny and he tries to help her. Luckily, he gets a phone call as Sonny arrives and leaves. Sonny can then call up his cleaner to get Laura out of her jam. Genie talked about this scene and the subsequent one in her office on Mo's podcast: "State of Mind" on YouTube last week. (Part 2 is up today). This is giving Genie some much-needed meatier material and I'm here for it!
A GOOD USE OF WSB FOR ONCE: HEY!! I actually liked a scene with Joss going after something WSB related!! Ring that bell! Even Vaughn didn't bug me! Why? We found out that Dalton does indeed have 2 labs and one involves animal testing. "It's away from here so you can't hear them bark" :SNIFF: . Vaughn hauls him out of the bar after Emma and Gio interfere with the process. Then, Joss sits with them and lets Emma know the WSB is on the case. The relief on Emma's face was great. Loved her telling Dalton she was the one arrested in Berkley. Liked Joss being soft and including them without outting herself. Just nicely done. PS doesn't Emma look like a young Anna back there!?
BROKEN BRITT: On to Britt. Trauma or what? She was shaking so badly she couldn't inject herself. Sidwell basically told her that she was next if she didn't step it up. Jason came over and..whoa. What a scene. She was begging him to put her first and you could see it in his eyes he wanted to. Then.. SONNY CALLS and like Pavlov's dog, Jason jumps. Kelly and Steve acted their asses off in that scene. It could have been a throw-away "Jason chooses" type thing but I really felt the struggle. I'm wondering more and more about her knowledge of Nathan. I don't think she knew he was alive and they aren't 'working together' or something would have dropped by now. I think she was scared when she saw him alive because it has something to do with the "Faison Fusion Project" (My new name) and she's not sure how to deal with that.
PORTIA PATROL: Geesh, the whole town is rallying to get Portia pinned for the crime, aren't they!!? YEP. Sonny mentions it to Alexis and then Ric rolls in (get it? HA) and tells her about the blackmail plot by Drew. Weren't Rick and NLG just SUBLIME? *sigh*LOVED them together. So glad Ric is making up a bit with Sonny and with Alexis. He's just too good of a character to be a dick. Plus, we have Drew for that role now!
OH MAMA MIA: FINALLY!! It only took Dante blowing a gasket again with Gio to get Michael in on this. It was a nice scene and Gio understood what Brook when through when she was so young.
CHARLIE'S UPDATE: They heard us about Charlie's!! Yes, when Krissy was flirting with Jacinda (I'm saying she was) she dropped that the structural damage was so bad, it had to be demolished. HENCE the Brown Dog scenes. I love the Brown Dog and it's funky vibes, great decor and loud music (with crowd noise)!! Win Win. Although who knows what Kristina is going to do now with her time.
OTHER SUCH THINGS: (because this week was too packed!!)
Laura won the mayoral race and Project Pier didn't pass. Or it did--I'm not even sure which way was which but Sonny won
Lucas gets closer with Ava and further away from Carly
Carly goes to Jack's with champagne to show him she's still interested.
Michael introduces Sonny to Jacinda and he's not very nice
Chase finds out through a drunken Boyle that he was with Jacinda thus blowing up Michael's alibi. Chase is VERY interested in Willow, btw. VERY
Willow is crying around town.
They dropped the ball on Nedly--no real aftermath of his operation. Just a tiny scene with Brook bringing his iPad and then calling Tracey and not telling her about the incident. (she'd just stress everyone out).
NEEDS: Dr O around. Glaring absence. More CCTV footage and Spinelli involved. Come on now, we need to write for 2025. More story for Elizabeth, this is a need because she's been on the back burner too long. Ditto for Trina. Maybe Trina can be the new art therapist intern and something medical pops up for them to solve. Valentin needs to find Anna. Not sure how but do it.
WANTS: Some good Ned recovery scenes at the Q house when Jane Elliot gets back and Wally is available. INCLUDE LEO!! He'd have a full scale heart model out to explain it to everyone. More Molly and Cody. I usually do not go for the cute 'falling in wub' stuff but they work. Explore Kristina and Jacinda. Michael falls for her and so does Krissy. I bet boots she's bi so let's go.
PREDICTIONS: Outback escaped the lab and many more beagles will be freed!
FACE OF THE WEEK: I mean.. come on--was there any other choice? PS. They needed to have her tell Sonny about David Hamilton!
To end this all, I'm hoping someone mentions the fact that there has been husband and then wife Mayors of PC. Hope you lasted until the end!! It's great when the show is complex and I have a lot to talk about. Did you like this week? It's THANKSGIVING coming up but I think the show is still behind so who knows when we'll see it.
See you Monday!! CHEERS!!
Ooooo, I love the idea of a Jacinda/Michael/Kristina triangle. That would be fun. Also, I thought the same thing when it was revealed that Charlie's is no more -- what is Kristina going to do for work? Give the lady a job.
ReplyDeleteNow that Laura had Sonny come and clean up the body, if the PCPD ever does get the goods on his organization, will Sonny blackmail Laura into scuttling the investigation? She's really put herself into quite the predicament.
Although I haven't liked the "Gio is mad at his parents" storyline overall,I thought the scene at the hospital between Gio and Brook Lynn making up was well done.
They need to do something with Nathan soon or get rid of him. He is just sucking up oxygen at this point. I'd rather see Brad on our screens.
