Sunday Surgery: Pumped Up

 

Well, I had a pretty good week until the clinker of a Friday show!! I know they can't be all exciting but geesh!! Not good to fall asleep at the end of the week. 

Get your red cups and let's go. 

TEEN DRINKING: DON'T DO IT!! So, I did think the party went well and it just wasn't about one thing. We also had Emma lose that hard drive, Joss "find" it and then have a talk about bad Professor Dalton. Danny went off with some girls to play volleyball and we know Rocco went off to do shots with Frat Boys. Ut. Oh. Passed out in the sand!! Gio got him to the boathouse when Cody came in, noticed his breathing was bad and took him to GH.  THEN ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE 

ANGRY DANTE:  Dante was angry with Gio for not taking Rocco straight to GH, then mad at Danny for taking him to the party in the first place, then mad a Lois for coddling Gio (his WHOLE LIFE!) then mad a Jason for not being a good parent and finally mad with himself he canceled the baseball game they were supposed to go to. PHEW!! Thing is, it was over by Friday and Dante was cool with everyone. The boys got some chores to do, Jason felt the guilt and Lulu got another clue about Gio. I guess we learned that Dante somehow knew about Lois and "the aunts" treatment of Gio even tho he was in Port Charles all that time. BUT! OK!  
Danny and or Rocco got a lecture from: Dante, Lois, Lulu, Laura, Jason, SASHA, probably the Amazon delivery guy and some others. 

DREW SLITHERS OUT OF IT:  Just when you think it's going to be the end of him, he comes on back!! Not only does Willow believe he was intentionally drugged, Brad spilled in 3 seconds flat who did it!! He's playing with Portia now and got more Ketamine which he showed Willow and told her it was "vitamin supplement".  Hmmmm. Who's he going to give THAT to?? 

THE ANTI-SONNY GANG: Tracey, Jordan, Marco and Sidwell sit at a table and plan on getting Sonny one way or another. Tracey just wants that mobster GONE. I guess without Scotty around someone needs to take on that role!! Jordan and Sidwell go to his house and make him an offer to sell the pier. That move would save him with the votes and let Laura not be associated with him as much. Sonny has a little heart spell, brushes it off then tells Jason he's thinking about it. Actually, if he really wants out of the mob, that's one way to do it! It will also get us rid of my LEAST favorite word: ESPLANADE! 

MY FAVES: Oh what good scenes! Ric and Ava working together to pump Alexis for more money!! Ric opens an offshore account for them to use and her to 'donate' into. Maybe Alexis will use that dagger on him!!? Ric is just delightful and puts on a good show of contrition for Molly. Great scene. Oh yeah, at The Brown Dog, Cody finds out they are using a ritzy credit card that's rare and has a high limit. Hmmmm... 

WE WANT A BABY:  Brook and Chase go to Alexis to find themselves a child to adopt. She tells them that Brook Lyn giving up her baby so long ago won't matter. They are relieved. Alexis is going to reach out to her private adoption attorney friends. 

BYE BRAD:  Damn it! You know I love this character and believe we always need one underhanded person at GH but he seems to be out the door. Parry hasn't said so himself and since he's a day player probably doesn't know if he'll be called back some day. It was a nice Brucas scene at the end and VH even teared up a little. Brad got a cool million from Drew (he doubled it with the favor) and set off into the sunset. Wonder what Aunt Selina will do! 

LIZ AND LUCKY TEENY SCENES:  So, we got a Liz scene at the hospital where she talked to Isaiah about him missing dinner dates. She and Lucas figured if Brad left, he must have taken the blackmailing with him.  Then we had a throwaway scene with Lucky and Kristina in the bar where he talked her into giving her mom another chance. That was it for those two. 

ALMOST FORGOT: Yeah, Kai walked. *sigh* He has no family around and that surgery was the most boring thing ever. He woke up like he'd been out for some snacks then walked a few steps. That's it. No one even posted a photo of it that I could find so there's one from January! 

THINGS TO NOTE: 

Joss washed Emma's zip drive so she won't get the intern job

Vaughn is going to play a maintenance man at PCU to help her out

Ned will endorse Laura for Mayor

No one knows where Charlotte is because she's sure not around Lulu's house (or mentioned)

Not sure that Drew will have Mac press charges on anyone for his drugging, he didn't even want to see the Grille footage

Everyone had a nice lecture ready about teen drinking, trust and yada yada

Kristina tried to let her anger go at her mother, Molly's still not there yet

Chase and Brook search for a child to adopt

Willow tells Sasha Michael refused to see her in Germany, Sasha tells Jason 

Brad leaves with moolah in his pockets

The ESPLANADE thing is either going to end soon or I'll lose my mind

Kai took a step and thinks there's no paralysis

QUESTIONS THAT WUBSY HAS: 

Why didn't they have Lucky discover Ava's card when he was bartending? I mean, isn't he a lynchpin in there that knows the truth and could figure it out?? Why CODY? The Molly connection? Makes little sense. 

Drew and the Ketamine. He has a bottle, now what's he going to do with it? 

Why didn't Charlotte come downstairs while Rocco was cleaning and be all "You dummy"!! "My room is next and I left it a mess"!! 

Why wasn't Kai a Ward? Connected to the Qs, coming to PCU for football? I just don't get this character.  Such a bore. Poor Trina. She didn't even get to go to the party. 

NEWS AND NOTES/PASSAGES:  As you probably have seen, Denise Alexander passed away this week. What a part of my GH growing up years she was!! Such a funny lady and great person. I can't believe she and Leslie Charleson are gone now. They will need 2 photos on that wall. I believe Denise's last appearance on GH was in February of 2021. 

That's a wrap! Some good scenes this week and then most of them didn't lead to anything really astounding. No one found out it was Nina and Portia that drugged Drew, no real Gio movement and Sonny? Meh. Hope you had a good week and if you celebrate, have a great mother's day.
