A Loving Look Back 

One of the best tributes we've seen: 

NOTE: We were almost ready to publish this and we lost another great this December. Anthony Geary was in a way, the face of 'mid-modern' GH. As a part of Luke and Laura, he was sealed into pop culture forever. Tony also did theater, guest starred on tv shows and was in a few movies. The fact that almost all of principal cast of that era of storytelling is gone just about wrecks me. I can't imagine what Genie and Kin must be feeling at this point. If you read their statements, both had GH dreams the night Tony passed and perhaps that was how deep the connection was. 

David writes: I remember when we lost Anna Lee and John Ingle. Both of those losses were very tough, as they were not only loved ones but part of our family. However, nothing could prepare us for the losses we suffered this year. Not only were the actors veterans, but they were also legends. In every sense of the word. We are going to try to pay tribute to them in our own way and remember their contributions to the General Hospital family.

There are hundreds of tributes on YouTube for these individuals. I spent a lot of time trying to come up with a unique way to remember them without imposing on the many online tributes already done. I hope you like what we've come up with.

Leslie began her career on GH on August 16, 1977. 

Dave's standout scene: Monica has lost 2 parents (in-laws), a husband, surrogate mother and 4 children. (one returned) All of those tragic scenes would be standouts. I was going to go with the day she told the Q's that she had an affair with Ned, but instead decided to do something lighter. Here is her performance at the Nurse's Ball in 1994

March 5

Denise began her career on GH in 1973.

Dave's standout scene: Lesley and Monica have had their share of fights. I think this was by far their biggest. And Lesley got a really good slap in. Classic soap acting by these two brilliant performers.

Chris began his career on GH in 1978.

Dave's standout scene: I chose his final performance. He played a ghost of his character on the 50th anniversary episode along with Alan, Emily, Monica and Tracy. Tons of great history mentions.

Karen's standout scene: They tell Alan about their affair-- it's a bad video but it's a goodie also for Leslie C and Stuart D. Just a great scene

August 15

Tristan began his career on GH in December 1980.

Dave's standout scene: Walking with Burt Ramsey on the docks and arresting him as Mr. Big. 

Karen's standout scene: I remember this like it was yesterday!! Mac arrives in PC and Robert doesn't react well!!

Tony began his career on GH in 1978. 

Dave's standout scene: Luke was presumed dead and returned to Port Chuck to see his old friend Robert. Instead he meets up with Mrs. Scorpio.

Karen's standout scene:  Has to be Laura running Luke at the Mayor's mansion. I waited WEEKS for that reunion. When he yelled "Laura"?? My heart about stopped!! Such a scene.

At Lulu's, Nathan is keeping watch outside and Lulu brings him a thermos. She's gotten used to him being around since Valentin got out. Just cute talk.

Carly takes Val Champagne in the attic. Don't make them romantic plz. He's glad she brought Charlotte to him. 

Curtis goes to Jordan's. She's in her PJ's which are HUGELY expensive and don't look like PJs lol.  He says he wishes the baby was HERs and HIS. OY!

Trina, Kai, Gio and Emma ring in the new year at Tri's apartment. Trina doesn't want to go the The Savoy. Emma gets a call from Cody to go watch Outback. Gio leaves with her.

Cody is making his 'house' all ready for NYE but Molly can't come she has to work. Then Outback barks and Cody decides to take NYE to her. YEP! Emma and Gio come to watch the dog and they have a romantic time together. 

Molly is in the office. Cody comes in with food and champagne. 

Emma asks Gio about the violin. 

Britt and Jason are in the Q kitchen. She wanted to hang out on NYE and he's like: Let's talk about what you've gotten yourself into. She wants to go to The Savoy or Brown Dog. He does not. 

So, my TV froze and I took it as a sign. I don't want to snark so badly on a NYE show so.. I'll say goodbye!

TODAY'S SHOW: 

Dublin called and wants Kevin to move to Ireland. Six month gig and he wants Laura to go. Jordan shows up after she leaves Spoon Island.  She hasn't found anything out about his business but his personal life-- she knows that both Ava and Lucy are interested. 

Sonny and ADA have dinner at Cafe Cherie. Just a bunch of nonsense filler. I mean REALLY A LOT OF FILLER about the trial progress. They don't even have drinks in front of them. lol

Sidwell's house: Drew is there and Willow shows up. She says that Scout was happy to go. Drew says he's pissed at Alexis about the trial.  Then Jordan is talking and asks about Ava and Lucy. Sidwell says they both have charms. Marco wants Lucas to make nice with Willow. They end up arguing and Drew tells him to knock it off. Then Willow leaves. 

Marco and Sidwell talk about Sonny and blackmailing him and then when they are done, Sonny's a dead man. 

Tracey and Michael talk about the first Christmas without Monica. She says it wasn't terrible. Jacinda comes over. Tracey wants to give her the 3rd degree. Michael looks scared. Tracey is very nice to her. Michael says thank you. Tracey says he's not being very nice to her. She can tell he's stringing her along because of the alibi. He says he isn't. She says he is. 

At Alexis' house, they exchange presents. Alexis said Scout can be there if Danny doesn't come. So, who shows up: YEP. Danny. He was just popping over.. Alexis isn't sure he should stay. They go make a snow man. Then they tell Danny he has to leave. Tears all around. Cody takes Danny home.

Welcome to the 2025 WUBBY AWARDS for General Hospital!! Usually I have trouble coming up with the best actor/supporting categories but I'm happy to say that THIS YEAR it's been a tough choice. SO many great moments by our cast. What a difficult year in terms of losses and memorials. There were moments of joy, laughter and tears that really made 2025 memorable. Week In A Wubshell

 

This is coming to you today because a special post will be made tomorrow!! Here's what happened this week on GH--Four days instead of five. We actually caught up to the right day on Friday: Boxing Day!! 

Super Star Outback continues to shine. This week she stole Tracey's glove while she was talking to Gio at the stables. 

Molly and Cody Cute Kiss outside and plan on seeing each other on New Year's Eve. 

Portia confesses to seeing Isaiah on the night of the shooting...making Trina angry AF and Curtis realize his holier than thou rantings about her are justified. 

Alexis receives and anonymous letter saying Michael was at Drew's and Tracey saw him. 

Nice Trina and Marshall montage on "Christmas Day" ...showing all the parties around Port Charles and family gatherings. 

Carly's heart grows three sizes and she takes Charlotte to see her Papa in the attic of her house. 

Drew continues to be a dick but did "allow" Willow to take Scout to her grandmother's for a visit. 

Ava went to Wyndemere and even tho Lucy got the diamonds from Sidwell, she was best dressed, best everything for the day. 

Gio accepts the violin from Ned and Sonny and plays us a tune for Boxing Day. 

Donna had a great time---no sign of Avery. 

That's about it!! No sign of Anna on Christmas Day or the day after. I hope she got some Christmas Pudding or at least a turkey sandwich. Spinelli and Georgie were visiting Maxie and James got a new saddle. Dr O showed up at Maxie's house and so did Mac Daddy and Felicia. The judge adjourned court until after the new year and Alexis is scrambling to save Willow's defense. 

Tomorrow will be The 2025 Wub Awards so make sure you tune in!

BOXING DAY

 
We are in the midst of a snow storm here!! We'll see how much we get. It's been falling for only an hour and it looks like almost an inch. It's supposed to go until 4am so here's hoping it slows down!! Hope your day was a good one yesterday. It was relaxing here and everyone made it home today.

TODAY'S SHOW: 

Over at Scrooge's house, Drew yells at Marty on the phone. Willow looks sad because she can't give her present to Amelia. Scout is sad because she can't see HER family. Drew is just being a prick and not caring. They are going to Wyndemere and Scout is staying with "Chelsea". Willow is like: LET her go to her grandmothers FFS! He says no, he's punishing Alexis. Willow says don't punish Scout too! God he's horrible

Boxing Day at Wyndemere! British Sidwell is having a party. Lucas and Marco are all dressed up. Lucy comes in and has diamond earrings on that Sidwell gave her. Ava is there too and looks GORGEOUS-- love that dress. Jordan shows up. Ava tells her she's not taking sides on the divorce thing but wants to support Trina. Lucy and Ava spar. Drew comes to Sidwell's by himself. 

Laura and Kevin welcome Lulu, Char, Rocco and Sonny in to the apt. ANOTHER PARTY? Laura's nervous to have Sonny there I think. They talk AGAIN how they have to 'protect the family'. Brother, that's like 1099 times in the past 3 weeks. WE GET IT. Kevin thanks Sonny for helping Laura out of her tight spot. Later on Charlotte TELLS ROCCO SHE SAW HER FATHER! GOOD GOD

Tracey is trying to rest and Leo and Wiley run in. They want her to look in a box at what they found in the stables. BUT IT ESCAPED! It was a frog, they found it. Cody is going to go see Molly. Tracey misses Monica. Ned and Olivia talk about the first Christmas without Monica. Gio and Emma arrive. Sonny comes too because Tracey wants Gio to feel welcome. Ned and Sonny talk about the violin the are giving Gio. Then Leo finds it and is like: HEY! You forgot to give Gio his present. He went to get a tie and found it. Can't understand why Gio wouldn't want to have it and play NOW. Wiley says Aunt Tracey would like it, it would cheer her up. They all miss Monica. Gio looks stricken--Brook notices. 

Molly and Krissy go to see Alexis but she's busy working on Willow's case. Alexis feels badly she put Portia on the stand. They watch a Hallmark movie and eat Chinese food. Cody knocks on the door and Molly is mortified that she's in her robe and looks messy. He comes in and they have some food. He asks her out for New Years. She says yes and they kiss.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas

Christmas Eve

 

It's Christmas Eve!! But you know that-- !! Feels weird to be here but I've got everything done and I could sit for an hour and watch GH. It's even sunny outside so we are pretty cheerful. 

CHRISTMAS EVE:  

Brook and Chase go to Maxie's. Nathan and MAC DADDY are there too. Dr O and Nina come too. James is going to face time Uncle Robert and Sasha with Felicia. Then Nathan and Cody are upset that James' saddle has been delayed in delivery. Cody is running out to get it at the distribution center. James wonders if people are mad he didn't go to see Maxie with Spinelli and Georgie. They say it's fine. Nathan will take him next week. Emma gets a photo from Anna showing her skiing.

 James doesn't want Cody to leave so Cody calls Molly to go pick the package up for him. Molly comes in and got it. Emma gives Gio her old digeridoo. You know that Australian instrument. 

Carly gets a gift from Jack. She's going to Sonny's house this year so she won't see him. 

Val is decorating a tree in the attic and Donna sees it....runs out. Donna goes into the kitchen and says: MOM! Come see the tree in the attic! Then Kristina pops up with ribbon for her and Brennan leaves. It was a WEIRD scene. Carly goes up to the attic. Valentin is sad about not seeing Charlotte but is grateful Carly is letting him stay there. 

Brennan is on the phone: "Pull the trigger on Britt Westborne" which I have no idea what that means, but I don't think it's literal. 

Marshall is home to console Curtis on the whole Portia thing. Stella cooked. Tina and Kai come over. Trina is sad but won't let her mother ruin Christmas for her. They talk about Christmas' past. Then Jordan is at the door. Trina invited her to apologize. Then she says she's sorry to Curtis for accusing him of cheating on Portia. The family talks and Trina gets a text from Ava. You can tell she wishes it was from her mother.

Liz talks to Portia in her office. Portia says she's suspended but she thinks she will get fired. Liz hopes not. They talk about the trial so you can hear the whole summary again. Aiden is with Lucky, Cam is in CA with his girlfriend's family and Jake stayed in Spain. She wonders if Portia wants to come over for dinner--she says no she needs to think and be alone. Then Isaiah comes in and they talk about the trial. 

Britt and Lucas have to work -she got called in. He volunteered. Britt was supposed to go to The Scorpios. Lucas is seeing Marco later. Dr O sends a pic of her and Nathan to Britt. Britt is glad. OH Britt gets her medical license back. I think that's what Brennan was doing. 

Charlotte, Lulu, Gio, Rocco and Dante are at Sonny's..Dante is uncomfortable and wants to leave. Sonny says that's the worst thing he can do. Gio does leave to go to the Scorpios. Charlotte tells Rocco he should be happy his dad is there and trying. She'd give anything to see HER dad. Krissy and Donna show up next. She wants to hear him play carols on his violin and he says he doesn't have one anymore. Carly gets there and sees Charlotte playing with the key and ribbon. She looks sad. Carly says: Come with me to get Bobbie's nativity scene, I forgot it!! Aw, she's taking her to see Val.

NOTE: Sonny says Ned and him bought Gio a violin together but they are waiting for Gio to be ready to play again.

NICE montage at the end... Trina sings while Marshall plays the clarinet. Cute things. Brennan does lurk behind Britt at GH. Then Carly takes Charlotte up to the attic and Valentin is so happy. Nice moment. I got goosebumps.

2026 predictions (and beyond)

 DAVE AND KAREN'S WILD 2026 PREDICTIONS! 

Well, it's that time again. Our crazy predictions for the future of GH. Let's see how well we do. As always, this is fiction and not to be taken seriously. 

Marco and Lucas won't last the year as a couple. 

Kristen Storms will not return. The character will be recast. Although...

If Kristen stays, I want Georgie to come back for one episode and help Maxie out of her coma and do the sisterly conversations they were always good at.

So, look who's back...and guess who will be his obsession? AVA. 
Zaccara-Jerome mobular action. I'm here for it! 

Faison will make a cameo in a flashback... 

They will be a couple ... like for real for real

Marco ends up almost killing his father while rescuing Lucas 

A story for Elizabeth involving a famous 'cameo' appearance of some nostalgic star. They come to GH with end stage illness and want Liz to help them with an assisted suicide. She has to fight with her moral/ethics. 

Aiden comes back on screen (RECAST) and faces choices about life and college. He wants to set up his own food/bake truck. He'd also like to move in with Tobias. 

The Tristan Rogers memorial will be a one day stand alone episode. It will involve the WSB and revolve around some caper, quite like the Sean Donnelly tribute was a one day storyline. Emma Samms will return and will have a total tearjerker scene with Finola

Also, Mayor Collins will rename the police station the Robert Scorpio Hall of Justice.

Ava and Sidwell are a match made in heaven hell and he starts stealing art from all over the world to woo her. Even the Louvre! He must kill Johnny Z first (see above)

Am I the only one who has "abducted by aliens for 7 years" on their 2026 bingo card?

Someone in Port Charles is hurting for money and starts an Onlyfans account. He does it anonymously with a mask, but gossip flies fast and furious through the town. Wonder who...

Laura finds out Leslie has passed. She's getting ready to go to the funeral and the phone rings. Guess who's at the other end laughing? 

Trim the Trees

 

NOTE:  GH will air new shows Mon-Wed and then again on Friday. I wasn't sure about Friday so I'm glad I looked. I think Sidwell is hosting a holiday event so let's hope it's juicy! 

ALSO NOTE:  General Hospital will re-air Tony's goodbye Luke episode on January 1st . 

TODAY'S SHOW:  Looks like Tree Trimming Day!

Brad/Britt at the PCPD. Chase is like: You left your CC at the restaurant AND you stiffed your waiter! Britt says all she was doing was going back to her apt to get another credit card. They get their phones to call a lawyer. Britt calls Nina but she doesn't pick up. She calls Jason.

Tracey is in Cody's stable house. Outback stole her glove. Awww. She wants to throw the glove out now. Cody says Outback saved her house. Tracey is playing mean but is smiling at the doggie. They talk about her new responsibility for the entire family. He talks about Molly. He says she ghosted him on Thanksgiving (he doesn't know she saw him kiss Britt).

Portia is moping in her cabin because she knows she's going to let Trina down. She'll be upset if the baby isn't Curtis'.

Gio brings Trina's tree into her apartment. Then Emma stops by to give Tri her present. Wonders why Gio isn't at Lulu's. He's going soon. He leaves.

Emma, Danny, Jason and Molly surprise Alexis with a tree. Sam mention. Then Molly mentions Cody and Jason said he was at the Brown Dog when Britt kissed Cody. And then he has to leave to go get Britt. Danny tells Molly to stop being weird and go tell Cody she likes him. She leaves. Poor Alexis. 

He gets there, tells Britt he'll bail her out but not Brad. Then Brad tells Britt Jason can't be "her person" if he leaves her best friend behind. 

Lulu tells Sonny and Laura she hopes Dante and Rocco don't come to blows at their family decorating fun. They talk about Rocco/Gio and yada yada. Dante comes home. They all start to decorate the tree. Laura and Sonny talk about protecting everyone from Sidwell. Then Rocco makes an announcement thanking everyone for their support. 

Ava and Nina talk about their relationship and that Nina should forgive her for warning Portia. Nina's just going on and on about her daughter and blah blah. Doesn't answer her phone. Aw, very nice scene about being friends and such.

Jordan and Curtis talk about the trial and such. Boring. They look nice tho! they just talk and talk and talk about Portia and Trina.

Jason paid the bill at the restaurant but Britt and Brad can never eat there again
