Michael Fairman: Soap Net is Gone in March: NEW NOTE
The Disney Channel has confirmed a launch date for its new 24-hour preschool channel. Disney Junior that will replace SOAPnet on most cable and satellite systems at midnight on Friday, March 23. However according to TVG, “A handful of viewers will still receive SOAPnet after March 22, but only because a few cable and satellite deals with Disney are still being finalized. Once those deals are done SOAPnet will completely shut down.”
Read it all on Michael Fairman's page.
Disney Jr. will take it's place. Nice move... the same week OLTL is over, this is announced. When's the GH one coming?
NOTE: Michael Fairman has said SoapNet will go off the air "Next Year" but NOT in March as planned. A retraction may be printed today. I'll keep you posted. Either way, the channel is gone in 2013.

"The network is gone in 2013"?That's not fair! That's impossible for events to be pushed one year later. The 1990s beginning on January 1, 1991? That's not the case. SOAPNet ends on March 23, 2012, but an automated version of SOAPNet's schedule will be available for some cable providers until contracts for Disney Junior are finalized.
