Sunday Surgery: In A Pickle

 

Short, sweet and to the point. I saw Tuesday, Thursday and Friday's shows. What a pleasure to just dip my toes in and not HAVE to watch daily! This was a good week to just watch because it was all in one place and characters came and went. Great dialog--funny. Pathos as well. 

Ready??  Grab a Gherkin! 

Let's put on a picnic!! Yes, I know it ran all week but I found it delightful! Especially on Hulu with no commercials 2 of the days! It was fun to watch how it went from really crowded with extras and one set of the cast to dwindling to no extras and a whole other set of people coming on! The other funny thing was, you could tell there were different dialog writers because one day it was all burgers and hotdogs and Friday it was ribs and pork chops!!

By the way...did you ever see anyone EAT? Did they ever FINISH any of those burgers? LOL 

WUB POTION OF THE WEEK: Little Leo made some of Nona's Sicilian Thunder and WELP! People were making out all over!! Drew and Carly who actually forgot the grill was on and started a small fire, Finn and Liz doing it by the horses and Brook and Chase finally sharing a smootch! Sam and Dante are moving into her place (um...that has no yard but whatever).  Who got the real potion? Yuri and Terry who were very charming together. Poor Monica.

MASTER ACTING CLASS OF THE WEEK: Usually this is saved for Maura West and although she was fabulous, Nick Chavez was just glorious. If you didn't see the scenes where he finds out about Nikolas and Esme RUN to YouTube right now and DO IT. Amazing. That kid has something. It was heart melting pathos right there. The way he shook before crying? Wow. Can't fake that. Just glorious scenes. Bravo. 

DICK OF THE WEEK: We all wanted to do this!! Why? Nikolas blamed AVA for Spencer finding out about Esme!! Why? He though she knew Spencer was behind her. LOL Um, no. He then blames Esme--and everything under the Cassadine roof for what happened. Such a jerk. The more he talked, the more I hated him. He couldn't take any responsibility "You were broken up"!! "You didn't really love her"!! "It was just ONE time" ... Geesh. 

I'M SMOOSHING YOUR HEAD OF THE WEEK: Kids in the Hall fans will get that! Yep, Ol' Austin seems to finally have a story. It involves a bald cousin, some kind of debt and ...a "Lady Boss" somewhere. I betting on Ms Wu and gambling debts? Hmmm.. we shall see. 

ONE LINERS OF THE WEEK: Were FLYING all over the place!! There were many, many meat jokes. BUT..the best went to Leo who first told Nina that "You're the one that used to be Wiley's Grandmother" and then "Mom said you stole Aunt Carly's business". Bahahaha.  The kid delivered those to a "T".

FINN F*KS UP AGAIN OF THE WEEK: He just couldn't leave well enough alone. Nope, had to go digging for answers and make a phone call to Dr. Webber. I assumed that was to Liz's mama but no! It was to Sarah! Interesting!! Anyway, Liz basically tells him he's an ass and runs out of the horse house. She appears all scraped up in the woods and bleeding. Flashes back to her and some lady on the stairs. I guess this will keep going for awhile! 

WHAT IN THE CORN HOLE OF THE WEEK:  Um.. yeah, this happened!! ahahaha. Anna was tossing bean-bags at Val's FACE!! OMG.  I loved it. 

HEY THERE, PARTNER: Dosey DOE!!! Mac looking at Cody like: DOH!! You're Dominique's kid?? I swear you could see the addition going on in his head LOL Yes, I am your father. I'm giving it 1:1 odds. 

HOOK OF THE WEEK :What's a Port Charles event without a little blood-guts? This time?? Ava gets it--right in the stomach!! Who did it? Who has that hook in their hand? Is it Esme...back from the dead?? Is it Ryan, who only HAS one hand sinking another hook into Ava because he found out Esme is missing? Maybe Esme made it to him and told him she pushed her off the parpet. WHO could it be?? They led us to believe it may have been Austin's bald cousin but come on--too easy. I'd like it to be Liz in a fugue state but they showed her bloody way before this happened. Why? Unexpected. 

WUBS WISHES OF THE WEEK: Oh boy.. I did enjoy Victor and Ava before all hell broke loose!! They are my AVATOR!!

Nina saved Olivia's desserts

Leo made magic wub potion; Yuri and Terry fell for each other

Sam and Dante are moving into the Penthouse together

Anna convinces Lucy to charm Victor for information 

Mac meets Cody, you can see the wheels turning

Brook and Chase kiss but only briefly

Drew and Carly kiss way more 

Sonny tells Michael to never shut the door in his face again. Period

Spencer finds out Nikolas slept with Esme 

Drew and Carly won the 3 legged race 

Austin tussles with his cousin Mason over debts he owes 

Someone stabs Ava with a hook

That's all folks!! Great acting and tons of fun things happening. Dialog writers were on point for sure!! Not sure if I'll be watching much next week, we will see. I will probably tune in Monday to catch what happens to Ava and the aftermath of THE HOOK.
