You get a RARE Saturday blog today!! Why? SO much to talk about tomorrow that I decided to do the Red Carpet looks today. I always like to dish the fashion and since it's a rainy Saturday, I figured why not.
JORDAN: BEST DRESSED: This was my favorite of the night. The color, the fit --the everything. Just looked stunning on her without being over the top.
EMMA: RUNNER UP: I just fell in LOVE with this dress on her. Such a bright, rich color and the cold -shoulder-slump was perfection. Just so fresh and perfect for her youth. I may get pushback on this but I stand by my decision!!
TRINA: Tabyana wears a lot of hot pink and you can see why!! This is a great dress in all respects. Fits her age and curves. Just love it.
OLIVIA: LLC can wear just about anything, can't she? This was a great gown for her and I love the color. The one shoulder gives it a little 'oomph". Approved.
JOSS AND CARLY: Both looked amazing. LOVED Joss' dress. Carly is wearing one of my favorite colors for her. That drape on her was just perfect. Great fit.
FELICIA: Rare miss for me. I usually love Felicia's wardrobe. This was just too frumpy Mom of the Bride vibe. Didn't like her hair down either. Not sure why, it just didn't do much for me. KW is sparkly and the color/fit should reflect that.
WILLOW: They made a big deal out of her being last and Drew and Nina gasping for air. BUT-- not for me. Didn't like the sleeve, it a just overwhelming for her frame and I didn't think it fit that well. Her hair? I'm not hating it. She can carry that off for sure. Seems like she went the pixie route for a 'fresh start'.
MOLLY: Red done right. THIS is a DRESS. Loved the color, the fit and the little sparkle. Really looked good on her. Cody--well, he looks like Cody. LOL
BROOK LYN: Why. Just--why. I mean, I like a good spangly tux look on a woman but this is a mess. Fringe?? The oversized collar? Plus it swallowed her right up. I also would have paid to see this woman in something brighter. She wears black daily. Just a fail. Sorry.
Thanks for the extra blog!!
ReplyDeleteHaving worked on the "fringe" of the fashion industry in one phase of my life I love this!
Most everyone looked fabulous. Loved the man jewelry that Curtis and one or two others wore on their lapels.
My favorite is Donna. Carly and Jordan come next.
The worst by a long shot is BLQ. That get-up. That hair. Why? Next is Lulu. Blah.
Lucy's looks were kind of boring this time around. But the three day arc was certainly not. More happened in these days than has happened in many months.
Bravo!
I agreed with pretty much all of them. Lulu's gown was old lady. BrookLyn's outfit weird. Was Genie Francis around? Jonathon Jackson? I haven't watched much yet.
DeleteThere is NOTHING I disagree with - excellent - spot-on!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSort of off topic...but seems like a glaring hole not to have the mayor of the town not attend one of the biggest events of the year. Where was Genie Francis? To date, I don't think she's been part of a single Nurse's Ball...ever. I don't watch entire episodes any more...but I wasn't seeing Maxie either? And what a shame that neither Wally Kurth or Jonathan Jackson didn't perform. At least Ned was there. Jonathan Jackson's return has been a complete bust. Where was Jack Brennan? Rena Sofer is great. I know the knives are coming out for her, and maybe it's the actress but I can't help feel sympathy for the character unlike Alexis Havins' spiteful Lulu. The Michael re-cast...question...is Michael supposed to look the same or did he have plastic surgery to get a new face? Everyone seemed to recognize him, I think, so I'm guessing he still looks the same albeit a different actor.
ReplyDeleteIt is odd that Genie wouldn't be there; she's not on her summer vacation yet. Kirsten Storms too. This show does things so weird these days.
DeleteI agree with every single thing here! Jordan was a stand out and hands down the best dressed! I really like Willow’s hair, she always has a boring cut, this one has a little edge. Emma in that orange with the sleeves is very in-style right now, though I did think it made her look older than her years. Trina’s dress is gorgeous on her, and every time I saw it I automatically thought of Pebbles Flintstone. Not in a BAD way…just reminded me of her!
ReplyDeleteI think the men also had a few standouts. Drew’s all-black but with that deep blue tie was a favorite, as was Dante’s dark blue jacket. But I think my favorite was Sidwell in that burgundy jacket. It clashed with Jordan’s dress but was stellar on its own and made him stand out from all the boring dark colors worn by the men (and Brook Lynn)!
